Title: Chapter 6: Chapter 6
Sorry to have missed the last couple of updates. Slowly but surely I am catching up. Please forgive me for such a short review.
I am loving how Bella is making friends and fitting into the Forks environment. Watching James squirm is damn near entertaining. Looking forward to more.
Sandra Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review. No worries on slowly catching up, I'm doing the same with reviews right now. lol RL just gets in the way sometimes. Glad you're enjoying James' torment, more coming up!
Thanks again,

The plotting thickens and I am loving how they are putting Edward out of the picture. And maybe it's just me but Edward seems to be noticing Bella a little more.
Author's Response: Yes, Edward is definitely noticing Bella more and he is confused as hell about it. Some Bella and Edward time coming up soon though!

Title: Chapter 9: Chapter 9
Would it be okay with you if I call Tanya a bitch? And a question about Angela ~ Does she know what goes on between Edward and Tanya? And does she see anything different about the way Edward looks at Bella? Oh, and does any of this phase her? She just seems so aloof or is it all about her position? So technically that was four questions. I find the whole number system to be amusingly interesting. Does this mean if Bella did not rank so high she would not have been so easily accepted? Okay so that is five. Just one more and I will be done ... How long before Tanya turns on Bella?
Author's Response: It is totally okay to call Tanya a bitch! lol She is one. Yes, Angela does know what's going on between Edward and Tanya. If you look back to the beginning of chapter 7 (sorry, I know it was awhile ago) she internally makes a comment to herself about it. She, as well as most of the others, have not noticed the way that Edward looks at Bella; Jasper is really the only one who has really picked up on it. In regards to how it affects Angela, while she's not pleased with Edward's actions, she also has her own agenda for being with him; connections. She knows that being his girlfriend, she will be introduced to people she never would be otherwise. So, she puts up with his actions because she's using him too. Although, she wishes he'd screw around with some nameless sophomore than Tanya, but she really doesn't care as long as he's somewhat discreet. Although, Edward doesn't know any of that and thinks he's just incredibly careful with his indiscretions.
Yes, if Bella had not ranked so high, she probably would not have been accepted so easily, but she also had another in that will be revealed in a couple chapters.
How long before Tanya turns on Bella? Not until the next book. Tanya won't realize Bella is really a threat until it's way too late.
Hope I answered your questions! Thanks for reading!

Title: Chapter 11: Chapter 11
This was a really good chapter. A little humor, a little serious business, and lots of information.
I believe I began to giggle with Esme's words to Edward and Carlisle. No fear if Carlisle seems to be a little out of the loop of what is going on in his home for Esme will tell him what he needs to know. Esme's thoughts of Angela were well paced and placed and we see that she (A) really is not a force to be reckoned with although she does a good job keeping the skanks at bay. It's true they are still there but none of them get the in with Edward that they, namely Tanya, would like. We also see how Angela uses Edward to her advantage. I look forward to the eventual E/A breakup and how she will take it.
The E/B time was soooooo much fun to read. There was a lightness and ease about the time they spent together...no pretense, no errors...just two teens hanging out being kids. I felt Edward's admission of Victoria was rather significant. It definitely was not a shining moment in his life yet he was comfortable enough to share it with Bella. The whole dynamic of the morning worked. Don't laugh but it made me feel like Esme's fly on the wall as I watched it unfold. She'd be happy to know that her mission was accomplished.
Let's hear it for Garrett. Did he call James out on his shit with Bella or what. I am still chuckling on that one.
Given the J/V/E history it is going to be interesting watching these two young men vie for Bella's attention. It is pretty obvious that James is smitten by Bella but he does have face to save and must procede with caution. Based on history we see he is not below cheating when the going gets tough and I look for him to call out the big guns to get what he wants. I see a certain vulneability in Edward. Granted he has been raised in the same "environment" and is no angel but there is something about him. His homelife is different. In addition to love he has had guidance, unlike James who has been left alone to his own devices, And although my money is on Edward I have a feeling James is going to throw every monkey wrench he can to keep Bella and Edward apart.
Sandra
Author's Response: Hey Sandra! I have to say that every time I post a new chapter I get super excited waiting to see your review! lol They're always so well thoughtout and interesting, I appreciate that you've taken such an interest in my story.
Carlisle is out of the loop on the smaller things and does rely on Esme to be "in the know" about them. He cares about what his children are doing, but at the same time he has his own things to take care of and like many of the other parents in this "world" he doesn't bring it up unless he feels they're embarassing him. Esme knows a lot more than she lets on to anyone; one: because she's not really from this "world" and two: because some of the kids really talk to her. Yes, Esme sees exactly what Angela is up to, but wont overly interfer in her son's life because she knows he needs to lead it, but we know she'll do what it takes to protect her baby boy and possibly push him in a better direction *cough* Bella *cough*. I think Tanya not getting what she wants from Edward may actually have more to do with the fact that deep down Edward doesn't want to play that game (feeding into the lives of the parents; which he sees would happen were he to really be with Tanya) but just like other things, he doesn't know any better. There will be some actual E/A time coming up in Ch 13 that will shed a bit more light on them as a couple.
I'm glad you enjoyed the E/B time so much. There will be more of this in the future, showing how they're building such a "real" foundation. No, the Victoria thing was definitely not a great moment for Edward, but I think it really shows how human he is and how much he wants to really have a relationship, not just a pretty girl on his arm as some of the others seem to be okay with. As much as we can fault Carlisle for the things he does to his children, the one great thing he has done for them is to set a great example of a marriage. Carlisle is deeply in love with Esme and treats her with enormous respect. An example that we know James doesn't have as referenced by the fact that he know about all of his father's affairs.
Garrett is definitely one of my favorite "extra" characters to write, right now. You're not really sure where he stands on the being good/being bad issue and therefore I can pretty much make him do whatever he wants. I think it's obvious that his main focus is Kate, but other than that, everything else is fair game.
It will be interesting to see how Bella's affections are played out, but as that is the main plot line of the story, I can't give too much away on it. ;) I will say that I think James' transformation is the biggest in the story.
Thanks for reading!

