Bella meets Edward while she is a pre-kindergartener, and Edward becomes her best friend.  When Bella’s life is in danger, Edward is forced to leave to prevent her death.  As Bella grows older, Edward is forgotten.

A new family moves to Forks at the start of Bella’s senior year and changes Bella’s life forever.  What the mind forgets, the heart will always remember.

The new treaty with the Quileutes forces Leia and Adam to make some tough decisions about their relationship. Meanwhile Edward and Bella begin their new life as husband and wife. When the honeymoon ends on a startling note, how will the Cullens deal with the unexpected situation? How will it affect the new, fragile peace with the Quileutes? And more importantly, what happens when the Volturi bring the entire guard to Forks to address a broken law? 

This story is the fourth in the Baby Sister Series, an AU parallel of the Twilight Series as seen from through the 'eyes' of Leia Cullen, the youngest member of the Cullen family. Mostly canon couples, but as it is Jacob/OC, there will be major differences in the dynamic of some relationships. And yes, Renesmee will be a part of this story.

Excerpt from Chapter 5: Hope Torn Away

"...You are aware, of course, that all your creations carry your scent?"

"I know. But I –"

"Of course, yours was not the only scent. Lemon and honey and lilacs and freesia. Quite a complicated mess you made of this one, Carlisle. Was she changed by committee?" 

It’s 1944 and a young American, Edward, awakes in a field hospital outside of London. He was injured two months earlier during Operation Cobra near Marigny, France. Upon regaining consciousness, he immediately begins to ask for his wife, Bella, who was working at The European Theater of Operations (ETOUSA) in London. Sadly his physician tells him that his wife was injured in an air raid and did not survive her injuries. Our young hero vows to find his wife refusing to even consider the very real possibility that she’s dead. This sets Edward on a journey over two continents, through the dangers of war and espionage to find the love of his life, forgiveness for his past, and a joy he never even knew existed.
