Title: Chapter 2: Chapter 2
WOW. That was one hot chapter. I am so glad I still have some more to read to find out whether they did get to finish what they started. Loved the first chapter too, btw. It really brought me into this Bella's head and what' she's dealing with.
Summary: A century later, Bella returns to say goodbye. Inspired by the song by Linkin Park of the same name. One-shot. PG for intensity.

Title: Chapter 1: Revelations
I checked this out from curiosity, read the first few lines, and couldn't stop reading. This was an amazing one shot. I had tears in my eyes when Bella went back to Forks to find her house gone and everything so different. I've read several fics where they go back years later and somehow everything is the same, and it never rang true. This did - there's a bittersweetness in being immortal and having to watch everything change and die. Jacob's story is heartwrenching too - that he never got over Bella. Not all stories have happy endings. Wonderful job. Write more fics soon. Author's Response: Thank you so much! The response to this fic has been so amazing! I'm really working hard on my new, long fic, but who knows how long it will be...But this fic has really encouraged me. I'm glad it was realistic--I wasn't going to try for flying cars and teleporting in the future, but I did want to express how much of a difference 100 years makes. And I've started reading some of your stuff. It's really, really good too! I'm loving Extraordinary and anyone who's reading my reviews should stop now and go read that fic!

Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1
I haven't read Ladders yet but after this rollicking slice of grandness it's going to to the top of my must read list. I loved this. Must have more soon. Thank you. :)
Summary: Edward finally gives in to his desire to "check up" on Bella after he left. He vowed only to watch her from a distance, but how can he resist the force of the love that brought him back in the first place? When Bella's life is in danger again, will Edward be able to save her one last time?
This is a story that's been bouncing around in my head so much it finally demanded to be written. Edward's POV.

Title: Chapter 1: Lure
How is it that this doesn't have any reviews here? *shrugs* Anyway, you've heard it before but I'll say it again. I love the way you wrote Charlie. I always got the impression that there was a lot going on underneath the surface and you portrayed it so well. His feelings about Bella really touched me, and his interaction with Carlisle proved that he is far more perceptive than anyone realizes. Author's Response: Baha...it's a pity review! I luvs Ava. I think it got no reviews here because I dun have a banner and cause it's not nc-17! That's ok. I like it and its creepiness. Thanks for pepping me up on this one! I hope everyone checks out the new Leah...because it are teh awesome!
Summary: "Doing what rich people do is easy."
Same old story, Twilight twist. St. Olaf's is a prestigious boarding school, dripping with money, sex, and social hierarchy. But there's really only one question you have to ask yourself: are you one of Them or one of The Elite?

Thanks to Patsy for the banner!

Title: Chapter 2: Darwinism
Amy (siDEADde) has been bitching at me for weeks because I hadn't read this story yet and she's never steered me wrong before so here I am.
Am absolutely loving this so far. All through the first chapter I'm thinking the narrator is Bella and bam! It's Alice. I LOVED it. Refreshing to have such a twist and a different POV. Your twist on all the different characters is so intriguing.
My favorite line: '...shaking like a whore in church...'

Damn, poor Alice. Her hair!!
i absolutely love that she's teamed up with hard ass Rosalie. And the introduction to Emmett was fantastic. I cannot wait to see where this goes from here.
Favorite Line: “Emmett McCarty takes art?”

Title: Chapter 4: Properties of a Square
Emmett, Jax, and Edward in one day...Alice has hit the trifecta! I am so sad that I have to leave off reading for the day. Or maybe for the hour. We'll see how much I can slack off. Thanks for writing this addictive and twisted little slice.
Favorite Line: I raised an eyebrow. “Wow, sounds like you should probably be waiting for Edward then, not me.”

Title: Chapter 6: Thunder
Holy cliffhanger, Batman! I'm cackling at the people who read this when just released and had to wait for the next chapter. :D That scene with Alice and Emmett was quite erotic too. And I can't wait to find out what crawled up Rosalie's ass...
Favorite Line: Like he was agony, if agony was heaven and triple fudge Sundays with extra whipped cream.

Title: Chapter 9: In the place where chaos reigns
Wow. Harsh lesson for Tanya. I wonder why Rosalie did what she did, or if there was even a reason at all.
Alice is right to worry that eventually all this could blow up on her. What a tangled web we weave...
Favorite Line: Forget Paradise Lost and the fall of man. I had my own impending downfall to worry about.

