Bella is a hypocrite for sleeping with Edward, wanking him off in the shower etc and then saying I can't have sex with you, that makes me as sleazy as my husband.. hello, engage brain.. wanking a celeb off in yr shower is not being faithful.

She has real self-esteem issues and shouldn't have let Alice convince her to persuade Edward to go to London. I bet Alice knew exactly what she was doing when she told Bella that Edward thought of her as a mother figure. Miaow.

Telling Edward eyeball to eyeball that she doesn't love him.. if she really did, how could she say that ?

I get what you're saying. Bella definitely has self-esteem issues after being under Jake's thumb for so many years, and she feels extremely conflicted about her feelings for Edward. She really DID think that she was doing him a favor by lying to him & telling him that she didn't love him (just as E did to B in NM). They BOTH need a little time apart to grow emotionally and sort out their true feelings for each other. The next few chapters will be a little rough, but I promise not to prolong the pain unnecessarily!

Damn Alice! I hope she somehow slips up and mentions about talking to Bella and then he can fit the pieces together of why she didn't want him any more. I hope Edward doesn't start whoring around again- even if he did get hi heart broken. Please update soon! I can't wait for Bella and Jake to finally divorce! I wonder what will happen to Claire? Especially since she seems to like her dad, Jake, better than her mom, Bella.

Oh yeah....kinda hating on you right about now but more so on Bella. Lying is NEVER a good idea no matter what the intent.  Alice may be a good PA but she overstepped her boundaries and has basically shoved Edward back to addiction....just saying.

By denying her feelings to Edward, no matter how good and right she thinks it is, she is destroying him.  He's a young, insecure actor who has fallen in love for the first time with a woman worthy of that love and she just took it and smashed it to smithereens because she chose to listen and "talk" to someone she's never met and has no idea who she is.  For all Bella knew, Alice could be a scorned lover, etc.

So now Dumbella has not only lost her true love (age is just a number) but she is finally getting rid of Jake (good to let it be his choice since the guilt will make him more amenable, generous, etc.) and there is no one for her to go to.  I hope Angela is able to contact Edward.  I think he has her cell number or she has his.

Please don't drag out the angst, make it months or years before they meet up, have Bella get hurt by James or have Edward relapse.

What I would love to see happen is Edward does go to NYC, Alice slip up and divulge that she spoke to Bella and tells him everything, Edward realizes Bella lied to him and flies back to Texas and finds Bella at home crying, comforts her and they both tell the truth and admit their love.  Bella is going to have to grovel...she hurt Edward bad.  However, I believe Edward won't make her suffer too long.  He loves her so much!!!   

Sorry for my rant but I have always believed that the truth is the only way to go, even if it's hurtful.  Bella playing the martyr for the greater good of Edward is selfish and stupid.  Since when is it her decision what he should do in his professional life? 

I don't mean to tell you how to write your story but for some reason, this story just sticks with me and this chapter, while I loved the way they were able to express their love for each other, really pissed me off in the end when Bella took it upon herself to make decisions they both should have made together.  If Edward relapses, never comes back and Bella ends up alone living in her memories of Edward and what could have been and never will be, that's her own fault.

Yeah, a lot of people are pretty unhappy with Alice right now. Like Bella, though, this is just her misguided attempt to protect Edward. There are a lot of themes of protection / salvation in this story, but people's actions sometimes have the opposite effect of what was intended. Thanks for reading & reviewing! :)

Thanks for holding off on throwing the pitchfork at me! Bella is trying to be selfless, as she is wont to do. She knows that she hurt Edward, but she truly believes that what she's done is for his own good and that eventually he'll be able to move on (like Edward did to Bella when he broke up with her in NM). I am torn between the 2 teams.  Because Bella is still married, however i Know she needs to be with Edward so she can finally see how bad it is with Jacob.  I see rough seas ahead for our 2 lovers.  Great writing and looking forward to more.

I totally "get" where you're coming from on being torn between the two "teams". Two wrongs definitely don't make a right, especially in Bella's mind. I'm trying to be very careful in writing the love scenes between her and Edward so as not to compromise the integrity of her character. Enjoy the happy times now, because there are major angsty times ahead!
