So now Bella knows. I'm sure everything makes more sense to her now. And she hugged him! I hope he doesn't push her away, but embraces her instead & takes all the comfort she can give him  :-(

Great chapter!

This is one of the better chapters. You caught the abuse victims feeling exact. I have been waiting for the big reveal and the other shoe to drop for the climax of the story.  I hope you write through the struggles of intimacy with the characters.  THat will be important for the flow of the story.  Itimacy of abuse victims takes a slow progress and will have setbacks.

As I have said before I worked with abuse victims at our local mental hospital.  My age group was teens. I would be glad to help if you need it.

Wow, I could imagine that was hard to write! Edward is so broken and it so sad to read.  I'm glad that he has Bella though and hopefully he will understand that she isn't judging him or pitying him.  I like that Bella is sticking around. Great chapter!

You're right...I didn't see that ending bit coming but at the same time with the Bella you've created in this story, it's exactly how I'd expect her to respond to not on the revelation from Edward (which I'd thought she might have figured out earlier!).

Loved it as usual, hope the rest of the date goes smoothly please let Edward finally hug her or kiss her on the cheek!

hahaha...ohhh, bella. i love the non-filtered word vomit. you know, seeing this fic update always makes my day. it moves slowly, but i feel like it's perfect because every little nuance is important to both of them. sigh. thanks, as always for a great chapter :)

A quicky:

For a couple of minutes, we just sat there in silence, close together on the floor. Then Edward tentatively raised his other arm, and I watched in astonishment how his trembling hand slowly moved towards my face. Instinctively closing my eyes, I could feel my entire body shaking as he finally tucked a single strand of hair behind my ear.

“Promise?” he whispered hoarsely, and my eyes immediately snapped open.

At first, I didn’t understand what he was asking, because all I could think about was the sensation of his fingers in my hair. Then it all came back to me, and I nodded, eagerly. “I promise,” I breathed, giving his hand a soft squeeze. “You’re stuck with me now.”

So cute...

And gah. I can't help but think of the Edward from The Vampire In The Basement. Poor boy. Alike situation with the learning to touch him.

First, I owe you an apology. I quit reviewing a while back but it was because I was so caught up in this story. I cannot say enough good things about it. I have laughed and cried. My heart breaks for Edward and who would've thougth Bella could be so compassionate? ;) Your characters are phenomenal. I promise to review from this point forward. ;)

Secondly, I want you to know that this story has really touched me. I was hesitant to rad it at first because I had read your warnings but something just told me to read it. I am so glad I did. See, I was abused as a child and as a teen things only got worse. I can relate to some of the things Edward does. The way he flinches when someone touches him, etc It is so hard to believe anything good about yourself when your whole life you are told just how bad you are.It took me most of my adult life to get over what happened to me. Anyway, I am not goign to go into my childhood. I just wanted to say thanks and let you know how much I am enjoying this story.

FYI My favorite line so far is "Oh God No, not her too, not her, not her" That was the sweetest most amazing thing I have ever read.

hahahaa Staiasha & I had a great time discussing the new chapter which was posted a little bit before we headed to work this morning. The 'chop chop' reference to Tanya from an out-of-character Bella was of particular amusement to us :) I thought Edward did well dealing with Charlie and had to giggle at the fact the conversation took a turn to Charlie paying his daughter out and embarassing her. *L*

Cannot wait to read about the rest of their date. The freesia that Edward brought for Bella was a lovely touch.