Title: Chapter 12: Chapter 12
JUMP.BACK.JACK. Did not see any of this coming. *well except Bella going to Edward* Forget what I said in the last chapter about being raised with love and guidance. I have been bamboozled. We see that the Cullen's and Beaver Cleaver's family are not made in the same mold. No siree sir they are from the same mold as all the rest and the story title begins to flash in neon lights. I don't exactly know what all my mumbo jumbo means but it will come to me eventually. I will say this though. I really want to believe that Edward gets his goodness from Esme. I have to believe good can be found somewhere.
It is said that blood is thicker than water. After witnessing this family get together you cannot prove it by me. However. You certainly did not waste anytime getting into the thick of things. Kiera, this was masterfully told. Bella and I had a bonding moment as we bared witness to the scene as it unfolds before us. I won't lie, we see that Carlisle is a forceful man from the moment we see him in the restaurant, but I never expected this.
Alec? The man gives me the creeps. Does't he know that NO means NO? He does pass the sleaze factor test and has certainly chosen the right profession. (Please tell me you are not a lawyer?!!!) Actually I do not believe all lawyers are sleaze balls but I do shudder at the thought of Alec taking a liking to any young lady.
My first reaction to Jane was filled with thoughts of anorexia. Maybe bulemia. After all one must obtain the perfect image. So yeah, I look forward to this side story.
I was glad that Bella left the table when the open attack was waged against Edward. That was a rather demeaning display of family bonding. How does one live up to the expectations? Running into Jasper was a surprise. His perspective shed a whole new light. Little did we know at the time that he is running from demons in his own home. Charlotte and Alec would be a match made in hell, huh? The whole thing sends shivers down my spine and not in a good way. So Alice has a secret too, and J will do whatever is within his power to protect her.
The ride home from the restaurant was less than enjoyable. Each kid lost in their own thoughts. I felt so bad for Edward. What I wouldn't give to read a few entries in his journal. But who else has he had to talk to? When Bella goes to him I smiled. And not in an I'm so happy way but rather he does not have to be alone sort of way. And it was two fold. She needed someone to protect her. I may have been wrong about perspective in my last review but I was not wrong in that they are forming an open, honest bond between them. And this is what makes me smile in a really happy way.
And as everyone in the small town of Forks settles in to the long night ahead each character is lost in his or her own world of thoughts. The girls are no doubt sharing stories and gossip about anyone and everyone in Forks. Perhaps Carlisle and Esme speak of the children. One may find Jane in her bathroom, alone as she purges her stomach of it's contents. Alec is pissed. Edward pulls Bella close in a protective embrace. And Jasper fights a raging battle to keep Alice safe one more day. I look at all this and I am reminded that no one truly knows what goes on behind closed doors. I realize, too, that larger closets don't necessarily mean more clothes, just new and improved skeletons.
Sandra
Author's Response: Hey Sandra! Is it bad that I feel pleased that I've shocked you so much with this chapter? lol No, the Cullens and the Beavers definitely would'nt have gotten along well. But yes, Edward does get his "goodness" from Esme. While Esme is not cut from the exact same mold as Carlisle, Margreaux and the other parents, she is from a similar society and definitely knows how to play the game. However, she does have a very caring and nuturing side to her as well.
Yes, Alec is defintely the sleazest of the sleazest. No, I am not a lawyer, but I do work for them. Luckily, I have always been blessed enough to work for the good ones and not the creatins that give them a bad name. Plus, the area of law I currently work in doesn't allow for as much sleaze as a lot of other areas.
There won't be a ton about Jane in this story, but I do believe you have a good perception of her. I basically wanted to show the difference in what Edward described of her earlier (when he mentioned they always used to go out for breakfast) and what we see of her now. I'm not sure where she'll go through these stories, if anywhere, so for right now she's just a decoration on the wall, so to speak.
I'm glad you agreed with Bella leaving the table. Part of her (and me) wanted her to stay there for Edward as moral support if nothing else, but I think she suspected that Edward didn't really want her watching him get berrated like he was. Yes, J has his own demons that he's dealing with, even if he seems to be fine with everything. There will be some more on that in chapter 14 (I'm writing it now). I think it is interesting to note that Charlotte and Alec were actually in the same grade though (you'll find that out next chapter). I'm curious as to what makes you think that the secret J is hiding is Alice's though?
Yes, Edward and Bella are forming a very deep connection with each other. Where it will take them, only time will tell. ;)
I love your last paragraph of your review! It really makes it sound like you reviewed the chapter for like, a newspaper or something. I just though it was really cool!

