Well, that got very confusing at the end. Oh well.
I'm writing because I like this story and in my opinion, in one chapter, you've stripped Bella of all self respect. Why on Earth would Bella fight for a man who is <!-- /* Font Definitions */ @font-face {font-family:"Cambria Math"; panose-1:2 4 5 3 5 4 6 3 2 4; mso-font-charset:1; mso-generic-font-family:roman; mso-font-format:other; mso-font-pitch:variable; mso-font-signature:0 0 0 0 0 0;} @font-face {font-family:Calibri; panose-1:2 15 5 2 2 2 4 3 2 4; mso-font-charset:0; mso-generic-font-family:swiss; mso-font-pitch:variable; mso-font-signature:-1610611985 1073750139 0 0 159 0;} /* Style Definitions */ p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {mso-style-unhide:no; mso-style-qformat:yes; mso-style-parent:""; margin-top:0in; margin-right:0in; margin-bottom:10.0pt; margin-left:0in; line-height:115%; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-ascii-font-family:Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family:Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-hansi-font-family:Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-bidi;} .MsoChpDefault {mso-style-type:export-only; mso-default-props:yes; mso-ascii-font-family:Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family:Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-hansi-font-family:Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-bidi;} .MsoPapDefault {mso-style-type:export-only; margin-bottom:10.0pt; line-height:115%;} @page Section1 {size:8.5in 11.0in; margin:1.0in 1.0in 1.0in 1.0in; mso-header-margin:.5in; mso-footer-margin:.5in; mso-paper-source:0;} div.Section1 {page:Section1;} --> admittedly a *mean* jackass when he doesn't get his way, threw her away with a complete lack of respect, and says he doesn't want her. Let alone call his mother and ask for tips on how to do it. Why would you write Bella like that?
From the way this chapter ended, I'm guessing Edward comes in and saves Bella, says sorry, and Bella is just so grateful to be saved and wants him back so much she takes him back with no effort on his part to make amends. And then they live happily ever after with Edward promising to never do it again.
But like I said, I've liked this story so far, and I really hope it doesn't end like that.
This was mostly venting frustration about how the character is acting, so if you've read it, thanks. And I really hope you don't take it too critically. This is a well written story, and a pretty good read.
Thanks very much for writing and take care.
Author's Response: Thank you for reading and for your critique. Edward takes a lot of flak for his role (admittedly, it is deserved) in their issues but no one looks at the fact that Bella didn't do anything to stop him. He was obviously upset and she didn't even try to talk him down from the ledge. She loves him. All will not be forgiven that easily but there is a happy ending.
I hope the rest of the story doesn't disappoint.

Alice is having a baby...yea! But... maybe a little bittersweet for B/E. It was written very realistically.

My mother in law did this to me every time I invited them to dinner. After the 3rd time, I stopped inviting them. You don't have to bring your neighbors with you to dinner when you are invited out. I had the typical mother in law relationship with mine. She did everything in her power to cause trouble between her son and I. GRRRR! He too is named Edward. :) Ok, enough! *g* Loved how Edward though Bella would be upset that he had to work the holidays and wouldn't be able to go home. Don't blame Bella ONE LITTLE BIT for being upset at Esme for doing this without even asking first. New home, not even uppacked yet and she is bringing extra people to visit and cook for the holidays? NO!!!! I think Bella is handling it well considering. Great writing. Love this!
Author's Response: Thank you! I would probably react in much the same way but I made it clear to my in-laws early on that I don't host dinner. It has saved me a lot of trouble!

Our very first Thanksgiving as a married couple the same situation happened to us. Everyone ended up camping out all over my home for four days. Ten people in a two bedroom condo. I did not sleep for days before and definitely not while the house was full. My husband walked around behind me like a little puppy wanted to help and steal a kiss or two.
With the house full of guests – he was “persona non gratis” in the affection territory. He invited them – he could wait until they left. Being newly weds it was the longest dry spell he ever experienced. The kitchen sex scene was much like ours, expect it happened when the family pulled out of the driveway the Saturday following the holiday!
It’s been 34 Thanksgivings as husband and wife and we have never invited the entire clan back for the holiday. I feel as though I could help you write what “not to do” with a house full of people.
I can’t wait to read your take on the events that are to come.
P.S. Be sure the sex toys are buried deep in a dresser drawer and that the Cool Whip topping is in the fridge and not in the bedroom. (Makes for a less embarrassing situation when its time to serve the pumpkin pie…..just saying.)
Author's Response: Oh my God! That is hilarious! I can just imagine what you just described and it is making me laugh and my family glance at me like I have gone insane.
Thank you for reading and reviewing! I love stories like this!

I had my mother-in-law, father-in-law and brother-in-law from out of state stay with us for 3 months while they looked for a house to buy. And we were in a 2 bedroom house with 2 kids. My hubby and I slept on the bottom bed of bunk beds! The longest 3 months of my life! Love your story. I'm sure Edward and Bella will make it through this just like I did. (Biting their tongues on more than one occasion just like me)
Author's Response: 3 months?! Are you still sane and speaking to them? I am not sure I would be. Thanks, babe! I have a bit more in store for these two!

Author's Response: Thank you! My MIL doesn't stop by unannounced, mainly because she lives in another city but she does have a bad habit of always being several hours early when she is coming to visit!

Took me a little while to read all the chapters posted and it was well worth it! I can't wait to read more of it.

I am really gonna enjoy the mayhem that will be Thanksgiving though. I never pictured Esme for being that Mother-in-law. lol
I really enjoyed this chapter and it makes me happy to see that Bella and Edward are finally healing. Hopefully their baby will soon be coming
Author's Response: Esme has to have that one moment and hopefully she learns her lesson. Thank you so much!

As the only member of the family that cooks I always get volenteered to cook at the holidays. I dont mind after my mother in law gave me mushy peas and instant gravy for christmas lunch the first year we were together.
charlie
Author's Response: My hat is off to you, Charlie! Mushy peas and instant gravy would motivate me too though. Thank you for reading and reviewing.

No but I wouldnt doubt it ever happening. My mother in law is such a pain in the ass. But as for the grandparents and them fighting over who they will stay with. I know they are a pain and stressful but I my grandparents are all deceased so tell them to consider themselves lucky. I would give anything to have a thanksgiving with them again so they should all be more greatful they have all their grandparents at their age. Cause I'm 31 the oldest of all the grandkids, the youngest being 11 and we have none :-(
Author's Response: I am so sorry to hear about your grandparents. I have been lucky enough to know all four of mine and I miss the two that are gone immensely. They can cause havoc though and they are really funny. Thank you for reading and reviewing!

These last few chapters have been really great watching these couples integrate their lives and Bella telling the girls about her pregnancy. Can't wait to see how she handles the grandmothers on her turf and if she throws esme out her kitchen.
Author's Response: Thank you! There is throwing but no throwing out. They are finally getting to the business of being married.
