Great job with this. I think you have handled everything in a very sensitive manner. Also, I like how you show how sick these sub human sex offenders are. I work with abused kids (and women who were as kids) and see these creeps all of the time.
You have done a very good job with this subject unlike some others who have no tact or respect for such a crime. For example, there is a story right now where B was raped as part of a frat initiation ( I will NEVER read this). Later, E and her meet and start a relationship. I was curious and read reviews - I was sickened by what I read. People talking about how anyone can make a "mistake". Like rape could be a mistake - give me a break. I don't know what sick fantasy world these people are living in. They have never held someone's hand while they are getting a rape exam. I didn't mean to go off on my soap box, but I wanted to know that as an advocate for abused women and children, you have done a great job with this story...especially with showing Bella's slow healing.

It's so strange reading a story that includes the town and drinking holes one knows! I am suprised you didn't add The Bear to the list . It is almost sureral since I can visually see the Crazy Horse and La Salle's - thinking of in my younger days when I went to those places!
You are doing a great job with this story and are handling the subject matter very well.
Defense attorney's are scum. They try to justify but they are scum.

Excellant as always. Love the part about Embry and his boyfriend. Reminds me when a co-worker was testifying and the defense attorney was trying to make it out like the co-worker was biased against an Indian tribe. Loved it when my co-worker got to inform him his wife was a member of the same tribe.

Working in a field with defense attorneys I can say they are scum. 99% of them will do anything to get their client off. I have seen it time after time - disgusting. They don't care about rape victims, hell they will try to get a child molestor set free to rape again. I would hate to be them on judgement day. Nothing like selling ones soul for the almighty dollar.
