To help out the new imprints, Emily Uley – newly wed First Imprint – is putting together a little guidebook. Written for introductory and reference purposes, Wolf Girls 101 is intended to provide insight, perspective and humor to the view a new imprint might have of her position and of her werewolf.
Excerpt from Chapter 1:
An imprint is the person upon whom the werewolf fixes, biologically. It is a mystical connection as well as a biological one, but we believe it is mostly for the purpose of procreation.
Yes, having children. Scary as it may be to even consider letting these guys with their games and strange sense of humor reproduce... It is the underlying purpose of the imprint.

I can't think about a wolf imprinting and not getting the girl. That would be so sad. Your Bella and Embry story cinched it for me. Still loving the book. Author's Response: Hi!
I know! There are fics out there where the wolf doesn't get his imprint, though. Or where they are separated for, like, years (Quil and Claire coming to mind) and I think that is awful, myself. (Heh, yeah I get all caught up in fictional, supernatural compelled relationships.)

Emily seems to be treading lightly on an imprints role and a young werewolf's lack of control. I love that Sam think's she is playing Word Challenge. I was so addicted months ago. Author's Response: Ah, caught up with you! :)
Yes, Emily at this chapter is treading lightly. Remember, she's writing for young women entering a really new way of life and handing off some heavy new ideas. She'll get more indepth further into the guidebook.
Heh, keeping this from Sam is kind of a thing for her... But you KNOW that can't last, right?

I referred to Wolf Girls 101 often in my Imprinting series, and it seemed only right to have Emily make a little guidebook after all those talks. Of course, SAM didn't necessarily think so...
