This is very sensitively and thoughtfully written. Thanks for not rushing where it's going. (Of course, we're all looking forward to the eventual reunion of J&E, but understand they both have a lot of growing to do first.)
Author's Response: Thank you! I know people are wanting Jasper back but you are correct, neither of them are ready just yet. But I promise not to drag it out, and hopefully it will be believable enough. There are 15 chapters in total and an epi so there isn't really a lot left. I know people want to know what's going on in Jasper's head, but this is really E's journey... maybe if I get up the energy, I'l write J's side. Who knows! :]

Mmm ... Seth seems almost a little TOO giving, a little TOO understanding. I gotta tell you, I'm not too impressed with Alec. He struck me as immature and not really worthy of Edward. And if I read it right, he regularly dropped E. Edward can (and should) do so much better. I'm kind of hoping that there's something in the videos that helps him get over Alec sooner rather than later!

You do a WONDERFUL job writing about the lovemaking/sex ... but I'd like to understand what E and A actually saw in each other except for the intense physical attraction. You've painted Seth as fun-loving, caring, deep, compassionate, and Edward as heartbroken. Alec just seems (to me) immature and selfish. A taker. Am I wrong? If not, hopefully something will be revealed to help Edward close the book on their affair. Hope so!
Summary: Bella has a 4.0 GPA, is President of the Student Council and volunteers at Forks Community Hospital. Edward is pierced, has tattoos, and has to serve 100 hours community service at the hospital. What happens when the bad boy finds out the good girl has a wild side? ExB, AH, OOC, Rated NC-17

This is such an interesting idea; never read something like it before. Thanks for sharing it with us!
By the way, you might want to review your next draft re: point-of-view (that is, "who's head" you're in. This chapter went back and forth between Edward's POV and Bella's. It's fine to switch POV; you should just be clear about it and do it at a natural time (like a change of scene). Just an idea! :-)

I love this story. So completely original! Hard to understand why she wouldn't be freaked out by the full head mask ... maybe when he memory comes back she'll remember some near time horror movies!
Author's Response: Oooh...I like the horror movie idea....hmmm....Actually, in this time, people that had horribly disfiguring accidents or illnesses wore masks or pounds and pounds of (lead based) makeup. So it's not completely out of the realm of possibility that it wasn't quite as scary as we would think of it now. That and Bella's compassionate nature just overlooks it.

My goodness, that's a small royalty check. But it DOES indicate royalties in excess of advance, right? So you were originally paid a lump sum advance before your book was published? I'm working on my second romance manuscript, so know how much effort goes into just finishing the thing, much less the second and third edits, plus shopping it around to agents. I applaud you! What is the title of your book?
Author's Response: LOL. My advance was $600. Seven years ago. I "gave birth" to my book at the same time I gave birth to my younger daughter. It was an eventful year! It was a non-fiction work with a very specialized audience so I'm pleased even 1 person bought it! That said, I hope you'll forgive me for not divulging the title. I use a nom de plume so I can write freely and have fun. =)

Ooooo -- cliffhanger! So perhaps Lord Masen has a romantic interest in Bella??? I'm assuming that his disfigurement and loss of limb is associated with the fire, but perhaps you'll tell us a different reason.
Isn't the proper phrase "gone to hell IN a handbasket?" It sounds like you know lots more about this period than I do, so forgive my impertinance if I'm wrong!
Author's Response: The proper phrase is "Hell in a handbasket" but I was doing a play on words. Since L has her ever present handbasket and the story sort of took a wild turn in that chapter, it worked. I love word twists. And plot twists. *grin*

Enthralled by this story! Fun to think about whether the students are the only one not in on the magic (which I think is the case from what I've read so far) ... and why it is that the Cullens stage this event each summer. Just for something interesting to do? After all, eternity can get boring without diversions ...
Author's Response: Thanks! The Cullen's mainly do this as a favor for L. To keep her busy though as the story develops, the need for that lessens.

This is all so interesting! I've heard of these immersion things before (in New England) but they were typically just a long weekend or a week. I'll bet you'd find lots of readers interested in spending a "vacation" at one just like you are creating!