Keira

Title: Chapter 13: Chapter 13
Hi Keira! In January I got the call from Michigan calling the family together as we were losing mom so I have been gone for awhile. (She passed March 6th.) It was so hard on dad.
Anyhoo I am slowly but surely getting back into the swing of ff. I am afraid I am a bit rusty on most of the stories that I was following so it will take a few chapters to get back up to speed.
This chapter was quite informative and I am not sure I fully grasp all the info in contains. Lunch with the ladies was entertaining to say the least.
I was also amused with Kate's initial thoughts of Bella. Will we read more about their note comparisons in the future? So I can't help but giggle at James in that he has a reputation to live up to trying to keep his cool and all.
And Edward really had his hopes up with Angela .... well maybe more than his hopes were "up" but as he said it was all about her. I get the feeling that they may be at the beginning of the end? There is no doubt in my mind that he is on his way to see Tanya and am I wrong to think that that may be a disaster in the making. She was texting earlier and I thought perhaps she was texting him. I really need to go back and re-read parts but do not have time right now, lol.
Sandra
Summary: After Edward left, Laurent comes back and attacks Bella but instead of the wolves saving her, Irina turns her. Bella is adjusting well to her new life as a vampire living with the Denali coven, remembering very little about her human years until she needs the information, when some familiar faces from her human life show up at their door. And then the hardest memories comes back.

Title: Chapter 6: Chapter 6
It's almost as if Bella has opened Pandora's box by calling Edward. There will be no turning back now. But I can't help but wonder if Tanya is seeing someone too. This just gets better and better.
Summary: There had been a time when Edward hadn't believed that kind of all-consuming love really existed. And during those dark days after he learned of his wife's betrayal, he'd never believed he would be happy again. But now, he was happier and more in love than he thought possible, and Rosalie and Jasper Whitlock would get theirs someday - someday soon. And justice would be delivered by the very hands of those they had spent years slowly destroying. Hell hath no fury like that of the Scorned...

Bella and Edward are in love, but they are married to other people. In their attempt to discover a way out of their horrible marriages so they can be together and build a future, they find themselves amidst a storm far more serious and frightening than divorce court.

