"Open Up Next to You" by LJ Summers. The author's reputation alone is enough of a reason to read it, but it also happens to be a wonderful story. I think my favorite quote ever from a fanfic piece is in this one. Complete.
"Trip of a Lifetime" by samekraemer. The stars at night... are big and bright... *clap clap clap clap* deep in the heart of Texas! AU-Human, canon couples, plot twists to rival "Dallas," and lemony goodness. Complete.
"The Difference Between Love and Obligation" by GreatEscape. AU-Human, mostly (and eventually) canon couples. Emotionally charged and realistic. You must read this one if you're an AU-Human fan. Complete.
"Cauchemar Vivant" by Lunar Siren. AU. A very intricate vamp-involved storyline that's not for the faint of heart. Badassery abounds. Hope it comes back from hiatus.
"Mary Alice, Full of Grace" by MissManda. Pre-Twilight AU. Love, love, love. Be forewarned that there is violence within, for those who are sensitive to such. In progress.
"A Different Kind of Love" by LauraEmily18. Sequel to New Moon AU "Broken Spirit." Some things will probably make a bit more sense of you read the prequel first, but even if you take this story on its own, you'll enjoy vampire Bella and Edward as they foster children in England. In progress.
"Roses in Winter" by WhisperingWolf. The journey taken by Angela from Weber to Cullen. You'll be angered, heartbroken, and filled with joy alternately. In progress.

Title: Chapter 3: Dreaming of the One
You. Are. Killing. Me. See the "Screaming" before the "Mimi" up there? Mimi is screaming. Mentally. At this story. Positively yowling, I tell you.
I get it that Edward means well, really I do. I get that he feels responsible for her. I get that he wants her to be happy, and I get that he thinks she'll only be happy if she's mated to one vampire. I'm not opposed to someone else being Bella's true mate, either. I get all that. I promise.
It is just so damned frustrating that Edward's actions still have some semblance of control over her life when he does not have that right. It was grossly inappropriate for him to manipulate the situation to alleviate his guilt and make Bronwyn feel better.
I love it, LJ, and I'm so glad you've written a sequel to the first, but honey, I feel the need in our writer-reader relationship to admit to you that as much as I enjoy this story, it also pisses me off!!!

So Rose is Rose, but not. Hm. And how ugly that only Bella and Jake have kids, but not therest. Something is definitely rotten in Denmark... not that I'm surprised, with THEM hovering in the distance. Author's Response: There is going to soooo much more you're going to learn about... lots. Very good chapter, nice interaction, but truthfully, I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this development. I see Rose's point, and Bella's revelations, but doesn't she deserve to be upset and hurt and mistrustful after he tried to leave her by lying to her so dreadfully? And does Rose not know what Edward said to Bella to cause her to break up to protect herself?
I'll keep reading... I'm very interested to see where you go.

You are absolutely right on both points! One of the things that made writing this chapter so fun and challenging was walking that line between "the truth" and "the truth according to Rosalie." She made some valid points that Bella needed to consider, but the bottom line is that Bella has the right to her feelings and reactions. I assume that Rosalie knows what Edward said toward the end of that conversation in the forest because Esme knows, but her bias wouldn't allow her to consider that little detail.
I really do hope you keep reading because ****MINI SPOILER ALERT**** I think you'll be pleased by what happens the next time Bella sees Edward, which is coming up very soon.
