Great chapter!  And I'm so glad Edward came clean about Clare's come-on.  I'm still a little worried about that, though.  I hope it doesn't come back to haunt him.  When things with Bella & Jake finally blow up, Clare is so close to her dad, that she may use the incident to hurt her mother and Edward.  Or, maybe she's not that devious and I'm jaded! :)

And althought that car may be gone now, I bet it's not gone for good!  I'm looking forward to Edward's renegotiations!! ;)

I hope he understands that they shouldn't have sex - as Bella said then she would be no better than Jacob.

Making out and touching is still stretching the adultery boundaries.

I really hope that she outs Jacob before her relationship with Edward comes out.  I would hate for Bella to be dragged through the mud after she has been the good faithful wife for so many years with Jacob treating her like dirt and cheating on her.

Bella deserves to be happy and so does Edward.

I get where you're coming from, hun - I really do! I agree that B & E deserve to be happy together, and that's why I'm writing this as a romantic love-story rather than a total smut-fest! I know that they are already essentially committing adultery with the kissing and touching, but they ARE both consenting adults, after all! That being said, I will NOT rush the physical side of their relationship just to get more followers and/or reviews! Some readers think they've already gone too far; some think that they haven't gone far enough. I'm just trying to keep it real! The next chapter will be romantic, sweet and HOT! I definitely would agree to a renegotiation. In fact, I'd be happy to be the moderator and would gladly volunteer to be "stand in" for what Edward proposes and let him practice on me for as long as he'd like!!
Bella has a strong sense of loyalty. I admire her resolve but honestly, if it were me & my hubby was cheating on me & RP just happened to be staying in my house & shockingly wanted me, I would do the kissing but I would feel guilty if it went further cause like Bella said, she'd be no better than Jake.
I think it's James stalking Bella & I'll feel so sad when Edward has to leave.
I definitely think Bella & Edward should further their relationship even if I wouldn't cause let's face it, in our fictionalized world, anything can happen & who wouldn't want a big tall glass of lemonade?!

Baahaahaaa! I love the fact that you would be willing to "throw yourself on the sword" to act as a stand-in with Edward! I totally get where you're coming from re: your feelings about E & B's physical relationship. I'm walking that fine line, I know. Don't worry, I won't force them into anything out of character just for the sake of inserting extra smut into my fic. I know that the smutty fics tend to have the biggest followings, but I really am trying to write a love story here! There will be lemons in the next chapter, but there are still certain boundaries that won't be crossed. I love lemons and smut as much as the next person, but I'm also trying to put myself in Bella's position. I tend to empathize with her deeply! Thanks so much for your support and kind words! :)

I know from personal experience, I have withheld information from friends in the past that I thought would be overly traumatic or upsetting to them. Great chapter!  Loved the lunch with Angela--she cracks me up!

Well, I totally think it's the creepy pool guy in the car.  But my biggest worry now is that Edward better tell Bella about Clare's advances, or that's just going to go 50 ways of wrong.  There are ways to do it that doesn't embarass Clare--too much--and he needs to be upfront.

Plus, she can't sleep with him before she confronts Jake. Otherwise, she's no better than him.

Love your story! I gave you a rec in the last chapter of my own fic.  I heard about yours from robbsweetangel.

Don't worry, I won't be rushing E & B into having sex (much as I might want to)! I agree that she really would be no better than Jake if that part of their relationship were to evolve before she confronts Jake. That being said, things will continue to be steamy & romantic between E & B! It's all about the sexual tension and romance, IMO! :)

Oh man! GREAT chappie! Soo soo happy to see them growing closer!

Why is Claire being so hateful? I can't even imagine why she would speak to Bella that way...I get that she's a teenager but geesh! I hope Bella exposes Jake for the cheater he is first so there isn't as much hatefulness on Claire's part.  If she found E/B together in a compromising situation, that could only end badly. 

Is it Mike Newton in the car? Or is it James? Or do you have Mike and James working together somehow?  Hmmm....how would Mike have found out so quickly where E was going....what does James have to do with it....arg!

Love the heat you write between these two! It's hot!  And nothing has even happened yet! I'm dying for the lemons but I know it will probably be awhile. So many things to figure out to get to that point.  I'm a very patient person b/c I suspect you will more than make it worth our time!

I guess I need to save this to my fanfic faves too since it updated 2 or 3 days sooner over there.  I kept thinking all last Friday that this update should be coming thru. I know it's a much slower process over here on Twi'd though.

Anxiously awaiting the next chapter and to see what lunch with Angela will entail!  Love this fic! :o)