Title: Chapter 8: Chapter 8: Who Dropped a House on Her Sister?
The Whitlocks are a pretty ruthless group of scoundrels. If we were to research their family history would we find nothing but scalawags and crooks? Modern day pirates? It's kinda like how does one rise above it when they don't know how to fly.
Rose seems to have found her true love in Emmett. It does not matter that the feeling is mutual as he hopes his dad does not find out that she will accompany him in the family box. She makes mention that Jasper is now on board to help her leave Edward. Does that include sleeping with the enemies sister to get the goods on Edward?
There are so many what ifs in this story that I cannot begin to speculate. As much as I abhor your Rosalie I want her to be able to redeem herself at least enough to be worthy of Emmett. Jasper is no less an ass than his sister but if he wants a future with Alice he, too, needs to prove himself. Neither Bella or Edward deserve the the hand they have been dealt at this time.
Hmmm ... I have to wonder if I am reading this correctly. What if R/J are working together to free themselves from their parents thumb. Perhaps the reason they have gone to such lengths to keep their personal computers under lock and key at home is to hide what they are doing from their parents. If they can become free of mom and dad then they can be free to pursue those that that truly love. What has sparked my imagination is how far she has gone to gain control of Edward's money. She has already disappointed the 'rents with her modeling and then again with Royce. Getting her hands on Royce's money eluded her. She obviously does not want to be with Edward but will not walk away empty handed either for whatever reason. Just a thought, something to put in my pipe and smoke it. Author's Response: Think of the Whitlocks as a family like the royalty of the olden age - Romans, Egyptians, and forward. Blood was everything, yet nothing. They used their heritage as an excuse, and yet had no problems committing patricide to take the throne for themselves. Each generation of Whitlock is raised w/what is acceptable by their parents in terms of business and personal conduct, and each is willing to go at least one step farther than the the predecessor. And even though you can point to upbringing as the source of such vile actions, each person reaches adulthood with a general concept of what at least society and law deem acceptable behavior and must choose - do I continue to act as my parents or do I begin to think for myself?
Rose and Jasper are products are their upbringing, but still the perpetrators of their own crimes. As you keep reading, I think you'll begin to stop looking for redemption and start looking for revenge and for rescue of the new people Rose and Jasper have ensnared in their net. Bella and Edward have their eyes open now, but that doesn't mean more people aren't falling for the traps, like Emmett.
Is Emmett Rose's true love? Possibly. But does that outweight her love for herself and money? Consider this, her entire relationship with Emmett, just like Edward, is built on a lie. Emmett is under the impression that Edward is an asshole, when we know that Edward has done nothing to warrant such condemnation by his wife, rather the other way around. Makes you wonder what actually went down with Rose and Royce, doesn't it? And remember canon Rose here, as well - willing to give up Emmett, who loves her so much, for some elusive whim of a dream of having a child. A dream she'd only begun to have the night she "died" yet holds onto as if her entire world is built around it. Is it any better to be with a person because they can give you babies than it is to be with them because they give you money? People don't always put such things in that context, but it certainly shows Rose's valuation of love versus something she wants, doesn't it?
As for Jasper, well...I'll just say we've only hit the tip of the iceberg with him. I don't want to give away any more, because, well the mystery is half the fun, right?, but I will say this. Don't assume anything with him until it is spelled out in black and white. You might just be blindsided that way...then again, that's kind of fun, too, I guess.
Thank you so much for the thoughtful reviews! I can't tell you how much I really needed the feedback and to hear the the thoughts of the readers after these last couple of chapters, especially since Rose & Edward's history in particular was so anticipated by everyone. I hope I didn't disappoint. Thanks again! :O)

