Mid-30s guy with an addiction for fan fiction presently, and a slew of unfinished writing in my file cabinet and computer that I never seem to manage to complete full stories. Plots and bits and pieces, sure, but start-to-finish stories still elude me.
Aside from that I'm always over-thinking things, have a science background but love my fiction books... and I guess I'm a twi-guy being here as much as I am lately :S (I own the series and The Host as well). Also a fan of David Eddings and Clive Cussler.
Just starting an Education degree that'll eventually send me out to Middle and Secondary schools to teach math and science (mostly biology, probably).
Oh and my friends just gave me an Edward doll from the Barbie range (he sparkles! lol they didn't realise it at the time either) My Twi-diction is kind of a running joke for them, but their nice enough about it :)

hehe so B&E are "sort of" engaged now, which works for them since as far as the public is concerned they're only "sort of" involved :)
I kind of like the idea of Rose being the one to go up against Don, maybe even in some connection to the problems with James, but I'm not really sure how that would work lol. Don doesn't seem like he'd even care about the personal stuff?
looking forward to the moment Bella accepts it's her own writing getting the public support too :)

As much as I want to know how long the angst is going to go for, a part of the "enjoyment" is reading about the path they take to each other...
I just hope it doesn't go on for very long on 'our' side of things.
It's going to be interesting to see how B&E, the Cullens and the magazine handle this all in general. And just whom will the replacement for Bella be?

whew I'm impressed with the Conference and everything else the Cullens have done to help Bella and Edward deal with the split.
The magazine bosses sending of Bella to work with Jess makes me think there's more going on behind the scenes on their account than we know.
Or perhaps I'm just paranoid :S
Loved that Angela was able to cheer Bella up with the responses to the articles and the latest development :)

Great to see a new chapter. I'm not so sure I'd call it uneventful, since I'd say getting Angela in on the "truth" was a big deal. It also seemed to be a chapter for highlighting the changes Bella has undergone since being a part of the Cullen's extended circle - being in love, and more comfortable around the baby for instance :)

It's great to see everyone happy at the end of it all, and even the moment with James was a "blink and you'll miss it" kind of thing :)

Summary:

lol i just found the whole image of Bella bouncing off of something at that speed hilarious... especially since she went for a self-assessment before checking what she ran into :) Author's Response: Well she probably just thought it was a big tree or a rock. It was a bit of a funny entrance for Edward, though I doubt he finds it comical.

oh my! When you said you went for the more violent version I wasn't sure what to expect but to be honest I was laughing the whole time...
I mean, aside from the pain, we know they're indestructible so taking the arms off isn't the end of the world.... but damn, that was some funny stuff!!
I was actually waiting for Bella to belt Edward with his own arms lol
And he got off light for the harm he cause both her and it seems Alice as well!
Summary:  
*Takes place during New Moon in an alternate universe.
On March 16, 2006, the World changed, and everything and anything that the Cullens ever cared about was lost. They had to find their own way in this New World. Edward never wished to exist in a world where Bella didn't. Unfortunately, his family desperately needed him, so he'd stay to help them. And by doing so, he hoped to redeem himself for his failure to save the one creature he couldn't protect.
With rumours in the South of humans feeding off the living and stealing people from their beds, the Cullens have a responsibility to protect the ones they can from those monsters in the night. This was Edward's last chance to fight for his soul and his salvation. He would finally be ready to face Judgement day and be deemed worthy enough to be with Bella once again. Or would something or someone change the path he was destined to go down? Faith, hope and love are powerful things, and Edward is about to find out just how powerful they are.
Yes... this is the story that is set during a post-apocalyptic nuclear war. Just try the Prologue to get a feel for it before passing judgment. You might be surprised. Warning: There is violence and disturbing images the further the story goes along.

hmm well I'd expect there's still a good chance for Bella being out there somewhere... Edward was more than a little distracted hearing that whisper of a voice - added to which he'd never been able to 'hear' her before so why would he expect to at that point?

Title: Chapter 11: That Which Does Not Kill Us Makes Us Stronger
gah great chapter and I'm really hoping our favourite Confederate makes it back from his trip in one piece!! Since it's an 'end of the world' story I'm not so sure what you've got planned for all of them although I do still harbour the beleif that Bella's around... a part of me wonders if she's been traumatised enough that it's her building the army but I hope that's not the case!

Title: Chapter 18: Faith Keeps the Man Who Keeps his Faith
yay for the baby!! It's kind of weird to be reading about Carlisle's time away from the family, knowing that he obviously came to his senses eventually, but seeing him lose himself SO BADLY before that just adds to the overall intensity I think.
It also reinforces that the Cullens have gone through just as much on their end of things as the rest of the human race seems to have. The family had more options though to get themselves together.
Loved Rosalie finding her calling as a teacher - haven't really seen that idea much :)

Title: Chapter 19: Music Has Charms to Soothe the Savage Beast
wow a long and very interesting chapter! Emmett winning his award was hilarious, and it really is a shame Jasper missed that!
Speaking of which, that necklace for Alice was AWESOME!! I'm sure if she could, there would've been floods of tears! Especially adding Esme's reaction to the "house" in the compound.
As for naming the compound, the more prosaic ideas I'd have are to find some kind of word/phrase that sums up the suffering and hope and new life all in one...

OMG!!! YES!! I've been waiting for this part SO LONG it feels like!
Sorry to hear about your loss, I don't think I've quite gotten over my own collie passing, and that was years ago (though I'm also known for not being able to let go of such things very easily)
I'm relieved that we already "know" that 'Phoenix' has made it out with Jasper - it will help me sit still to read the upcoming chapters of her story, even though there's obviously going to be a huge amount of trouble still coming with Maria's revenge and the possible arrival of the Volturi etc

Title: Chapter 22: Patience is Bitter, But Its Reward is Sweet
whew this has been so intense, and I can only imagine how difficult the escape must've been. I'm somewhat relieved to see Edward's resolve at the end of the chapter, though it's the first time he's really come to this conclusion, so I can still see him wavering a bit, particularly when he's eventually faced with Garrett and Bella in the "flesh"