Title: Chapter 10: Chess Master
Damn. I was wondering if Bella would ever make an appearance. That little bit was hot...in a disturbing kind of way. Not disturbing because it was g/g (that was enjoyable), but because of the dynamics involved. Rosalie never seems to be screwing anyone unless she's...well...screwing them. The girl has got huge issues and I really want to know why.
Favorite Lines: That needy, fingernails digging into my palms, hips arching off the bed, gotta-have-it feeling that you get about exactly two events in life: sex and craving cake dough ice cream from Coldstone Creamery. When you get the feeling, you lose every inhibition and social sense of correctness in a way that liquor or drugs never would be able to achieve. Ice cream and sex. Catalysts for anarchy.

Title: Chapter 13: Wicked Game
DAMN.
Rosalie and Carlisle?????? I sure as hell didn't see that one coming. So her obsession with him explains her attacks on Tanya and Royce. Wow. Rosalie is in such a bad place. I hurt for her and at the same time I want to smack her. Alice was right on. Of course Alice has hopped a fast train to Seriously Screwedville herself...
And both a Jewel and Chris Isaak quote in one chapter. Ah, the 90's...

Title: Chapter 14: A Series of Revolving Doors
I love the realism in this...Alice lost her virginity and it wasn't stars and rainbows and eye balling rolling orgasms. It makes for engrossing characters and twists.
And Emmett/Rosalie at the end. DAMN. That girl is so self-destructive. I hate to think about what she's going to do next.

Title: Chapter 15: Interlude: The Eighth Day
You've got to be kidding me. Not advancing the plot, my ass. First, Alice's new status in the school - and her new attitude. Especially with the comment to Rosalie...Hoochies R Us. COLD. Girl's getting sucked in deep. I'm scared for her.
Then there's Rosalie. Gah, I hurt for her. I'm dying to know what the Dean could have possibly said to her to make her cry, unless she was being manipulative to get out of more trouble.
What was huge to me in this chapter though, is going to end up being my favorite line(s) .
"I wanted you!" I yelled and then winced. Softer I hissed. "I wanted you. Stupid coin flip or not, I was waiting for you to make a fucking move. And you didn't. You didn't even want to be around me, you still don't. The one time I need a friend, you are the only person I could think of in this whole goddamn state. You didn't want me. Edward does. It's that simple."
I was torn between that and the LOLtastic 'Raiders of the Lost Arc' line at the end, but the Alice/Emmett convo just has me. Finally, Alice gets REAL.

Title: Chapter 16: Sleep Now in the Fire
Bloody fucking hell, who was it? WHO? Are you trying to KILL me?!
:D
I suppose I can be patient and wait for the next chapter but I'm dying here. And...Connor?
Speaking of which, the Rosalie sympathetic in me wants to kick Carlisle repeatedly in the head. As a teacher, he's in a position of trust and he's violating it hugely. And since Rosalie is not the only one, his model of restraint/reluctant seducee act is clearly just that, an act.
And Rosalie...the way you write her had both my heart and my jaw clenched all the way through it. It's true; she has everything, a life full of potential, and the fact that she's self destructing is her own fault (well, and Carlisle's a bit, but seems she was messed up long before she met him). At the same time, she's painted with such realism that one cannot help but feel for her, root for her, and hurt for her. I hope she and Alice reconnect. I hope she realizes how strong she can really be. And I hope Lecherous Teacher Man goes flying after she kicks him to the curb with his forced resignation letter shoved firmly up his ass.
Oh...small correction. You wrote 'threw the crowd.' It's 'through the crowd.'
Favorite Lines:
The rest of the student body was strictly pedestrian.
Pun intended.
***
Shit, I was shaking.
It was like being in withdrawal, except for the opposite.
This was addiction. I needed it. And I had it.
And now I faced the risk of losing it.
Author's Response: Ah....I hate to break this to you...but the next chapter doesn't exactly mention who it is.... *ducks flying objects*
And I might as well be blunt. The chapter after that??? Yeah, not so much either. Sorry :)
I'm so touched that my Rosalie gives you such dual reactions. She gives me a lot of headaches and I was nervous because this chapter was all over the place, but Rose is all over the place as a place. I'm glad you could keep up with her massive mood/topic changes.
Thanks for the awesome review, as always.
And thanks for the grammar fix. My brain does short-circuit sometimes.

