I know they are making progress but I am still so sad for them. Edward is forever Mr. Down-in-the-dumps. They are BOTH so insecure but I feel like Bella has to do all the work for the relationship. God knows she makes the sacrifices. So frustrating...

I have been utterly waiting on pins and needles for this chapter and you SO didn't disappoint! One of my favorite stories on the net, and cannot wait to find out what happens with Mike and Victoria. My vote is that Edward gets to take care of our hated Mr. Newton. He deserves it!

I know they have a lot to discuss, but ... I breathe a "sigh" of relief that Edware and Bella are finally talking. Not just talking, but so so much more! Love love love the fact that Edward realized he needed to wait for Bella to make the first move. Excellent!

Not Angela! I have to hand it to Mike though, using Angela as bait is very clever. How is Victoria going to react when she realizes that she's just a mean to an end for Mike? Who knew that he would be so vicious?
Love Emmett! He always knows the right things to say when he's serious and trying to straighten Edward out.

Emmett and the otters.... you painted quite the picture there.... absolutely hysterical!!!
One thing though - you wrote that Emmett was stronger than Bella, but as a newborn she is stronger than him. Did you make a mistake or doesn't Bella know about that fact yet? Since it was in her POV, the information we get is defined by what she knows.

"Betray you?!" Carlisle's voice rose and his approach on me quickened aggressively. "Edward, you have betrayed Bella and this entire family! How dare you come here, questioning my actions when we have not heard from you in months! Do you have any idea what you have put this girl through?"
When I read this passage I wanted to stand up and cheer for Carlisle! Soooo happy that he got angry and told Mr. Self Righteous off! I love Edward, but he pisses me off sometimes!