Title: Chapter 7: Chapter 7: No Regrets
I love the intrigue here. What is Jasper hiding? I do hope Felix delivers a few answers and soon. Do Jaspers secrets tie in to Rosalie's secrets?
So here I am amused as all get out as Jake procedes to spill Jaspers secret life to Bella. Now if I were in Bella's shoes I would not find it nearly as entertaining.
Anyway loved the back story and look forward to more.
Sandra Author's Response: This won't be the last we see of Jake, and that conversation, we'll find, is a turning point in his own life and behaviors. He begins to see, just a little that, sure, he isn't married...but does that mean his behavior is acceptable? Not wrong, necessarily, but not right either. The women who sleep so indescriminately with them, they don't know that Jasper has a wife and child, but did they even ask? Would they care, even if they did? Does Jake want to even associate with such people, let alone be intimate with them? Jake does some growing up and get to see the new and improved version as well (one who isn't such a, well, dog). Kind of like canon Jake, huh? All angsty and selfish because he wanted Bella to love him, but when he finally felt what true devotion was in regards to Renesmee, he grew up bit, didn't he?
Now that I'm done rambling about Jake, I'll tell that Jasper's secrets will be revealed a little like bread crumbs to the witch's house. It's so tempting to just spill it all, but that wouldn't make for a good story, of course. (sigh) I've always been the person who gives out christmas gifts early because I can't wait any longer to see the looks on my loved ones' faces when the open them, so this restraint on my part is truly glorious, I must say, lol. :O)

Title: Chapter 5: Chapter 5: Louder Than Words
Bella and Edward do belong together. Looks as if she will be free (hopefully) sooner than later. I just hope she will be able to keep her daughter. My biggest fear there is that he will find a way to leave her and take the child and that will not be good. Well that and that he will have Bella followed and find her and Edward together and no telling how that would fair with Rosalie's wrath.
I did find it interesting that Edward has an obvious relationship with Charlie and even Lucy. As a child does she see him simply as her uncle? Certainly she can't see him as her mother's lover but I would imagine that at some point she would say something to her father that would raise a red flag. I look forward to how this all plays out very much.
Sandra
Author's Response: Actually, Chapter 6 (which is already done and should be posted in a few days) sheds a lot of light on both Lucy's relationship with Edward & her relationship with Jasper, both of which are, obviously, very important and telling about Bella & her dealings with both men. As for Charlie, let's just say that Bella is guilty of the same thing as Edward - failing to utilize and perhaps underestimating the support and help she has right at her fingertips, but the rest of their families are quite as oblivious as either the Whitlocks (who are too self-absorbed) or Edward & Bella (who were too entrenched to see the 'light at the end of the tunnel' so to speak).
Thanx for reading & reviewing. I hope I don't disappoint as the story continues to unfold.
Summary: Edward Cullen, silently waiting in longing for Bella to accept his proposal, has a nice quiet evening planned for he and Bella to relax and celebrate their love. But Bella has a surprise in store for him...

Subtlynice ~
It is no secret that I love your writing. That being said.....
For the most part I read all human stories with an occasional AU vamp thrown in for good measure. You are the only author that I consistantly read in canon. You hold me captive every time. Every single time I read one of your story pieces I find myself within the mind of the character whose pov is being told. There is no doubt in my mind that you could write Midnight Sun for the entire Twilight Saga and do it justice.
There is one passage in this writing that absolutely touched my heart.... "...so closely entwined that her very soul would be within touching distance..." It is wording like this that makes me smile with every fiber of my being. I can't ever thank you enough for sharing your talent with us.
~ Sandra Author's Response: Thank you. You know that means so much to me, and I can't explain how glad I am to hear that. I know that my stories are far from the most popular genre - all canon, all oneshots, all strictly PG-13 - and I know that my stories will never get many reviews. But in my opinion, reviews like yours are worth ten or twenty of the reviews I may recieve writing something different, because you always encourage me to keep writing what I love. xx