Title: Chapter 17: A Bit of Impropriety
*sigh* I suppose I can be patient for another chapter or two and wait to find out who Carlisle's mystery boink is. I'm not very good at this whole being patient thing but I'll try. *ultra heavy sigh* :D
This chapter was a very entertaining read and coming so quickly after the last is much appreciated. I definitely enjoyed the steamy Edward/Alice scenes and I love the realism, with his premature ejaculation scenario (well I guess it wasn't that premature) instead of the fantasy 'guy lasts forever, orgasms always in tendem' scenario that's so popular in written fiction, fan or otherwise.
One thing that struck me though, and made me wonder if I'm over-reading into it, was there seemed to a running theme of loneliness, first Rosalie, and now Alice. I mean, again, the sex was hot but it seemed...empty. Alice seems empty. Trying to keep up with the blue blooded deviants is draining the life out of her. I miss her with Rose. I miss her having a real connection with someone. I'm so curious, and very worried, to see what will happen next, how low she's going to go before she hits rock bottom.
And the scene with Jackson, gah, I love stories that make me want to jump into them and beat the shit out of someone. So it should come as no surprise that my favorite line is:
So I punched him in the balls instead.
P.S. Regarding Connor...I actually love that name. I was surprised that it was Carlisle's first name...we always expect hm to be Carlisle Cullen, but you're right, it's a sexy Irish name. :D

Title: Chapter 18: Fallout
Wow. The twists this story takes is unbelievable. As always, I'm riveted by Rosalie.
That had always been the appeal of Rosalie Hale, though. Perfect or not, scandalous or not, beautiful or not, we couldn't look away from her.
Even in her despair, even in her blankness, she was captivating.
AMEN. She is. I've been enthralled by your Rose since she first appeared in this story.
And Edward...is in love with her? o.O You know, usually I can predict the plot twists in a story but I have NO freaking clue how this is going to play out. And I generally expect a HEA somewhere down the line but I think to expect one for The Elite might be a bit premature. Will wait and see how this plays out.
I have so much more to say too, about Emmett, Alice, Carlisle...but the death flu I've been infected with is keeping me from being anything close to eloquent so I'm going to review again at FFN when I can actually put together a decent sentence. I just wanted to give you at least a semi-shitty review in case I die before I can manage a better one. :p
Author's Response: You know, I get a lot of comments about how screwed up, how mean, how bitchy, how pathetic Rosalie is, so I'm so happy some people are liking the way I've chosen to portray her. It makes it easier to write, knowing she has some suppport in her corner.
I wish I could give hints about the Edward/Rosalie/Carlisle/Esme issue, but I simply cannot!!!! I'm so sorry (and so bursting to tell!)
And HEA??? What are those? No, kidding! It may not be white steeds and babies by the age of eighteen, but I don't think the ending is tragic by any means. After all, high schools generally rebound fairly well...at least, for the ending that's in place at the moment.
These things do tend to change :)
And I'm so sorry you're sick! *sends you mental doses of NyQuil, noodle soup, and tissues with lotion cuz no one likes a rudolph nose!!!! A bunch of my students seem to have that exact same thing, so I've been obsessively washing my hands and febreezing everything and everyone. Feel better quickly!
And thanks for reviewing, even though you feel icky.

Title: Chapter 25: Borderline
I am horribly, wretchedly behind on sitting down with this story and I HATE that because reading this chapter reminded me exactly of how much I love it. I frankly am bewildered as to why it is not one of those stories with a gazillion reviews per chapter because it certainly deserves to be.
So I was bad, because I have little to no self control, and I jumped right to this chapter without going back to re-read the chapters I've only had time to skim. I will definitely rectify that mistake in the next few days, but I could not let this chapter go without commenting.
First of all...Alice and Emmett. How much do I love them together? THIS MUCH! (oh wait...you can't see that). Well...it's a lot, trust me. The whole encounter with the two of them was funny, hot and touching at the same time. I never, ever really even considered the two of them as a couple before and you have sold me completely.
And Rosalie...gah, dammit Rosalie. I hate your Rose and I love her at the same time. I feel for her and I want to smack the shit out of her. I guess I'm living in Alice's world at that. But why, oh why, must she repeatedly fuck her life up? And now it's spilling over to ALICE.
OMFG, Alice. I am at a loss for words to explain my reaction when she showed up at Jax's door. Therefore, I did what I almost always do in times of crisis and turned to youtube for a visual aid to help me express how I'm feeling: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfIlAJ6flvw&feature=related
Favorite Lines: Dammit, for some reason Firefox is being 'tarded and not letting me cut and paste. There were several but my big, big fave of the chapter was Emmett and his 'twatfuckery' analysis of Rosalie. PREACH IT.
Author's Response: Avalonia--
You can be behind as you want if you keep leaving these fanTAStic reviews in my box. Damn girl. You make me all giggly and shit.
Your thoughts on Rose made me laugh really really hard. Like milk coming out of my nose hard.
The YOUTUBE! I favorited that because somedays I feel EXACTLY like that. I think Frodo and Patrick Stewart are my favorites...well, that and Homer :)
ENjoy the coming chapters and thank you for being so awesome and reading my story.

