Author's Response: Ok, so, here's my drawing of what the outside of their buildings looks like: http://i39.tinypic.com/2588dbl.jpg If you are on the street facing the two buildings, you see the storefronts. In between the buildings, there is a set of steps leading up to a landing that connects the two buildings. On each side of the landing is a door that leads into each apartment above each store. (Make sense?) Each store also has an inside stairway from the store up to the apartment, so they can use either door to go downstairs (either indoors or outdoors). Let me know if you're still confused. LOL I see it so clearly in my head! We were reflecting on funny it was that the Edward getting shot chapter was not as popular as the Jasper/coffee moment. I thought that was interesting because the coffee scene was really a intermediate, run-of-the-mill, life scene--a transition of them being together without it being about the case, and it's amazing how everyone gravitated to it. It proved to me that the little moments are really the most memorable. Thank you so much for checking out Bureau. When one doesn't sleep, you had a lot of time to devote to these kinds of thoughts. "---> That is true, and fantasies can be pretty awesome! But Edward had the added luxury/burden of hearing others thoughts about lovemaking, (Can anyone say Emmett??) Add to that the time he had to contemplate things, and he had to know what he was doing! Keep on writing! There are so many places in the books that you can fit in a lemon for our entertainment! Author's Response: Edward, whether he's wanted to or not, has been exposed to people's and vampire's thoughts for over a century. Despite being a gentleman, I would think that he'd naturally be curious, and pay attention to some of what he sees. I don't buy that theory that Vampward would be clueless in bed...he's had way too much second-hand experience for that, haha. I'm sure he'd know what to do, but the actually doing it part is where it has the potential to be awkward! I'm so glad you enjoyed the chapter! I'll leave it at the characters wouldn't talk to me for quite some time and I wasn't comfortable publishing something that was only so-so. I hope that this chapter helped to tie up the loose ends in this story as well as set the stage for the next chapter of Edward's life. I will be honest with all of you, that next chapter will likely be a while in coming. I want to finish up with everything I have on my plate now as well as get my original novel well underway before I start anything new. 7-14-10: Edward as human and after change.