Fret no more Looby Lu. I don't know that you could have written this any better, especially since we see the story through Bella's eyes only.
We knew in the beginning of the story that Bella did not find herself to be enough to be with Edward. All we have to do is look at the last four years to know that nothing has changed within her own mind on that front. If it had she would have never sworn Alice to secrecy.
All things considered I thought the meeting between Edward and Bella went quite well. He could have gone off on her half cocked but he didn't and I for one am so very happy to have been spared that angst. It is in Carlie's best interest that the transition from one parent to two goes as smoothly as possible. Besides the calm demeanor of both parents leads one to believe that there is hope for an hea in the future.
Into every life a little rain must fall and I guess Tanya is as great a thunderstorm as any. Again, from the onset, we knew the Edward/Tanya dynamic left a lot to be desired. I swear my jaw dropped when she showed up in this chapter. We do not know what they are to one another at this time but I am relieved they are not married, at least not yet.
Edward was about to say something when Tanya walked in. She sure put the kibosh on further conversation between Edward and Bella so for us her timing was all wrong, lol.
In all I would have to say that this was a great chapter. No let me change that to excellent!
Sandra Author's Response: <3 you loads!
Thanks so much for that review! I have been getting myself in a bit of a tizz over this bit. When I first wrote it, it was such a small part of the story compared to the rest of it, and I honestly never imagined that it would become such an important part to so many reviewers. (I never thought I would HAVE so many reviewers!!!) I suppose having brought my son up as a single parent, and then with a new husband very successfully and without any worry about his father (in fact, it may have been much better if he had no imput in my sons life) that I didn't think that it was such a big issue. Maybe, there are a lot of chords out there that I inadvertantly plucked.
Anyway - most people have been pretty supportive and understanding, even if they would have rather things had been different. Now I can get on with some Edward/Bella stuff. At last!!!!

Title: Chapter 13: Chapter 13
Are you kidding?!! Of course we enjoyed that. And you would know that for a fact if you could see my sparkly eyes and huge smile. I am somewhat certain I am not alone on that one.
The family day at the beach was very loving ... especially after Bella told Edward the true nature of her relationship with Jacob. Having Leah show up with their sons certainly helped with that aspect. It was as if the air was cleared on that side of the equation and Edward was able to truly breathe. Now we must wait and see how the other half goes when we get more information about Tanya. I don't know. I have a feeling we are way off base on that front. Like maybe she and Edward are just friends.
After Carlie's reaction to the fauna at the beach can you imagine how much fun she will have with her daddy at the zoo. Of course my favorite is the fact that as Edward gets to know his daughter he also gets to know Bella better. Watching them become a family is going to be great even if you do throw in bits of angst here and there.
Sandra Author's Response: Thanks, Sandra!
I really enjoyed writing that one. Bella would never think to volunteer that information, because to her it wasn't a big deal, so Edward had to find out for himself. I also love writing about Edward and Carlie. As one of my reviewers pointed out, that relationship was missing in Breaking Dawn. We never really got to see him being a Daddy to Renesmee.
As for Tanya, she will be popping up again, but not for a couple of chapters. Lets enjoy the moment!!!

Title: Chapter 15: Chapter 15
Good Morning Looby! Such a great gift to wake up to.
I would have to say the first visit to Edward's home is going quite well. Father/Daughter kitchen time was fun. I could certainly understand Bella's thoughts on the whole share your child thing. It won't be long and she will realize that her fears are unwarrented.
Loved the softer parts of the chapter ... he looked at her lips, she pushed the flour from his face, he referred to her as his muse. And the funny part was she thought he was referring to Carlie. Oh yes! This is going to get better and better and I really do need a bit of fluff right now.
Sandra Author's Response: I have to say, there is a lot of sex on Twilighted at the moment! It's getting so bad, I am starting to skip some of it, because I am bored! Sometimes, the anticipation is just as good as the actual thing!
So far, so good. Zoo next, and that is going to be lovely, but.......

You did it! You fixed it! Well you started to anyway. I just knew that Esme would see it. Now that I can sigh with relief I am a bit apprehensive of how Edward is going to take the news. I look forward to how you are going to do it.
Author's Response: Yay! I knew you knew! I jusy didn't tell you that I knew you knew! As for the next chapter, I am a bit apprehensive myself. It seemed alright when I wrote it, but now I'm starting to wonder whether people won't like it - especially after such a hyped-up long wait! Oh well, I'll just have to bite the bullet!

