I won't say how old I am - just to say I feel young at heart! After reading Twilight for the first time, I couldn't put it down - in fact I have read the books countless times! I think it took me back to that breathy, shaky torment of first love which we know can't last, but will always remember. I fell madly in love with Edward, and have never looked back!
I have a 21 year old son away at university and a lovely husband who tolerates my obsession with good grace - in fact he bought me my beautiful Twilight journals and a calendar last Christmas. He just wishes I could get paid for writing!
I have never thought about writing fanfic until reading "Dark Side of the Moon" by Blondie and coming across this site. I decided to have a go, and "Eclipse Missing Moments" is my first attempt.
I wasn't sure if I could write any original stories, but eventually had a go with Picking Up The Pieces. It almost didn't see the light of day when it was rejected, as I didn't see the tiny mark against grammer, and thought it was wholly unsuitable. Thankfully I went back and re-read the email, made some corrections and resubmitted it. It is to date the most successful story (as far as reviews are concerned) that I have done.

Summary:
 "He's gone." It is something of a mantra for me. Edward left me in the woods years ago. It is hard to recall how many months I spent in a walking coma but one day I awoke from it determined to live all on my own and vowed never again to let thoughts of Edward and his wayward family wound my heart again. It seemed to work for a while. By sheer determination I willed them out of my heart and mind, until my final year of college. A gift from a friend changed everything. A simple CD downloaded from a webpage and burned onto a generic looking Disc held them, melodies of a wounded heart. From the piano Alice tiptoed and twirled across my mind brandishing her contagious joy like a sword into my heart. Other songs, seemingly musical representations of a family that was almost mine, tore into my mind and heart haunting me. It became an addiction for me. I listened every night. I listened on the long drive to California to my new job, convinced it would somehow end the pain with over exposure to emotions long since buried. Until one night my window was left open and dreams crept in and I cast the music away. But I was too late. Somehow it had called them to me. But my wounds were healed and my life in a new place had no room for them in the sunshine. The Cullens, however, each had something to say about my new life.

Title: Chapter 8: Chapter 8 Jasper's Heart
I am really enjoying this story. It reminds me a bit of Scrooge's encounter with the three ghosts - all the stuff that had to be sorted out before he realised what Christmas was!
As much as I am desperate for Edward and Bella to be reunited, this is a great way of healing all the members of the family, as well as allowing Bella to get rid of her own ghosts.
I really look forward to reading the next installment! Author's Response: I totally love Dickens. And that story is one of my favs. I figured she needed to get all the bagage out of the way cause once she was in the same room as Edward while she was awake the story will run with that and there would be no room for all the other things that needed to be said. Thank you for your review.

Title: Chapter 1: Bring It
This has great potential to be expanded. I have never thought of the seperation in these terms before. What is worse? The never knowing or the always knowing about the other person. As a divorcee with a son, I could never rid myself of his father. It has been really hard living the past 17 years alongside a man who didn't love me enough to want to save our marriage. It would have been so much easier to have never seen him again.
I thnk the only saving grace about New Moon was the fact that Edward was always going to come back.
Summary: Bella and her roommates, Alice and Rosalie, are young women in their twenties trying to establish themselves in the city of Chicago and figure out who they are, and what they want in life. Little do they know, that the people they meet will change their lives along the way.

I hate starting stories that are nowhere near finished. So many of them fizzle out, but it's been a slow Twilight week and yours looked so interesting that I have succumbed.
I really like this premise. I think by the tone of the narrative that we will see a return of the Cullens and the delicious Edward. I am a little concerned about her trip to Italy. I really hope she doesn't fall victim to Aro's charms. You haven't said anything about her gift, so I'm hoping her shield will still work against them all.
I really hope that I see an update for this soon!
