Most of the POVs are Jasper, Garrett and Kate, but as the tale progresses there are other POVs to include Maria, Edward, Bella, Rose, Alice, and Carlisle!

The tale is canon, using some of the very same dialogue Stephanie provided, but the alternate universe comes in ONLY when the tale veers off into a battle.

Alice is completely alone. She doesn’t know that there are other vampires out there, and so she doesn’t look. But what happens when she meets a group of vampires that really can’t be trusted? What about a human family that is far too fragile to form attachments with? She hadn’t anticipated in meeting any of them. So who would she choose? Who would she side with? And what will she do when she realises, what you can’t have, you can’t resist?

One shot.  Edward never came back in NM.  Bella has, against her deepest desires, continued to grow up and has found a way to move on with her life.  Now, five years later, she’s spending her summer traveling abroad with a college friend when she sees something familiar in a club.  Submitted for the Hot Summer Nights challenge at PTB.
