Bella wakes as a newborn vampire with no memories of her past. She knows not who she is, where she is or who the people she just killed are. Lost, alone and disgusted with herself she runs until she finds herself in a weakened state and unable to move. 

She is lost but may find her place sooner then she thinks. 

One of the key events that creates the epic nature of the Edward/Bella love story is the moment that Bella’s scent first hits Edward, and Edward somehow resists.

But what if Edward’s self control had kicked in just a moment too late? What if his proximity to Bella once his conscience reawakened was just too much, and he couldn’t restrain himself. What if he bit her, and Bella had a new life forced on her, before she had any desire to live for an eternity?

Before she had experienced Forks High School, made friends, and re-connected with Jacob. Before she knew what Edward was. And most importantly, before they fell in love.

This is the story of the seemingly insignificant moment that changed everything…

After Jasper’s attack on Bella during her birthday party, he leaves the Cullens and sets out to find a way to get his bloodlust problem under control.  Meanwhile, the Cullens leave Forks. Bella is alone and vulnerable.  When Victoria comes for her, Jasper is the only one she can reach for help.  

For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.  Jasper and Bella find that there are consequences, even for acts of redemption.
