Tanya must have really done a number on Edward for him to be so jaded as this.  Does she still go to school in Niceville or has she gone to the other side and attend FWB now?

Looking forward to Edward's next encounter with Bella.  Sooner or later the walls have to start coming down.

Giggle!   The reaction should be somewhat epic?!!

The plan was to read one chapter and then get back to what I need to do.  Clearly that did not happen.

First Alice and then Emmett.  Now I have butterflies and a silly grin.  This story is great!

Okay just one more chapter.

Well I have never been a writer but are reviews really better than suffocating in Edwards arms?

I can't help but wonder what it would be like to see my 12 year old crush again.   As I recall he was no Edward!  What a good reunion you have created.  It is so much fun to see how happy the Cullen kids are to see Bella again after all these years.  Now Esme and Carlisle are all that remain.

So will Tanya be there?  If she hides her true colors from Edward this may push her over the top.

Ok, 2 more chapters and then I have to do what needs to be done!  Hell I damn near forgot about Big Brother earlier!

Okay I kept mah undies on.  But I am really happy that Edward left the she devil at home or under a rock or wherever.  This is getting better and better.  Did I tell you how happy I am that Tanya is not there?

I could see Esme's recognition as she realized just who the guest is.  Don't you know she is one happy woman to see Bella is there in her home ... and it appears that she is with her son ... and as you already know the hag is not with him.

I'm so happy right now you'd think I was there with Edward.

One more chapter.

Well, maybe one more chapter.

He has held on to his crush as long as she has.  The ease in which they talk and sitting on the floor in his room had me swooning in my seat.  OMG!  I will be reading his POV that is for sure.

Loved the group hug.  I am somewhat certain that I may have shed a tear or two when Esme and Carlisle realized that this was their Bella that they held in their arms after all these years.  The whole story is just fun.  And believable too!  We do live in a small world and sometimes we meet people that firmly support the 6 degrees of separation theory.

Now if you can just get rid of Tanya I will be a very happy woman.  Well I'd also like to hear Edward play piano.

Did I not read that this is your first fan fiction?  You seem to have found a niche.

The time our couple are spending together continues to garner my silly grin.  I hate that Edward lied to Tanya but I understand.  I just want him to break up with her.

I am loving Chicago.  SW Michigan girl here.  Of all the cities I have visited it reamains my favorite.

Bella's reaction to the painting was so real.  It is amazing how moving it is to be in the presence of something so significant.

Yeah, one more chapter.

So cue the Jaws music as Jacob enters the picture and Bella seems to be a little creeped out by him.  I got the feeling that he could have been stalking around looking at her reaction to his note.  It really was somewhat eerie.

I really wanted her to get back on the plane and go back to Chicago.  At the very least I wanted to see Edward get off that plane too.

You know Uncle Phil may have to go to Chicago to play and maybe Bella could go to watch?  The talk about being tired has me a little concerned.  Maybe he will have to retire from playing and take a coaching job in Chicago.  Or, worse case scenario, he is going to have a heart attack and really leave her an orphan.  In which case she could move to be closer to her "other family".

Yep, I do need to do those dishes but it certainly can't hurt for them to soak a bit longer right?

OK so I've donedishiesand put on jammies and really need to go to bed now but fuck me if I can pry myself away from this story.

Loved the necklace last chapter and all the partying and I did laugh alot.  So is Edward like outside there in Arizona?

Well one more chapter.

:le sigh:  Loved the humor and girly girl that I am I even loved the melancholy moments.   I kept hoping for a fan fiction meets Little Mermaid moment and several times I found myself humming "Kiss the Girl".  Poor Bella just doesn't get it!

Now before we say good bye to Edward I have a companion piece to read.

*sniff* indeed.  And I thought the EPOV was sniff worthy.  Hmfph.

So much left unsaid but the kiss, brief as it was, was a kiss none the less.

I just feel so bad for Bella.  She had a second family growing up that left her behind at a young age only to be left orphaned by her parents.  Yes her uncle came in and brought her to his home but he was on the road so much that her homelife had to be somewhat unstable.  Luckily she had Rosalie for a best friend but she too abandoned her when she moved to Chicago.  It just seems that the constants in her life came and went and she never had the security of permanance.  Yes, no?

So here the Cullens are back in her life but their lives are so very far away.  Can she uproot and leave her only living family behind?  Despite the fact that her uncle travels he is her family so I can't see her leaving him. And there is Edward who is about to embark upon his own journey now.

I've already said that this time apart might not be so bad as E/B have a chance to reconnect with phone calls and emails without the insecurity of wondering what the other is thinking.

One thing is for certain and that is I do the idea that you know exactly where you are going with this and for what it is worth I do take comfort in that!

Sandra

Author's Response:

Sandra,

I love all of your reviews...always so indepth!  You hit the nail on the head, she doesn't know much when it comes to permanance.  This will play a big part in her insecurities too later on.

I do have a plan, and I will promise a happy ending!

Thanks again for leaving some love!

No wrath Stacy, just a few bits of laughter as I read your A/N.

I have to admit I was wondering myself where the police were and what took so long.  I was going to say something about donuts but it really wasn't that funny.   Jacob is creepy in this story.  Have we heard the last of him?   Can you imagine Edwards reaction when he hears about this?

I do believe now would be a good time to go to Chicago and celebrate with Alice.  Maybe the family can let Bella know how important she is to Edward.

