This chapter put my stomach all in a flutter!!!

I have an Idea what Edward would like for her to ride!  LOL  I'm concerned that that large of a group might garner unwanted attention, which makes me more nervous for Edward - and who knows else, to have gun. 

I'm glad R x Em are talking to the priest, because if they go about it through the church, people will be more likely to accept.

I feel so bad for Edward suffering through everything.  He's got to feel so limited in what he can acomplish to right this big injustice!

yes, i learned so much while writing the story myself. my mom's family is from ireland (as in, she was born in cork) so i questioned her a lot. whatever she couldn't tell me i gleaned from books, websites and movies.

Oh lord, the way you describe the sexiness between these two is so real, it's just like you were a fly on the wall. The way he is slowly exposing her to different experiences is so drop dead hot! Her maturity level for being 19, how insightful she is and how supportive she is of edward, is amazing! 

It's too bad about Rosalie and Emmett and the problems that throws them into.  It would have been ideal if she had already taken steps to convert.  I know growing up, I experienced a little of his religious bias.  I was in 6th grade and had the biggest crush on this guy whose dad was the head football coach for  Notre Dame, and they were Catholic.  My grandmother thought I was going to hell right then, because we were protestant, and told me to stay away from him, and that was in the US.  I can't even imagine how much worse it would be in Ireland!

awesome! that's a great compliment (about the sexiness) so i thank you for it. it's really important for the emotions to come off as organic and natural, and not cheesy or contrived. i imagine these two having really good chemistry, so, the sex ~would~ be pretty intense.

it is sad that people who wanted to mix were frowned upon back then. we continue to see these biases event today, and even in the states... it's not always blatant, but it does lurk beneath the surface sometimes...

It's hard to believe, especially in a more civilized country like Ireland, that they could imprison someone without charging them with something. I guess I've become used to? spoiled? by the justice system in America where there are so many checks and balances.  I'm glad her priest came to plead her case and it was obvious everyone breathed a huge sigh of relief. 

Those cops make the term 'pigs' ring true.  They are such bullies trying to manipulate her in to saying soething.

Edward's new flat is all a new adventure for them.  Yay for privacy!

I have never been a coffee drinker, always tea!  In fact, I just got home from school and am having a cup right now, in honor of this story.

This is really gripping my emotions, with all the anxiety associated with them going away on their mission, the not knowing if they got done what they set out to, if they were alright or when they would be back.  I agree with Bella, he could have called. Maybe they considered it men's business?

In real life, I was always under the impression that attacks like this were counterproductive, only serving to piss the other guys off enough to make them retaliate instead of weakening them to where they would give in.  I know it felt productive for these guys to feel like they were out on the offensive showing they were not going  to just sit back and accept t his treatment.  It just seems like it is so hopeless going up against a country that has so many resources and a huge army and navy.

i feel you. actually, i can totally see both sides. there's definitely an appeal in fighting for one's country, doing what you feel with every fiber of your being what you believe is right.

but then there's the question: is this just a pointless, endless cycle? violence begets violence... still, war is war  whether it's local or abroad, "official" or guerilla style.

Another awesome chapter!  I just love how their relationship is solidifying, how she supports him and wants to be there for him and help.  Edward is trying to wear a lot of hats here, and it seems to be concerning him - being able to protect her and run his brigade well.

Confession was interesting.  ;P Alice and Jasper would make quite the power couple.

It was sad about Newton's da dying in prison.

bella really does intend to "stand by her man". :)

this was such an intense time. so many people were lost to violence or imprisonment...and that definitely makes every moment edward and bella have, special. when nothing's certain, i'd imagine you'd take hold of everything, hold on a little tighter.

and, as you mentioned, edward is starting to realize that his commitment to bella rivals his commitment to the cause...

I am really enjoying this story..please come back with more, and soon! Well-written and historical and yet fun at the same time.

Oooooo, I'm at school right now, sneaking a read in, and I feel like I'm all illicit and everything reading about how absolute hot and sexy Edward Cullen is.  It's a wonder Bella hasn't vaporized.

It must've been so frustrating to have lived/be living through those times.
