Nilla, just another amazing chapter! I can't even express how digusted I felt at Edward's flashback to James and his command to "open up"! And he worked through it! I hope he re-considers talking to a therapist because I think there may be some harder flashbacks that he will have to deal with.

oh my what a super chapter, that boy is begining to blossom he took the initive with bella recgonising she needed comfort he choose not to run but to step up and provide that comfort, and the kiss i wanted to cry almost, how sweet and innocent it was untill james came over in a flash back which in itself was shocking knowing exactly what edward had to do, so our dear brave edward makes a decision and for the first time in his life he chooses not to let his past affect his here and now, his future and he kisses her again now i got a few tears about, excellent story thanks tracy

i wish this story would go on forever...i'm so attached to these two, it's pretty ridiculous. but i can't help but, unfortunately, relate to their circumstances...and it's definitely given me all kinds of hope.
i love them and hope there isn't something huge and terrible looming in the near future to derail all the progress they've made. fantasic update, per usual. xoxo.

I love the progress you are allowing him to make, but I would love to see him start to address his self hate via some good counselling. I'd really love some progress with relations with his family from his side - not all at once, I know this is gently gently; I just love seeing him starting to blossom. Thanks

*jumps around like an exciteable little pony* OMG...they've kissed. I KNEW there was a reason the number 38 because as many of your loyal devotees on Twitter have pointed out, this is the best chapter yet! :)
I'll be honest, the brief flashback of one of the things James said to Edward horrified me and I know it's not REAL real, if you know what I mean though, but it gave me the chills all the same.
I could just imagine what would happen if Carlisle or Esme were to walk in right now! *L*
From the first moment Edward laid his trembling arm around Bella to comfort her, when he went in for that second kiss with Bella... ahhhh... you've melted me. He may not be going to therapy at the moment, but in making that decision to not let James ruin the one thing in his life that he treasures... well Edward is finally doing what Carlisle wanted him to do. Learn to heal and find a way to get past it all.

awww!!! it's so precious...i'm so happy for these two. they are coming along quite nicely. i'm so very proud of young edward...he's seen and experienced so much in his short years and he's finally starting to gain some semblance of happiness....kudos on this chapter
