She's had some really good ideas for seduction but some really disasterous outcomes. I think the dance was brilliant other than it had to be done in front of everyone therefore turning them all on. Although that kind of power could be fun too. I think she should just come out and tell him that she loves him and wants him and quit playing games. It just might work.

First off...LOVE Leah. But that's typical for me. What does it mean that I like Bella (at least over 50% most of the time) AND Leah. Split personality issues maybe?
Anywho, you do realize that I immediately scrolled down to the AN to see what you were referencing with Leah's Rules of Seduction #48 plus addendums a, b, c, and d. Wonder how many readers did the same thing. And yes...you are right....works like a charm....EVERYTIME. BTW, how many other readers did the same thing?
Carmen...mmmmm....will be interesting to see how she will come into play. I'm thinking that she just might manage to place poor Jake unwittingly in a slightly precarious 'position' that Bella just happens upon. Carmen the Crocodile.
Paul sounds very much in character...as usual. He's one of those characters that seems to stay the same all around.
And of course, the dance scene was....hot, no? LOL! Very funny as well considering the various reactions.
You've done it again! I'm leaving for the beach tomorrow morning and have been stressing over getting everything done. What a great way to wind down and relax before the madness begins! Great job, girl!
Author's Response: Hey Love! You know, there is something I adore about Leah. I always saw a very salvageable gem underneath the attitude. For someone who is so hurt and bitter, in a lot of ways she really has her shit together.
Seriously though, aren't you tired of reading about both Leah and Bella being unable to let go of the past? It made all kinds of sense to me that Leah is waaaay too smart and feisty to let her life get permanently screwed up by any man's betrayal. It also seemed likely that she would relate to the pain Bella went through when Bella was similarly and unceremoniously dumped by Edward.
With the relationship between Charlie and Sue, there's really no reason why Leah wouldn't make Bella part of her family. I think Leah gives Bella the strength and backbone she needs and Bella gives Leah a softer, more maternal side Leah desperately needs as well. They are so good for each other.

I'm kicking myself right now! I missed the alert for chapter 8 and have been waiting for an update forever and now I got one, and it's for chapter 9! Can't believe I've waisted all this time when there was a chapter to read! The good thing is that I have two new chapters to read today (trying to see the glass as half full...)!
I loved this chapter! I especially love Jake's POV - so funny!
My absolute favorite line;
"Fuck me running and steal my shoes!" - hilarious! I'm still laughing and I'm definitely going to borrow it just to see peoples reactions!

I love your story and the only thing that sucks about it is not having an infinite number of chapters, but we can't blame you for that one. And moving sometimes really sucks, especially when you're in love with your home and surroundings...but think of it as an adventure :D. I would love for Bella to get at least a small victory in her efforts to get Jake...just saying...thought I should add that in there... Okay, I'm done ;)

Eeh, loved the chapter! Jake was showing some serious control, ha. I seriously need to get Italy sometime in my life. Just curious but, have you ever thought of putting up songs that would go with the chapters? I think it would be great to have some tuneage while reading the chapters! I absoluted loved this: "Fuck me running and steal my shoes," holy god I couldn't stop laughing. That was a good idea to have Jake mention that they have never been on a date. The humor in this story has me pretty much shaking in my chair (not rolling on the floor sorry, not quite sanitary :)..Can't wait for the next one and no matter how long it takes I will still be here!

The "Fuck me running and steal my shoes" line is a direct, much beloved and used quote from hubby. He is always very creative in his swearing. It's almost like an art form for him.
Hmmm, the music thing. Well, here is the deal: unlike everyone else in the Twilight Universe, when I listen to music, I have to be doing something fairly mindless, because I start listening to the music and that's all I do. When I write, I don't want any other distractions that might take me away from my writing. I don't even like someone else to be in the room with me.
My musical tastes are wildly eclectic (and I do mean wildly). To me, great music is great music no matter when or where it was written. I was a music major and played in classical symphonies forever, so my first and greatest love is classical music. I also adore stuff written around the year 1,000 A.D., devour Renaissance music, ancient folk music, modal music, opera (modern and classic) weird early 20th century stuff as well as later avant-garde composers such as John Cage and modern romantics like Edward Hart.
I also listen to a bunch of very bizarre ethnic music from around the world nobody else listens to. I love old Mississippi blues from the 20’s and 30’s, big band music from the 40’s, 50's and 60's pop, Frank Sinatra, Billie Holliday, Patsy Cline, Prince, English techno stuff, Daughtry, Muse, and crap from the top 40, so to post a list that wouldn’t make any normal person scream and run for the hills would be pretty tough for me. Maybe I should have a music beta that could come up with appropriate songs for what I write. Or is that not how it's supposed to work? Interested? NO Kings of Leon, especially not “Sex on Fire” since that’s what everybody and their brother uses! ;p You’re sorry you brought the whole subject up now, aren’t you?

Amazing! I love the whole story. I am really impressed with the detail and research you care to go into for random parts of the story, especially the wolves. My fiance is Native American and he has a license to keep wolves. We have 3 :). And the way you portrayed the pack was brilliant. I can't wait for the next update. The only negative critcism I can think of is that at times the change in POV and reiterating the exact same scene can be slightly boring. Maybe you could try switching the POV more rapidly within the scene so that the action is happening all at once from both perspectives and the readers aren't forced to rehash the same encounter twice. But all in all this is a WONDERFUL story. I look forward to the next chapter.

Hey, I appreciate your pointing out the reiteration of scenes can be boring. You are right! I only try to do it when I think there is something going on in one of their head's that I think you should know. But I can certainly do it in shorter segments. I've already finished Chapters 9, 10 and 11 and I think you'll find less of the long repeats in those chapters. Hope so. You'll have to let me know what you think.
UPDATE INFORMATION ON CHAPTER 9
Someone wrote me yesterday and asked me if I'd abandoned the story. NO I HAVEN'T! I'm so sorry about the long delay in posting Chapter 9. My poor overworked beta had it for a good while before she could get to it and we are now on DAY 16 since I submitted it to Twilighted. (My validation beta got married the day I submitted it.) Don't know what I can do except sigh and write future chapters. Anybody have any ideas, write and let me know. :(

Normally the jr. vali beta posts chapters, but Live720 just got married and is on her honeymoon, so...I don't know if my senior vali beta will deal with it or they'll just wait until Live720 returns. We'll see. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. :)
