The opening scene with Victoria is chilling. Good but chilling. It's important to establish the evil that vampires can be. It actually makes Edward's argument (that he's not there to argue for scene 2) much more present.
I loved scene 2 -- the decision, Alice's waiting to say goodbye (great!), the talk. I think Carlisle's speed, the lack of time to think either before or after the decision, is merciful. And Bella seems so clear-eyed and certain, but not unkind: "It isn't Edward's decision to make, Carlisle." Just right!!

HELL YEAH I would change! Well if I were Bella that is. My life the way it is would be too hard because I have a daughter but Bella, she has nothing. No one but them. HOLY SHIT, Edward is going to be pissed and I am glad HAHA Holy crap Mike is a Vamp, Bella will be a Vamp, Edward is home, holy crap there is so much to take in. Honestly the best story I am reading on here right now. Its amazing. Update soon, dont keep us waiting too long.

OMG this is so heartwrenching. The pain they are all feeling is so palpable. I can't believe Charlie put her in a place like that...so sad.
Author's Response: I agree...I am sure all facilities are not like that but have to admit it is what I picture when I think of that kind of hospital.

Sigh...i think Carlisle is going to be appaled when he finds out what Edward really told Bella. I do believe it would serve Edward right to get his butt kicked by Carlisle for causing such pain.

Yay Edward's coming home!!!!!!!!! I love the thought of Bella being dressed up like a 40's starlet. I also like how they finally told Bella about Charlie and how Carlisle gave her the choice to join them and be turned ino a vampire.

Now, if I were to guess, Emmett and Rosalie are keeping an eye out for Victoria down in Florida while they protect Renee... meanwhile, Bella's ordeal without Edward has actually made her stronger, so she handles the death of Charlie better than expected. So, will Edward arrive in time to straighten Bella out as to how he truley feels about her? Wouldn't that be a kicker if he shows up while she's in the process of turning. :-)
