wow that was a really good day for them all right up until the bike accident... but it's probably good Bella got that little experience of what it was really going to feel like when she Changes.
I'm not too worried about Carlisle's "horrified" look because at this point I'm choosing to believe it's due to his concern for how vampiric the babies are - and how close Bella came to potentially causing a public problem.
I'm hoping he gets to explaining that real quick before Bella drops too much further.
I'm just curious though how quickly she moved... is she actually a little faster/stronger as well with the pregnancy?

Wow, I didn't expect her reaction to be THAT bad! I figured blood would look appitizing, but not to that point. I guess having twins would make it even harder on her. Maybe Carlisle is thinking along those lines? I think the same as Rose. He will understand the actions and temptations, but he wont be exactly thrilled with it either. Well done!

LOL its so obvious he's just horrified that Bella would think he would leave her because of just one slip and he loves her blah blah, i love it! it'd be so funny if you totally twisted it and he actually was horrified and angry, but come on, he's Carlisle! love this story i've followed it from ALITD and am stuck on it, its my fave story keep updating!

Oh, come on. Carlisle could only be horrified that Bella could ever think that way. Even if she'd drained the girl of blood, Carlisle would have forgiven her. Besides which he'd never abandon those babies.

Awwwwww.....poor things. I think his reaction is more related to the concept of not being with Bella as opposed to her issues surrounding the blood. Poor thing. She can't help she has two half-breeds inside her. I hope she is able to work through and reconcile that she can't be judged. One, she didn't succeed in her intentions. Two, she needs blood and is have more stronger urges. Three, well everyone else understands bloodlust so her being that internal about it, is sort of not important. She needs to understand that this is something she will have to deal with.

There is something in this chapter that puzzles me. Carlisle says a baby's heart doesn't start beating until the 12th week, but with both of my children and all my friends' kids we all were able to see and hear the heartbeat at 6 weeks.