Title: Chapter 26: A Good Man is Hard to Find
I wish I could give animated reviews. If I could, this one would be a cartoon caricature (sp) of me all red faced and bawling my eyes out. Aliiiiiiice......I love you but you ARE a fucking MORON. I know you're just a youngun but damn. Way to screw it all up.
Now I want to go on and on but I have to rush through this and read the next chapter before my timed write partner realizes I am totally bailing on her. It's not Amy (siDEADde) unfortunately because all I would have to do is say "Its The Elite!" and she'd be all "I totally understand!" This chick, although dearly beloved, is not a Twi Fic reader, would definitely NOT understand, and therefore I must lie and say I have a pie in the oven or my son broke his leg or something.
Gawd. I wish I had a review monitor or something who could pre-read these and tell me when to STFU.
Moving on!
Favorite Lines: And even though I didn't want there to be, even though I didn't deserve it, there were arms around me that were comforting and forgiving and kind. And baby that I was, I gladly collapsed into them and sobbed my pathetic little feelings out, though I deserved to have no release.

Title: Chapter 27: Forks
GAH!!! You are lucky I can type after experiencing such extreme heartfail that entire chapter. First of all, the Alice and Rosalie camraderie was so fantastic. Finally, both of them relating to each other on the same level without subterfuge or bullshit. Finally just being friends. I have been waiting a long, long time for that.
And then Rosalie and Edward. Oh, he called her out and finally, FINALLY she listens and comprehends. It's about fucking time. I was so afraid she was too far gone to ever seen what she was losing out on.
And Carlisle at the end...I am way grateful for the fire alarm. The last thing she needed was to fall into that mess again.
So I am DYING to read the rest but my timed write partner is pissed and I am pretty certain she does not believe I am AFK because I am chasing the dingo who took my baby.
I will return!
Thank you again for such an incredibly worthy way to waste my time.

Title: Chapter 28: i sing of olaf...
OK, so my writing partner got tired of waiting and bailed on ME. Damn karma. Although I am not feeling its effects too badly since I get to finish this!
I was in such a hurry that I forgot to tell you tears of joy sprang into my eyes at the mental image of Emmett hurtling Jax over a table. *sniff* If this were a movie I would be pausing and rewinding that scene over and over.
And as for Jax in this chapter, NO HE DIDN'T!! I do not care about his pleading brown eyes or his embarrassment. I hope he gets the plague. TEAM EMMETT!!!
Love the faint aroma of "Breakfast Club" surrounding their ISS. Edward showing up in the principal's office. Emmett getting pissed on Alice's behalf. THE LOOK. *heartfail again* The continued Chicks Before Dicks vibe between Alice and Rose.
Really dying to find out who this mystery leak is.
Although, Rose was kinda right about the whole karma bit. Forgot to quote that whole bit in favorite lines, btw, but I completely loved it.
Favorite Lines: The clever bastard. That wonderful, clever bastard. (my thoughts exactly!)

Title: Chapter 29: Redemption
*am rendered speechless*
All I can say is I am floating away on a fluffy white cloud of happiness.
Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you for the conversation between Emmett and Alice.
Even if it's all blown to hell in the next chapter, it was PERFECT. ABsolutely perfect.
Favorite Line:
And then he was kissing me, and Mr. Dubois was shouting about ‘what in the hell' and my stomach clenched so hard it knocked out my hearing, cleared the air right out of my lungs, and knocked every lucid thought right from my brain in the way that only two things can: one of them is love.
And I believe I have just experienced the other.
Redemption.
