Summary: 
Bella went cliff diving, but it didn't turn out so well. She broke her back. A decade later, Edward reappears in her life on the same night she loses her best friend and husband to a freak accident. Now a graduate student in Women's Studies, Bella isn't thrilled to see him. But when the Cullens re-enter Bella's life, they bring change, hope, and a new joint project that will require all their expertises.

Special Update:
For personal reasons (a ridiculously full teaching schedule and being recently put in charge of a bi-annual local conference and ongoing project), I am no longer able to reply to reviews and questions. But that said, I wanted to give a BIG THANK YOU to EVERYBODY for the wonderful feedback and kind words that have been sent my way since the completion of this story in August 2009. I do still check my messages about once every 1-2 weeks and read *every* review. I just have too many to reply to anymore, but I didn’t want anyone to think I was ignoring her/him in particular, or didn’t appreciate readers taking time to leave a review. Writing this story was tons of fun and I’m thrilled readers seem to enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed the chance to write it. I can’t tell you how flattering that is!!! As I used to reply to all reviews, I feel a little badly about this decision, but work has been requiring virtually all of my time since the new (academic) year began.

I kept putting off reading this story because of its length when I first added it as a favorite, but decided to start reading when I saw that it was finished. That being said, I really love the take you have on the Cullens. It's "real." I look forward to seeing how all of this plays out. Great job!!! Author's Response: Thank you! This chapter really touched me and brought tears to my eyes. I love that their relationship has evolved into something more mature and lasting.

Author's Response: hey thanks for reading and for reviewing. i hope you're enjoying it so far. i just completed this story last night so you have a little catching up to do. and yeah, i wasn't sure if i didn't drag the friendship thing out long enough, but i didn't want to make it so long that readers are like, "get together all ready" and start losing interest. but then i didn't want to make it too quick either. i think i erred on the side of quicker, but that's just me being selfish and wanting them to finally get together. anyhoo, thanks again for reading!

Summary: 
A Breaking Dawn alternative story. Edward and Bella marry and go on a very romantic honeymoon. Complications interrupt and they return to Forks. Decisions must be made and the family has to move quickly. This story is an A/U from BD. There is no pregnancy and no more love triangle. It is about how Edward and Bella were meant to be together and then must stand together against all odds.
Canon Pairings. Lots of romantic lemons. AU because some story lines from Breaking Dawn were completely abandoned in place of ones that I like better! Rated NC-17 for the lemons and for possible future violence and occasional language when the characters get really stressed out and stuff!
