I am a certified Twilight addict... the first step is in admitting you have a problem.
My oldest son (who was 15 at the time) had been telling me that I absolutely had to read this story called "Twilight" - "You'll love it, Mom!" he told me constantly. September 2008 rolled around, and with it, Hurricane Ike plowed through our neighborhood. We were left without electricity for almost two weeks, so in the meantime we stayed with friends across town who were lucky to have theirs restored the day after the hurricane.
I went to the first Target I found open and bought "Twilight" in hardcover. I read it start-to-finish, from that afternoon to the next morning. As soon as the store opened that morning I bought "New Moon". So I finished the series during the week that we stayed with our friends. Personal hygiene and laundry, pshaw!
Fast forward six months to my discovery of Twilight fanfiction. I'm surrounded by piles of laundry, kids who when asked "Where's Mommy?" respond with "in the bathroom, reading..."
So now I try my own hand at writing fanfic. As my penname implies, I'm a reader, not a writer, so bear with me and I'll do my best to "Try Not to Suck So Bad!" (TNTSSB is our select baseball team's copyrighted rally cry...)
