Bella Swan moves to Forks, Washington in middle school after the tragic death of her mother. Jasper Hale had recently lost his father and began to distance himself from his best friend, Edward Cullen. Bella and Jasper meet and bond over their loss and become best friends, leaving Edward in the dust. As junior year of high school begins, Edward hates Bella for corrupting his ex-best friend and for just being a bitch. Unfortunately, Edward's sister, Alice, decides that she wants to reach out to Bella and become her friend. Edward is dragged on for the ride and discovers more things about Bella Swan...and himself. Canon Couples eventually but a little non-canon in the beginning.
