I'm glad you liked the picnic.  I try hard to work moments into this fic where people can see why Nessie is the perfect match for Jake, and not just that he is perfect for her.  I find that a lot of fan fictions don't focus on that when it comes to imprinting, but the way I understood it, the pair of people are supposed to be perfect for each other... so this is my way of trying to show why he needs her as much as she needs him.

LOL @ Paul 'shutting his pie hole'!  I'll deliver the mesage!  But if you don't hear from me for a while, it's probably because he lost his temper with me after I tell him that ;-)

Teaser Chapter 43 – Secrets, Lies & Sacrifice

JPOV

I heard Edward sigh deeply and then quietly agree before filling the vamps in on my impromptu plan, and then make amendments for Bella, Kate’s and his gifts.  Bella was to hang back from the crowd and stay out of sight, trying to shield each of the vamps, and me – and therefore my pack – while Kate would be in the front lines with Emmett, Rosalie and Garrett as our first line of defence.  Carlisle and Esme would join them, but Carlisle was to stay out of danger as much as possible in case we needed his services after finding her.

I looked over at Edward and caught his eye, now nearly black with determination to find his daughter and the desire to maim or kill whoever had taken her.  I’m sure mine echoed the same sentiments, but louder.  We nodded and then ordered our respective groups to begin spreading out, stalking forward quickly.

I’m coming, baby, I whispered to myself, as if she could hear me, just hold on – I’m almost there.

I;m glad that you noticed Leah's contribution to Nessie's recovery.  I didn't play it up a lot on the chapter, but she really helped them save her life that day too.  Leah really does care a lot for Nessie.
