lol! Great chapter! Epic! I wonder how Charlie is gonna cope as a newborn. We all know Bella has incredible self control..but what about Charlie!

This is an alternative plot to when Bella is on the cliff, picking up from the top of page 358 of New Moon. Bella does not rush back into Edward's arms. Bella struggles a great deal with depression, anxiety, and esteem. Several characters may be slightly OOC in that they use occasional profanity.

What if Bella broke down on the cliff and truly tried to kill herself? What if Edward got the news in a different way and hadn't gone to Volterra? Where would it leave Edward and Bella? Where would it leave Bella and Jacob? This story will be an angst filled alternative, but I do believe in happyish endings.

This story has a backdrop of WWII and the Holocaust. It is a love story between a German soldier and a Jewish prisoner of war. I am Jewish so this setting is something that is a part of my family's history. I would never disrespect the Jewish culture and history nor my family's history.
There's no rape, coercion, etc, of any kind in this story. There is a scene with dominance, but not rape. Rape is a serious crime that should never, ever be confused with dominance. Never at any point in this story, does Edward use his position to force Bella to have sex with him. Bella gives her consent freely and truly wants to love Edward and have him love her in return. Again, it is a love story.

Title: Chapter 1: Ashes in the Sky
Okay I, like many others, read about the controversy with this story. I don't see anything that even hints at rape. What the heck is wrong with those guys? I think they just wanted to stir up controversy.
Now on your story: I absolutely love it! It's a beautiful story mixed with so much pain. I think you did a wonderful job encorporating life in concentration camps into this story. I got clear visuals of everything.
I hope that those people leave you alone and let you continue writing. Dude, if something says NC-17...what do you think is gonna be in it?

THIS STORY HAS BEEN PUT ON HIATUS. At least until september-october 2010. I am getting married in august and it's hard to plan a wedding and write at the same time. I applaud those who can do that. I am NOT giving up on this story and I WILL finish it. Eventually. Thanks for understanding.
After Edward left in New Moon, Bella changed. She changed everything about herself in hopes of forgetting him. She graduated and moved down to California. The one place she knew she would never see the Cullens. 4 years later, she is now known as Elle Swan, a successful interior designer. What happens when she is sent somewhere else for her job?

Ahh... so good!! A perfect mix with fluff and reality, you're soo good at writing that I gets envious *envious sigh*.
Have I told you how good this story and idea really is. There are many different stories where Bella changes her personality drastically after Edward left. And of all those stories I have been reading I think you are the one that has captured Bella's personalty best. Many of the stories have changed Bella that much that if she wasn't namned Bella you shouldn't know it was her, but you, even if you see the big changes, you can find the Bella how she was shy, sweet and madly in love with Edward four years ago. With another words - I think you are the one that have captured Bellas character best.

Grrrr, you know, I almost hate her more than Tanya.
Great writing! I love the story! Author's Response: LOL, I wonder why people hate Tanya. She never actually DID anything (in canon) but lust after Eddie. And she has a lot of company!
Rose on the other hand... is about to get her head handed to her.
Summary: 
In her incoherent state after Edward leaves her in the forest, Bella's sleeping lips betray her: "Edward is a vampire and I will be one too." Although the story opens in a mental hospital, it quickly leaves after the first chapter and never looks back... AU/Dark: This is not your typical AU-New-Moon story line. The first few chapters are somewhat normal, but the story then takes a quick and hard turn into a very AU.

haha! I knew he had some bada$$ in him somewhere! Author's Response: Thanks! My Carlisle has all the same compassion, but also equal amounts of fierce protectiveness over his family. And, truth be told, I think Carlisle's character is too flat most of the time - I agree with you that he has some serious badass in him. :)