When I could not get through Twilighted I check and found you have this on FF too.  I have already added it to the C2.  I'd like to know why in the hale it does not have more reviews???????????  I am going to have to don my feather boa and start pimpin this story on the threads.

Sandra

Author's Response:

Oh my lovely, Sandra...you are a resourceful one!  Yes, this silly little story is over on FF (it's actually complete...but I'm changing and tweaking a few things over here)  I haven't completed Edward's side of things yet, it's haunting me at the moment, but I keep chipping away at it.  As for the reviews, I don't know why it doesn't have that many over on FF, it seems to be doing much better over here.  Who knows?!

I'm all for pimpin'...I pimp my faves too, so you get going wit your bad self.  Come play with us on the Serendipity thread too!  I want more readers to come play over there...it seems like it's just me and a couple of peeps squawking at each other.

As always, thanks for the love & thanks for being okay with me making Jake the creeptacular bad guy!

Yes, I can say that I understand Bella's reasoning but will Edward understand it when he gets back and finds out what happened?  He has to and that's all there is to it!

Poor Phil.  How hard that was for him to encourage her to leave.  But I am a little concerned for him.  Once again you have mentioned he is looking tired.

So Bella feels she is going home .  I feel the same way for her.  The excitement of a new city.  Going to be with her other family.  And when Edward gets home she'll get to see him as well and we get to see him woo her.

I am very curious to see how this will play out so without further ado I am off with the speed of a herd of turtles.

Well that was a double whammy chapter.

I won't count the time before Edward shows up because, well it was expected.  But when he showed up at the museum I may have squeed just a little louder that normal...I think I scared the dog.

Edward took the news of Jacob pretty much as I expected he would.  What I did not expect was for him to fly out of his chair and tell Bella he loved her.  We knew it would happen eventually but this was a jump out of yor seat moment, a drop you jaw moment, an O.M.E. moment, a WOW moment.  That and well perhaps she knows who the dark haired beauty is now.

This was a great chapter.  So now we get to watch them fall in love right?

What a fabulous chapter to come back to!    I almost felt as though I was standing next to Esme, with a smirk, because Bella didn't get it.  But when he took her to his room and spelled it all out for her I giggled like the fan girl that I am.  Now she knows.  And he kissed her.  Yeah, a little bit of a sigh going on here.

Finally.  It's all out.  She gets it.  He gets it.  And Alice got a whole lot she did not want.  But that was necessary for Bella to finally get it.

So now ...

  • I sit.
  • I grin.
  • I rub my hands together.

And I think to myself, "Let the fun begin!"

Define "Savor it, it won't last long."?  What is going to happen?  Okay don't answer that I will find out.  I just have to tell myself that you remind me of an HEA kind of girl.

And yeah, I stand by my girl crush on Bella statement....at least in this chapter.  Tanya was such a bitch and provoked my girl.  Bella had no choice but to take her down.  It was much funnier in Bella's POV.  And, oh how I love Emmett.

Sandra

Author's Response:

Don't fret...I am a HEA kind of girl! ;)

Your girl crush on Bella is cool with me.  I love Emmett, he's so fun.

I wonder back, however many chapters ago, if this wasn't going to happen when Phil mentioned he was tired.  How awful for Bella.  It's like being orphaned all over again only this time she lost the last of her living relatives.   I hate that it had to happen during the holiday season.  Thankfully Edward was able to be with her so she did not have to face it alone.

So now she is set for life financially, or so it would seem.  I can not imagine that it will make a bit of difference to Edward.

So now with the new year upon them it is a time for Auld Lang Syne.  When I look at this chapter and what has transpired so far in the story I can see the whole one door closed/another door opened theory.  She had found the "family" that she had lost so many years ago was reunited with them in such a way that her best friend Rosalie was now a part of her family as well.  Everyone welcomed her  back into the fold with open arms and unconditional love.  You told us that Phil had been ill for a while.  It is almost as if he held on until he was certain she would be loved.  Okay, maybe I will need those tissues after all.

No one can replace the family that she has lost and we do not necessarily want to forget those in the past, well maybe Tanya, but we do want to look to the future now.....

Than goodness the kleenex were still on the table when I read this chapter.  I was quite the trouper with the baseball team and the school field but when Edward joined her at the cemetary I just kind of lost it.

So they are going to buy a house together.  I had better quick read the next chapter before someone comes and drags me away again.

OMFE!  He has taken her to their new house hasn't he?  The one they were waiting to hear about.  Guess I will find out soon enough!

This chapter was pure fluff.  I always laugh when girls try to get the attention of our three men...as if they have eyes for anyone other then the three they are with or waiting for.

So here sit, grinning like a girl in love.  The proposal was beautiful.  Love the new house.  It sounds very Bella and Edward like.  (Are you from Chicago?  I can picture the house in one of the older neighborhoods.)

Author's Response:

Alas, I am not from Chi-town...but I've been there several times (honeymooned there & cried in front of Water Lily Pond just like Bella).  Chicago is my favorite city, I love to visit.  I envisioned some of the older neighborhoods that I've walked through, and the insides of some of the brownstones that my friends have lived in & kind of came up with my own idea of what a fairy tale cottage might look like in the midst of the city.

I'm glad you're enjoying this...I'm anxious to hear from you when you're all done!
