I liked this chapter but was a bit disapointed in both Edward and his parents, I think they could have all handled it better.

I hope that Edward wakes up soon and goes and apologise to Bella - I hope she forgives him but isnt too easy on him - he needs to realise that they can get through this together and that he shouldnt just assume that she wont be able to cope with his schedule.

Cant wait for the next chpater.

Like Carlisle I don't understand either.  He's seriously fucked up this time - I realised he said those things partly because he thought his parents reaction was a negative one but then in the phone call to Carlisle did he change his mind or what?  Is he trying to formulate a way to apologise? (although after that she should seriously kick his arse) Help, I'm confused?

Achilles, he is trying to find a way to apologize because he knows that he has messed up and he knows the standard "sorry" isn't going to cut it. The concerns that led him to this place still exist though. Carlisle's assurance that they could live through it helps immensely since he has already been there and his marriage to Esme is still strong.

Wow, Edward is dumb. Really, really dumb. Maybe too dumb? I'm not sure that I can believe that if he was really that sorry that he would let it go that long. Just because he wants to think of a good apology? Also, his parents say one thing and he's done? That seems pretty weak sauce to me. He didn't even let them finish their sentence! He's an idiot. Forget him Bella! Sorry, I had to rant! Anywho, I really do like this story.  See ya next time.

Holy Crap! That was SO not what I expected!!! I can't believe Edward would just jump ship so quickly & leave Bella thinking she's nothing!

I figured Carlisle & Esme would've wrapped them both up in big hugs. Edward needs to get his head out of his butt & do some serious kissing up to Bella.

Well now that was NOT what I was expecting!  I was thinking they would get the misunderstanding rectified and then the rest of the trip would go as planned....you definitley suprised me! 

Edward is being a drama king though....he's really taking the brooding thing to a new level, isn't he??   Bella needs to make him work for it!  I would!  Whatever....you can do anything for love, even medical residency!  I've seen it!  Wake up Edward!  LOL!!! 

I LOVE your story!  Looking forward to see how you have Bella handling all of this!  Thanks for writing!

I am very angry with what Edward did. That was so stupid and irrational and impulsive and he should be ashamed of himself for doing such a thing to Bella. Especially since she has given him no reason to doubt that she could handle his work schedule. I a bit angry with how Bella reacted too. I can understand she might have been shocked when all of a sudden he said "this isn't going to work" But never would I have expected her to still let him walk her out to the truck. I would have been happier had she slapped him and told him to stay far, far away from her. I hope she doesn't take him back immediately. I hope she makes him grovel and beg and make it up to her a million times over. But those are just my thoughts. Otherwise great chapter and I hope you'll update with another one soon.

I am glad that you noticed that Bella didn't follow through with what she should have done either. That isn't a very popular sentiment but a true one, nonetheless. She should have fought harder to make him see reason.
