Mid-30s guy with an addiction for fan fiction presently, and a slew of unfinished writing in my file cabinet and computer that I never seem to manage to complete full stories. Plots and bits and pieces, sure, but start-to-finish stories still elude me.
Aside from that I'm always over-thinking things, have a science background but love my fiction books... and I guess I'm a twi-guy being here as much as I am lately :S (I own the series and The Host as well). Also a fan of David Eddings and Clive Cussler.
Just starting an Education degree that'll eventually send me out to Middle and Secondary schools to teach math and science (mostly biology, probably).
Oh and my friends just gave me an Edward doll from the Barbie range (he sparkles! lol they didn't realise it at the time either) My Twi-diction is kind of a running joke for them, but their nice enough about it :)

ahh Quil... I was holding out hope, and he's made some progress, but it looks like there's some more to be learned/made :) Author's Response: Thank you for your reviews. Yes Bella standing up to Rose was fun for me. I think that when you attack a child the mother is gonna come for you! LOL.
And Quil, yes he is mature for his age but he is still only a teenager. He does mean well, but he is hurting.

whoa Quil's gone through a lot of changes in the last few chapters, but thankfully seems to be calming down and getting onto a less destructive path :)
Can't wait to see his reconciliation with Bella, after everything that's happened, I can't imagine it would be easy for him, or Bella for that matter. Author's Response: Yes, Quil is finding his groove a bit but don't expect him to just snap out of his old habits, he's still a teen after all. LOL

ohh dear... it's almost too hard to read how confused and aggressive Quil is becoming, knowing that it's going to lead to more pain and bloodshed :S
I'm happy though, that Claire brought a dose of reality to him, even if he's still drawing the wrong conclusions for now...

ahh nice reasoning there, Bella, Edward WOULD have struggled to not blame himself if he'd been the one to bite.
On a humorous note, Alice might only struggle when Bella's resisting her fashion demands? ;) Author's Response: Thanks for all your reviews. You are the only one who guessed based on the "forever" that Bella was going to say yes. I put that in as foreshadowing and yet everyone thought Bella would say no.
Summary: Bella comes to Forks at age 17. She meets the Cullen family. They all become friends. But is Bella really a normal human? Why did she come to live with Charlie at all? And who is the boy that really captures her heart? (Not the best summary I've ever written, but I don't want to give away something that will be discovered as you read) Also, possible/probable non-cannon pairings.
Rated for later chapters.

Title: Chapter 10: Tracker
hehe quite liking the way Bella and Edward are carefully getting closer to each other. Intrigued by the appearance of Enkidu... I think that was Gilgamesh's friend/betrayer or something, right? It's been a while since I read the tales.
Had to laugh at Demetri's discomfort and bolting at the end of his "request/message" :) Author's Response: "carefully getting closer to one another" - yep, that pretty much sums it up.
Yes, Enkidu was the wild man of the woods, raised by animals, made by the gods because Gilgamesh was mistreating his subjects. In the Epic, Enkidu is eventually drawn from the woods by a woman and loses his connection to the animals. He fights Gilgamesh, but then they become friends and set out on adventures. Enkidu is eventually killed by the gods, and Gilgamesh goes on a quest for immortality. -- I'm using some things from the Epic and not others. Sort of picking up thematic bits like it's a buffet, lol.
I always love to see the Volturi knocked down a peg or two. Bella was 2800 yrs old when the Volturi took over after their war with the Romanians in 500 AD (thank goodness for the Twi Lexicon website timeline) so to her they're just the next set of vamps who want to rule the world.

Right now, Bella's only feeling anxious and concerned from the looks of things... and I find myself simultaneously wanting, and not wanting, to see what happens when she really gets mad about things.
I'm guessing it's not a good idea to have that happen on a plane at 30000 feet though hehe Author's Response: She's probably fine with using her anger, but there's no point in unleashing it until she knows what's going on and can use it to make a difference, not just to vent. No 30,000 ft is not where we want her to cut loose, I think. lol

hmm it was interesting to see Bella's ability at work a little more there. Wonder if we'll be seeing a reunion with Edward shortly or is the scent Bella's rushing towards an old trail already?
Also wondering how Bella's going to determine if Edward was only interested because she was "there" ... and how he'll prove otherwise?
Author's Response: I miss Edward. I'm following my outline, but will have us back with him as fast as I can. It wont' be long now...
Bella does suspect that Edward might not have strong feeling for her, but he'll just have to convince her otherwise.

whoa quite the chapter there - so much history to work through between Dae/Bella and Enkidu/Kurtz... sounds like Edward's been "forced" onto human blood down in that sinkhole - having them thrown at him?
Author's Response: Yes, pitching the 'food' down to him is the easiest way to feed him without risking him attacking or escaping, and it looks like his captors didn't take his special dietary needs into consideration.

Esme Allen is an Architecture Instructor at Forks High School. When Emmett Cullen and Rosalie Hale chronically ignore the school's PDA policy, she decides that it's time for a parent-teacher conference.
Carlisle Cullen is the father, for all intents and purposes, of six perpetual teenagers: Edward and Bella, Emmett and Rosalie, Alice and Jasper. His children have found love, but Carlisle in 350+ years is still without a mate. He has no idea what Emmett and Rosalie could possibly have done to merit a meeting with their teacher. Little does he know, fate works in weird ways.
Added side note: I will not end this story until I've created a happily ever after for them all!
