Bella Swan attends group therapy to placate her worried father, remaining mute about the events that led to her suicide attempt.  Mesmerized by the sullen, silent stranger who enters five minutes late each session, she is shocked into action the day he finally speaks up, her pierced tongue forming words aloud for once...

Edward Cullen obliges his father and sees his colleague, Dr. Jones, for individual and group therapy after his near-demise - the physical one, that is.  For Edward knows that inside, he's already dead, destroyed by the painful memories he commemorates with tattoos like mile markers...

Two damaged souls who speak the same language come together by chance.  But can the damaged save each other in the wake of revelations to come?

This story's first chapter began as a finalist for the Tattward/Inkella one-shot contest, and is rated NC-17 for language, lemons and disturbing themes/imagery including suicide attempts, substance abuse, self-harm and scenes of violence.  It deals heavily with issues of mental illness and healing; please read with care.

It offers a different explanation for what was so special about Bella Swan, why Edward vigilantly enforced those physical boundaries, why there's tension between the Cullens and the wolves, and why Edward behaved the way he did not only with Bella but with his family. Expect romance, mystery, angst, and humor. Dark Edward.

It is also rated NC-17 due to excessive snarkiness by Edward, references to underage drinking, practical jokes and/or enthusiastic tormenting of secondary characters particularly Mike Newton, Jacob Black, and Charles Swan. Having stayed in Forks much longer than was wise or safe, the Cullens begin a new life in northern Vermont. Of course, wherever the Cullens go, so does Jacob and his pack. Life is peaceful in the wild, remote wilderness of the Green Mountains until a new family moves into a nearby abandoned estate, causing Alice to have visions of a new vampire coming to the area. This vampire has secrets of his own. And the new neighbors are much more than what they seem.

Jasper, Rosalie, Bella, Alice, Emmett & Edward become interwoven, making their mark at Seattle's Fremont Park Preparatory boarding school. Wealth and war, friendship and love ensue.

This story begins almost six years after Bella became a vampire. Renesmee is almost an adult and has begun to attend an all-girls private school while the rest of her family begins classes at the nearby public school. She is unaware of Jacob's past feelings for her mother. On the first day of class, Edward and Bella encounter an unusual individual who begins to suspect something is wrong with the mysterious Cullen family. The story has shifting point-of-view.

Edward is nearly broken when he loses a dear friend in an accident. When he meets Bella at Forks High, not only is his heart healed, but his soul as well. However, Bella has a secret that could make or break them. AU/AH Twilight with a few twists.