Title: Chapter 21: Chapter 21
GUFFAW! I feel like the A/N was written just for me. True, the chapter was longer and fyi I would have read the next chapter no matter what. pfth.
Bella looked beautiful. Alice coached Carlie so well that she was properly seen by all in attendance. And Edward. Are there words to describe that man in a tuxedo?
Alice is one sneaky spitfire. She is a master at leaving an impression or should I say an illusion. What is the old saying about assuming? Yeah, well one of these days Bella needs to learn to ask proper questions. Heaven help Bella and Edward should Alice teach this art form to Carlie.
Okay let me make sure I have this right. They met up at the show and danced afterward. Bella discovers she will not be staying at the hotel. They are at Edward's place sharing a bottle of wine. He is about to tell her about Tanya and she wonders whether she really wants to know exactly what their relationship is all about. Are you kidding Looby. Honey if Bella does not want to know that is fine. Just write her out of the scene and put me in it. I would love to share a glass of wine with that man as he tells me everything I want to know and then some.
Sandra
R/N: I love the tension you have written into this story and how it always leaves me pretty much begging for more. It has gotten to where whenever I get an update notice I begin to giggle in anticipation of the cliffie. Question though. Have you patterned your Alice around yourself? Author's Response: Bless you Sandra! If it was me, I'd have grabbed an explanation from him long before this - in fact I would have walked in on the phone call back in Seattle and sat and chatted with him. He was obviously in a bit of a state having already downed a short. Then I would have promised to kiss him better - all over!!! Yum!!
As for Alice, she is nothing like me I'm afraid. I don't have the wit to be that devious and clever. I'm more like Bella in as much as I avoid confrontation and try and get on with everyone.
I really hope you enjoy the next chapter. You can giggle when you get it, but you won't have a cliffie at the end to worry about!

Title: Chapter 1: Prologue and Chapter 1
Ah. Bella. What has he done to you. More importantly, will he remember? And what about Tanya? What is she to Edward?
Looking forward to answers as the story plays out. Author's Response: Thank-you for taking the time to review. I really appreciate it.

I was afraid of this possibility. And Edward probably still has no clue what he has done. How will she hide this? Will she leave? So many questions. Author's Response: I'm not going to give you the answers either! :P But thank-you for reading, I hope you enjoy the way the story unfolds.

Title: Chapter 3: Chapter 3
I really like how you have moved this story to Forks and life with Charlie. There are not a lot words and yet there is no question or doubt as to how they have come to be there. For me, it is all about the comfort and the relationship Bella is building with her dad at this time. Thank you for giving Jacob a girlfriend. I am happy that Bella has a support system but I a even happier with her strength.
Enter Alice. OMG! The whirlwind we all know and love has arrived and I find myself with a bit of a grin and with a giggle I have to ask, "Just how bad is this going to get?".
Looking forward to more.
Sandra Author's Response: What a lovely review - Thank-you. I'm afraid I was never a fan of the E/B/J triangle. Jacob is going to be the best friend that he should have been in Twilight. You've gotta love Charlie too. You could never doubt his love and sincerity when it comes to Bella.
And Alice! She makes me smile too. You know that life is never going to be boring when she's in the picture. I hope you enjoy the rest of the story.

Title: Chapter 4: Chapter 4
I love all things Alice. But I have to say your Alice is right up there in my top 5 favorites. The relationship she has forged with Charlie makes my heart happy. She may not be willing to let it go until she gets a name but her love for Bella is unconditional. The Cullen Christmas gifts were heartfelt and even my eyes teared up.
I continue to love and admire this Bella. The line about giving up so much really got to me but when it is followed by what she has to gain I can't help but feel a sense of contentment.
Normally I would be asking a gazillion questions right about now but there is something about this story that encourages me to sit back and enjoy the ride. I cannot explain it other that to say I am perfectly happy to wait for the story to unfold. That says alot for your skills as a storyteller!
Sandra Author's Response: Thank-you so much for this review. After Edward, Alice is my favourite character and I have always loved her take on life. She is very fierce in her love and I would be so happy to have her as my friend.
I have to say, I get cross with people who don't understand Bella. She may be young, but as Renee says, she has an old soul. When she makes a decision, she sticks with it, despite what it might cost her. I can't think of any time when she has regretted the path she takes.
I hope I don't have to make you wait too long for the story to unfold! Author's Response: Thank-you so much for this review. Title: Chapter 5: Chapter 5
Oh, Looby Lu,
IT'S SHOWTIME!
I sit. I smile. I ponder.
Will Alice be right? Is this a girl? And will she have the tell/tale copper hair? Despite who she does or does not look like she will be loved. Just like her mama she will be surrounded by those who love her.
I have been very quiet so far in letting the pieces fall where they may as the story plays out and all of a sudden I am a little concerned for any heart fail that could possibly be on the way. Alice has remained close to Bella and been a true friend. How long will it be before she questions the little ones paternity and will she be able to keep quite once she figures it out. Our favorite pixie chick is going to carry a great burden before it is all over.
We have not heard much about Edward. We saw pictures of him and the family over the Thanksgiving and New Years holiday but we do not know where his mind is. I have wondered about his relationship with Tanya a time or two but then I remember she left the initial party with someone else. Now I have to wonder if that is why he got so wasted and was with Bella in the first place. But he also refers to Bella as My Bella then too. I cannot help but wonder where his mind had wandered when the photo was taken.
No more questions. Once again I leave you with their story to tell and I hope you do not leave a single word about the miracle of life that we are about to witness.
Sandra Author's Response: Bless you. I have to say, there will have to be some angst in this story, otherwise it would be boring! But I am a sucker for a happy ending, so it will all be roses in the end!
I have deliberately avoided doing anything from Edward's POV - this will all be just Bella. I like the fact that we don't know what he is thinking, but can only guess from the clues, although of course, as the author, I know EXACTLY what he is thinking and doing. :) Sometimes I feel like writing a chapter or too, for my own amusement, but I will resist!!!!
And would you ever bet against Alice?

