I so love Edward.  I love Bella too but he is just such a sweet soul underneath.  You write so well that I can feel his anxiety as I read your words.  So onward to another hurdle for the poor boy.  I think he'll get thru it OK though.  He really has made a lot of progress in a short time.  As always, looking forward to your next update.

Yes!  This went better than I imagined.  Edward will be a wreck meeting Charlie, but I can't help think it will be to his advantage in more ways than one to be on some kind of positive personal terms with Charlie.  Edward's horizons are expanding.  Maybe he'll come to somewhat accept that he can have a normal life.  I'm repulsed at all the different ways that James abused Edward.  I'm surprised that Edward is relatively normal despite his awful experience.

Reading this chapter from EPOV was heartbreaking. One thing that stood out was that he doesn't consider himself attractive. I'm sure when he finds out Bella thinks he is beautiful it will blow his mind! It's so devastating to know victims of abuse consider themselves ugly and tainted. I'm happy at least that Bella is going slow with him, not putting any pressure on. It's clear by now she will do anything to put Edward at ease, even though her heart is overflowing to get closer to him. How frustrating for her; but her tenderness is just what he needs.

I can't tell you Nilla how enjoyable this story is; whenever I see the update I literally sing! Thank you for the slow progression of these characters; I'm sure I speak for all of your fans here when I say how much we feel invested in them and care about them. Now go forth, and create a perfect first date. LOL :)
