As I read this story, I get the feeling that although Bella 'loves' Jacob, it really isn't a romantic type of love.  She craves to feel something...after being stripped of emotions when Edward left.  It's not a physical necessity, but one that can be endured, as the meat is being sliced.

Bellas imagination or unconsciousness is still berating her on what she feels for Edward and Jacob.  Therefore, her torment is still unresolved.

Why did it take more than one wolf to kill the vampire?  Was Velay that strong or were the wolves not quite full grown?..or maybe lacking is some fighting strategy?

Jake refused Alexs imprinting?  I thought only the recipient could refuse, but hey, it's your world.  With any luck, Jake will reconsider having Alex, but like Bella, be forever sorry he's not with Bella.  Big strained emotions!  I'm sure you'll get to the part where you explain Bella 'leaving the tribe'.

So, if Edward came back because Bella was seen in danger, that should be enough proof for him to stay and continue to protect her.  I know he doesn't see it, but everyone else does.

Jake forced her to make her own choice between him and Edward, knowing she had a hard time letting go.  He tricked her into kissing him and admit she wanted him, knowing she still had feelings for him, guilty ones, but feelings no less.  He was playing her hard.  Bella just seemed to realize that this was her good-bye, that someone else, not her would be with Jake.  He read it as her longing and stung her with the barb, ""Going to hurry back to him now?" Jacob's voice was bitter, the smile I loved was more of a sneer."  I couldn't imagine more of a snake than that.  Why did Jake run back into his home, before coming out to speak to Bella?  I think he had Alex in there and saw his chance to have some fun with Bella.  *cad*

Edwards clear understanding of Bellas emotions and her turmoil could be the only one to make her at least feel somewhat normal, and that things were going to be o.k.  Is Rosalie just being herself?

Now, Bella will have to go to Jake, and make him see that his promise request will make her unhappy, with him or without him.  Bella should influence Jake to see Alex as his only one.  With any luck, her love of Jacob will wane, then she can change her promise.    ...or something along those lines???....  Jakes con job, strikes at her again.

Of course, the Treaty.  That only referred to the Cullens, not the Denali clan, and only for the Cullens not to return.

Anyways.....Glad that everyone is happy Bella's back.  Just waiting for Jakes reaction - he did say forever.  Hopefully, Bella will be able to take back her promise or at least change the terms, so Edward can come back.  He must be so moody by this time.

Jake will have to come clean on his actions too.

Jake's impulses were still vibrant and excited, but now, his mind has grasped the thought of 'friends'.  With any luck, he'll start to see more of Alex, or maybe someone else.

Bellas talk with Alice seemed bitter sweet.  She would have crumbled if Edward would have answered.  I'm guessing that's why Alice answered.  At least things are looking up and a bit better.

When do the dreams start again?

Hmmm, more distance....and what about Lucas???  You didn't mention his eyes...just this mysteriousness of him.  Is he bad, good, or other????

Why was I waiting for something else to happen?  Yea, yea, I read too much E/B stuff, but besides that....there's a little niggling, nagging feeling, floating around, just stirring up things just enough to matter.

I noticed you skipped over entirely the 'sex scene'.  Whether you don't feel comfortable with it or not sure of how to write it - it's o.k. with me.  I do feel that you've got Jake down to a fine art, and it would have been enjoyable.

Whew, 90 minutes.  That new house with the big shower better have a huge water heater to go with it!

So dramatic....all that tension in the alley with that big thug of a drunk....It would be just like him to tease like that, knowing he wouldn't have too  much resistance to deal with.

...and that special way Jasper ensured that Bella was o.k. from being knocked down...Dave's a goof!

Will there be a JPOV to explain how and why he got to Bella after the raid?  The area seemed away from the high end restaurants and shows and at least 3 blocks from the parking garage.  Just to add to the story...I realize he just might have been walking towards his car by that time...Where did Dave go?  Didn't they come together??or did I miss something????

Still love Bella's thoughts, she seems so real and yes, concerned over her new guardian angel.  Hopefully, you'll put in a great chapter about his motivation to save her and why.  Can't wait to read about Dr. Delicious!  LOL  Btw, what does Jasper do, besides saving homeless waifs?
