I'm sitting here grinning from ear to ear. They are just so cute together! I'm so glad to see that they're making even more progress, and that Edward seems intent on making his relationship with Bella work. They're just so darn cute...

I just loved that he was there for her when she was upset and needed him.  Again, he surprised me by touching Bella and kissing her.  I didn't expect it.  I am very curious about what will happen next for them.  (I realize I say that a lot.)  But whenever I finish a chapter - I am eager for the next.

You go Edward!  That was so damn heartwarming, but a kiss is such a HUGE step for Edward, to actually associate something so tender with pleasure and warmth instead of revulsion.  I loved this chapter!

Beautiful.  In this totally sad, screwed up story, their first kiss obviously not without drama, but perfect for them.  You wrote it wonderfully.  I ache for both of them.  You are a wonderful writer and I am sooooo happy to have them both at this point.  The way Edward has overcome so much and Bella's help in all of that.  It would be nice if more people like the Bella you've created here truly existed, especially in this age group you're writing about.  I truly love these two characters you've created.  Excellent chapter.

Amazingly enough, for once, I had slept peacefully throughout the night.

That's what I thought was going to happen. All because Bella didn't run. He never thought people would stay if they knew.

She didn’t object as I pulled her to her feet, and I found myself wondering if she had felt the same familiar tingling sensation I did, the moment our fingers made contact.

Oooooooooooh, Edward has the tingles already? :-DDDDDDDDd

She didn’t have any nightmares about her old room, because unlike me, she had never been hiding under the covers listening for the familiar sound of footsteps, praying in vain that just this once, they wouldn’t stop outside the door. Unlike me, Bella never had to fear going to bed because of what was about to come.

I wonder if Edward ever tried to run away? I don't know if children who get raped do that? Depends on what the rapist does to their psyche?

”Open up, boy. Take it in your mouth. Do it!”

Oh no, not that too... I wonder what happened when he (accidentally) bit down... Another smack, perhaps until he had fractures? My poor boy...

I'm happy, so happy for him that he fought that feeling of nausea off, and went back and tried it with Bella. That's the best thing he could do. That boy is going to recover, take his life back into his own hands. *clap*

So happy, such a huge chapter, such a big change from one day to the next one, and all because she didn't run away. He slept, he actually slept. In peace.

Will there be a sleepover soon? I'd like to see him holding Bella when sleeping. ^^
