I was so happy to find your story back up tonight!  I can't wait for the new chapter!

Author's Response:

Thanks, Bart. I truly appreciate the kind words.

An interesting translation.  The English verions in use in the Catholic church translate "parce nobis" and "miserere nobis" into "have mercy on us," and "exaudi nos" in to "hear our prayer."  Sorry, I happen to be a nerd of the church choir variety :D

Author's Response:

Sorry not to have replied sooner. I appreciate the info! I scurried off to find out what was going on with the translation, and yep- you're right. I'll change it soon. I hope you enjoyed the rest of the story.

aaww man

that sucks man

sorry bout all that

this story is beyond awesome..soon i'll reread and post a review for each chapter

KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT WORK.

Author's Response:

Yes, it did suck. But, hey, I'm just grateful I could get the story itself back up again. Please don't feel like you have to go through and post comments for each chapter again. I saved a personal copy of the reviews before they had to be removed, and that's enough for me.

But I'm really happy you went ahead and posted new reviews in the last couple days. Thank you very much! :)

Oh thank goodness this was saved!!!!

I've read it again just for the pure joy of it.   So rich in every way:  story and character and emotion and philosophy.   So glad it has been saved, and so glad there is more to come.

Big hugs to you dear author and to everyone who helped to rescue this story from cyber-limbo!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much, mia. :) I'm always floored by your reviews and dedication to this story. It makes me want to be a much faster writer, lol.

I've really enjoyed this story.  It's fascinating to imagine what Edward's and Carlisle's lives were like many years ago, and you've done a wonderful job of envisioning that.  Your writing is a pleasure to read, too!  I appreciate your skill and style.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for the lovely review! I'm happy you're enjoying it, and hope you like the rest.

Sorry to hear you had to re-post your story! And sorry you lost all your reviews! So I'm leaving you another one because... well you're awesome. :) And I love this story.  So I'm leaving you love 'cause you deserve it. :)

Author's Response:

Aw, thanks, IntoTheNight. It's been frustrating to lose the reviews and all, but life goes on, and so will the story. Thank you so much for the support! :)

Curses!  But, at least you're back.  For a moment, I got scared that you weren't going to continue the story!  Looking forward to the next update.

For any new readers, this story is an absolute must!  The characterization of Carlisle, Edward, and their budding friendship is engaging, profound, and very well written.  I absolutely love seeing Edward's transformation from the boy he was to the century-old vampire we meet in Twilight.  There's also some delightful Carlisle-Esme romance thrown in, and I can't wait for her to be changed.  So yeah.  READ THIS NOW.

Author's Response:

Hey-ya Spike :)

Thank you so much. I actually blushed when I read this. You just made my day much less gloomy, lol. *love nibble*
