Read it all today, and it actually almost had me in tears at some points...I've read A LOT of fics already, and that's a first..
I feel so sorry for bella, it makes me want to crawl into my laptop and bitch slap the eff out of charlie.

*eyes water and tears are definalty on the horizon* Oh dear...why Charlie choses to do that I'll never know but I feel for how wrong it all is. Bella certainly does not deserve her lot and I can only hope that Edward shows here that she doesn't have to live like that.

Of course the adoption line was a foreshadowing of what was waiting for Bella at home; I began to anticipate a rather greusome homecoming for her and you didn't disappoint. Kinda wish that the Cullens were vampires to literally rip Charlie apart, but unfortunately true victims of abuse don't have a friendly team of supernatural guardians to help them.
A powerful chapter; well worth the wait.
Author's Response: Thanks so much. I know what you mean about the Cullens being vampires, but I think that would be too easy. As you said, most abuse victims don't have any supernatural guardians to rescue them. I'm trying to keep this as real as possible.

ok so this is the first time i've reviewed a story on twilighted so i have no idea what i'm doing. if it all goes wrong, don't blame me.
i love this story. i've read others that have the same storyline as this, but i think this one is written better. i really like the slow build between bella and edward. and i like how jess is a silent bystander, but she still cares. can't wait to read more.

Author's Response: Ok, the thing thing with Mike is that Edward is still mad at him for the gym 'incident'. Logically, he knows that it was an accident, but he can't help hating Mike for hurting Bella. Just imagine how he'll feel for someone who hurt her on purpose. Thanks for the review.

Author's Response: Charlie has a lot of problems, but mostly I think his issue is control. He didn't want to be saddled with a baby fresh out of high school and didn't know how to deal with the stress and now he needs to control everything. I'm not making excuses, I just feel like he has to have some reason, even if it's only inside his head.

Nice -- She had a bright yellow silky wrap top with her dark skinny jeans and, oh my god, she was actually wearing heels in this weather. Her beautiful pixie-like face was animated as she spoke, and she looked like her smile was constant. This is a girl who wants to be noticed, I thought. -- This is a girl who wants to be seen.
Alice's voice is well done here. Love the rapid fire speech.
