A good chapter, don't be nervous. I was always wondering how you wold approach the main reveal. It will hopefully allow Edward to move on a bit now that he knows Bella wont run.

I'm glad it's finally out in there air - now he can get over the horror of her knowing and move on to accept that even knowing, she wants to be his friend and more. Knowing that somebody who isn't family - who doesn't "have to" care for him - still does. Every day that she stays, he'll be a little bit closer to trust, and to realizing that any shame or guilt lies on James' head, not his. I understand him not wanting to feel all "victimy"-y, that's what he WAS - just a victim of somebody else's disgusting behavior. Eventually, he can move towards being a SURVIVOR - and find some happiness. With Bella, please! :) She's patient enough to let him set the pace. :)
I can't freakin' WAIT for the next chapter! seriously, this cliffie is just epic fail. Alas. :)

No i didn't see that coming! i'm so glad it's out there, she knows the depth of his pain and self-hate. i like how the scene with Tanya triggered their discussion. he didn't have an inkling how she was flirting with him, or why Bella would be upset over it. I really love these two!

Oh Edward - you poor, broken child! He is just so lost and confused. His thoughts are distorted and tainted by his past.
I truly want to hurt his parents. James got off too easy for his crimes!
I was surprised that he 'told' Bella. I am relieved that now she knows. It will be a true test for both of them - what they do next. I hate that he blames himself. Unfortunately, it is true for most victims of abuse.
I thought that Bella handled it well. I hope that she continues to do so. I am eager to see what happens next!
Oh, you did an excellent job with this chapter. This chapter is a perfect example of why you/this story has a blue ribbon!!

*tears fall* OMG what a talk, and yes it is heartbreaking that Edward feels that way. That rat bastard James should burn over and over for the vile acts he commited. I am rather glad that the thing Edward feared the most about Bella finding out finally happened. I know she will not run and I hope Edward accepts that in time. Oh what will he do with this hug. I hope he hugs her back and realizes she will be there for him.

wow, really didn't see that coming. i mean, i knew he was not 'just' beaten but i didn't expect her to find out now...great chapter! (not what happened to edward but how you portrayed it - all the anger and confusion...and finally the hug. i hope this goes over well with e accepting the hug - he really really needs the comfort! shit, there's so much pain. obviously bella didn't think it'd be so bad! love your story! give edward a big embrace from me!

Hey again!
She bit her lip as she moved, slowly, her eyes never leaving mine. And then, almost like in slow motion, she put her arms around me.
OMG... Finally they're hugging, at precisely the right moment, too!
I'm so, so, so happy that she knows! It was only a matter of time, but it was that time. I seriously hope that he'll learn to trust her, that he can believe her when she says he's not tainted, that the stepfather was an ass, and that dang it, he should FIGHT for his life, for making it his own again, and I hope she'll be at his side, loving him more because he does chose to not be a victim any more, six years after the facts.
Don't be nervous for it was perfect. Awesome.
