Such a good story.

Lots of charm in this story and isn't it strange, I'm reading this, unintentionally, just days before Christmas!! What a chance Carlisle took, and again, something always seems to protect Carlisle from harm! Smiles! As I've written to you before, it's divine mercy, of that I'm absolutely sure! This was a great story of the unselfishness of Christmastime; congratulations! Happy Holidays!

Author's Response:

Happy Holidays to you too!  Thanks so much for the review and your comments!  I enjoy reading them, and actually reread this story recently myself as I love Carlisle and Esme happy endings, but at the same time, kind of like seeing them having "typical" marital issues.  Hope our paths cross again!

*sniffles and daps a tear from her eye* Thank you so much for this Christmas gift. I love this fluff with a message!!! I know that I am one year late reading it (I can't believe that it's less than a year since I discovered fanfiction!), but the message never gets old, does it? On the contrary, I seem to need the reminder of the true meaning of Christmas, that we should "be Jesus for each other", from time to time just like Esme and Carlisle did.

I like the idea of special ornaments for the Christmas tree.

I LOVE Rose's Mercedes SLR McLaren, it would be just the car for me!!! Unfortunately a model of it is all I can afford *sighs deeply*... (Can you see how easily I loose the true Christmas perspective? ;-) )... But why, oh why, did you give Carlisle the BMW E36 M3? If I did my calculation correctly this story is set in 2014, so this car would be over 14 years old!?

Esme alone on Christmas Eve, that's really sad. I can understand her bad mood so well, and Carlisle's for that matter. And it reminds me to be VERY thankful for all the medical (and non-medical) folks who make the sacrifice of working during the Holydays to keep things going. THANK YOU!!!

Of course I can rely on your training to give me the true ER impression/feeling. :-)

"...I wondered how many items would be hurled in my direction when I crossed the threshold...she'd have every right, though. Maybe a good smack with an oversized candy cane would be worth it if it would make her feel better..."

No, Esme wouldn't, would she? I mean I can understand hurling objects to vent but to actually throw them at Carlisle?... On the other hand if you know that your partner is almost indestructible and it would only damage the objects and not your husband...hmmmm...perhaps...that's a new perspective! ;-)

Author's Response:

Oh, how I love a review that makes me laugh!!  A car buff are you?  Hmmm, trying to remember my research on Carlisle's car....how about this: he loves a classic car!  I don't see Carlisle like the rest of them, getting a new car just cuz they can.  If Carlisle find something that works for him, I think he'd stick with it.

And, no, I never believed for one minute Esme would hurl anything at Carlilse in anger, that was just him overreacting to the situation.  I think the only thing I ever really hurled at my husband was myself too!  Thanks so much for the support, R&R, and Happy New Year!

GREAT story as usual!! Your work is always sooo good!!! Please please keep writting!!!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much dear.  I loved writing this one.  I have been working diligently on Honeymoon Suite and pre-work on my next fanfic, Future Imperfect.  I guess I won't be stopping anytime soon.  Glad you are with me!!

Ok - so it's not actually christmas, I'm a little late (or very early depending on how you look at it) However - I really enjoyed this! I could quite clearly see that situation happening in homes all over the world (with the exception of the sparkling in the sun, obviously!)

Got to be honest I can sympathise with Esme on this one - many a chrsitmas has been lost to waiting for a certain someone to come home. I'm pretty sure I've even greeted him in a similar fashion! Another great piece of writing x

I love how they act like any other doctor and his wife.

Love the Christmas tree as well - such a good idea!

Delightful and delicious! Carlisle really would perpetually get the short end of the stick when it came to work; that's something I'd not thought of before. Your ER description is uncomfortably real, making it a perfect counterpoint to the empty quiet house Esme is surrounded with...I could totally visualize how lonely it would seem to her.

I loved the resolution: Esme's realization of what Carlisle had been dealing with, and the way she chose to greet him when he finally got home.

A wonderful little Christmas treat of a story.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for taking the time to review/comment.  I hadn't thought about the contrast in noise and activity between the ER and the house!  Happy New Year!

Another good installment in the series.  Write more.

Author's Response:

Thank you!  Thought I'd dabble in fluff and take a break from angst.  It was nice while it lasted...

Beautiful Christmas story,  I love it.  And thank you for writing about Carisle and Esme. I love to read about them.  And the CD with Edward and Nessie, so cute.  I can just imagine how adorable Nessie's "Santa Baby" is.  Very nice story, Thank you , again, as always.

Merry Christmas,

Saya

I love your story!  I was afraid it was going to be melancholy, but it had such a sweet and happy ending.

Author's Response:

Sorry about the mood in the beginning, but I hoped it would make the ending that much sweeter!