Title: Chapter 6: Chapter 6
Oh Miss Looby Lu I thoroughly enjoyed this chapter! I hope you won't think less of me because I found the following, not only very true but extremely funny....
"... and everything I had been taught in the classes had left my head."
But when it is over and done the pain is forgotten as your heart fills with love and peace as you hold your little one in your arms for the first time. It is as if that which touches your very soul makes your heart sing.
The little one is here and I get the feeling she is a beautiful baby and thank you for chosing the name Carlie.
I loved your take on Alice's stance of paternity. So perfect. The way she presented the facts and the choice she gave Bella made me smile. And not in a mean way but in a no nonsense way. She sure is happy to accept her auntly duties. Of course you have piqued my curiosity in regards to the rest of the family. Esme, Carlisle. I don't know. I just hate the thought of keeping the little one's true paternity from them. On the other hand I understand Bella's desire to withhold the news from Edward. It's not because I agree with her but she made the decision based on what she thought was best. Besides I have always been a true believer in that no matter what happens in life it is as it is meant to be. I don't always like it and I don't always agree but everything is what it is. These are the things that life's lessons are all about. Okay. Time to come off the soap box, sit back and wait for what is to be in Bella's story.
Sandra Author's Response:
That was exactly my experience. When I had my son, I went straight into contractions every three minutes - forget backpain and mild discomfort! The worst thing was that the nurses didn't believe me and told me to go have a bath. I managed to calm down then, and do my breathing, but it was a scary experience. They wouldn't even call my husband, so I was all alone for the first four hours. How I would have loved an Alice!
You are very kind with me about Bella's decision too. Some of my reviewers are desperately unhappy that Edward has been kept in the dark! If I don't sort it out soon, they may resort to violence!!lol
Carlie is my nod to Breaking Dawn :)
So glad you are enjoying the story, and, as usual, a lovely review!

Title: Chapter 7: Chapter 7
Holy shit Looby! Here I was reading the latter part of this chapter rather quickly so I could offer my assistance to Alice to help her get Bella out from under the rock that she been vegetating under. Laughing I might add. When all of a sudden I find myself sitting so straight that I could balance the largest of tomes upon my head with no problem. My eyes are like the size of saucers and my mouth...well lets just say it is a damn good thing there are no flies flying around right now. On a lighter not I can not believe my good fortune in that I did not read this chapter when it originally updated so I have a whole other chapter to read. And that ain't gonna get done it I don't stop ramblin. Yeah, to say I am a bit excited is putting it mildly.

Title: Chapter 8: Chapter 8
OMG! How is Edward going to feel when he finds out he saved his daughter? My heart is very anxious, happy, but anxious.
And don't we all love Esme. She is so perfect. Oh man, how is going to take the news that Carlie is her granddaughter?
So many questions. But thank you so much for the quick update. We may need lots of answers but this chapter gave us enough information to tide us over.
Sandra Author's Response: You will have to wait for a couple of chapters before the big reveal, I'm afraid. I want to explore the reunion a bit, before upsetting the apple cart! Next update will be submitted tomorrow, after I get back from visiting my sister. :)
