YAY I LOVE knowledgeable SexWard!!! LOL. . I really love scenes like this one. It shows or hints at Edward's decades of extensive knowledge. I like a smart canon Edward and not just about the sex stuff, but a sexually ignorant Edward seems to be particularly rampant in FanFic. This is probably because too many people confuse his lack of hands of experience with total ignorance or that he is a prude. He is a 100+year-old mind reading vampire with an infallible memory, heightened senses, and an extensive education including anatomy, physiology, psychology, and sexuality.

I can't stand to read supposedly canon AU fics that have him sounding/acting like he really is a typical stupid teenage virgin. In fact, even most teenage virgins these days, with all of the sexually charged mass media, have a much larger knowledge base than many of the characters in some of these fics do. It makes me wonder if some of the authors are lying about their age and are actually minors over doing the ignorance of youth in their writing, or if they really believe that the teenagers they know are that sexually ignorant, lol. Maybe they just think it is funnier and/or makes for a more realistic story to show Edward learning this stuff. However, I politely disagree. They need to remember what and who Edward is if they are writing a canon vampire Edward.

He did not choose to stay a virgin because he is a prude or had performance anxiety, lol. He just had not found his mate and he is a reserved and private person. I have nicely commented about this with some other fics that were good but then they really had him absolutely clueless when it came to sex, and it totally ruins the story for me. Edward was not a prude or an idiot. He just has some control issues and in my opinion some dominant tendencies. But he is after all, a predatory vampire, who has waited a long time to fall in love with his soul mate. That is the reason for his wide spread appeal.

I often read through fic reviews and enjoy the comments and exchange of information. Usually I just don’t comment if I feel like what I have to say isn’t very complimentary because some of them get defensive or ignore the reviewers’ opinions, not just mine, about character behavior. I have even read responses that say the story had to be that way because that was the only way it would work. Some have responded with things like: well he is 17, he is a virgin, vaguely hearing about stuff isn’t the same as experience, he’s been blocking that stuff out all of this time, etc.

To an extent that stuff if partially true but in my opinion those responses are oversimplified and insinuate an impossible lack, of reasonable life experiences, for a man over a century old, and an extremely well educated one at that. To each his own I guess but I skim stories all of the time purposely looking for smarter Edwards and I can’t count how many I just completely ignore when they start portraying a stupid Edward, lol. And incidentally some of them are really begging for reviews. Anyway, I didn’t mean to get on a soapbox. I wish them all well and your fic is definitely among my favorites. Can’t wait for more of these little what if snippets.

Wow, that was one epic review.  I really enjoyed reading it, and I agree with you.  First, let me say that the Edward I write in this story (or more accurately, collection of one-shots) is pretty OOC.  I don't think Edward in canon would necessarily go straight for doing Bella doggy-style on the couch to make her squirt, or eat her out on a blanket on her lawn, etc.  Well, he probably would, but not before he got to know her better.  Or married her. :-)    

Edward, to me, even in canon, has a dirty side to him.  He's just better and more accustomed to hiding it, partly because of the era in which he grew up, and partly because of who he is as a gentleman.  I think that because of his ability, he definitely has to witness a lot of things he'd rather not see, but I'm sure natural curiosity would take over and he'd pay attention sometimes.  He also seems like the kind of guy who would try to give people (and his family) privacy when he could.  

I'm sure his first time with Bella was a bit awkward (what first time wouldn't be?) but, like you said, he also has the added benefit of knowing a lot more than normal awkward seventeen-year-olds.  :-)

Haha, no, this Edward definitely didn't hesitate.  I'm not going through all 4 books.  There are so many great Breaking Dawn "missing moments" stories or Breaking Dawn alternate stories with lemons that I feel I wouldn't be able to do it justice.  If you want some recommendations for them, I'd be happy to give you some.  Just PM me.  :-)

well there were several first in this chapter for me.....first time a Bella refers to her "sweet cunt" during her first time with edward. Also, the first time I come across the delightful phenomenon that is squirting in a twific!  I should document the date and time and shit!  LMAO!  Great chapter! Oh so hot and it cracked me the fuck up too!!

I think you're referring to the Austen collection, and it was because some of the characters had names that reminded her of Edward.  As much as Bella wanted to stop thinking about him, she kept being reminded, so she decided to nap instead.
