I'm 35, married with a 3 year old little boy that I adore. If you read A Stitch in Time Jacob is based on my little guy and there is a picture of him on the banner for the story.
When I'm not writing fanfic, I am trying to write my first novel. It's fantasy fiction with a heroine who is half elf/half human and is thrust into a political war for power. I'm only about 85 pages into it and it's not anywhere near finished yet, but I it feels good to get it on paper.
I also work full time at a university in the research office. I am the only one at the university that can do my job and sometimes it wears me out - hard to take a vacation, let me tell you. But it's rewarding for the most part and I get to take classes cheap!

Angsty. Wonderful.
Summary:  AU-Human. Manwhore Edward bets Emmett that he can remain abstinent for 40 days and nights - or lose his beloved Volvo. He's convinced it'll be a piece of cake. Of course, that was before sex kitten Bella moved to Forks, and set her sights solely on the delectable Edward Cullen. NC-17 for extreme profanity, and ridiculously smutty sexy time.

I just figure that if people want an extra, then they have to do something extra for it! lol. Title: Chapter 21: Matters
I am completely in love with this story! I found it yesterday afternoon (having avoided it b/c I am more of a Bella/Jasper girl) and started reading it at home on my Blackberry. I read until I couldn't keep my eyes open any more and my husband was grumbling about 'that damned phone'. Then I got to work at around 7:30 this morning with the intention of reading until everybody else got here. I have been unable to stop! (Shh...don't tell my boss!)
You are absolutely awesome! I am not a fan of poetry, but you have inspired me. I've been having serious writer's block on both my Twilight fic and my novel and I think some short poems might be just the thing I need. You've given me hope!
And, to answer your question, lately it's been Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down that I've been singing while I load the dishwasher.

Ok, enough complaining. I heart this story. It's one of those that makes me giddy when I see an update notification and I have to drop what I'm doing and read. I typically read on my BlackBerry, which for some reason won't let me review, but I had to tell you that I love this and can't wait to see what happens...especially now that Alice is being cryptic about the future and hinting at her and J getting back together. Great start! I'm just finding this, but I'm intrigued by the concept. As for your question about the most unlikely person to attempt to friend me on facebook - the girl that made my high school life living hell. She was three years older than me and hated me with a passion from the time I could walk (we went to church together). She tried to get me in trouble with my parents every chance she could. About six months ago I got a friend request from her. Needless to say, I pulled a Bella and hit the 'ignore' button.
Summary: *Entry for Ninapolitan's D.I.L.F. Contest* Alice and Bella are best friends. Jasper is Alice's hot dad, who Bella has been lusting over since high school. Now that Bella is all grown up and newly divorced, Alice decides it time for a little experiment. J/B pairing. AU/AH. Lemon.
