Hey,

I'm kind of unique in that I only read completed stories. I have memmory and cognative issues that make WIPs just about impossible for me... So if i come upon a story with a summery that I like thats a WIP I bookmark it and then check from time to time if its done. Or (as is the case with this series) I find a recently completed story where I like the authors writing stle and I check to see if they have any more completed works. I believe I found a recently completed one shot you wrote and liked it, and it led me to this series. :)

well that was sad but he asked for it. He left her.  If he had not then Embry would not have imprinted, but would have married someone else.

It was sad, true true true.  As you say, though, Edward precipitated the whole thing by his leaving. He knows it, too.  And that'll be a problem for him for quite some time.  As the series progresses, Edward isn't around much, but he comes to understand that leaving Bella human was a good thing and he enjoys watching her come into her own with her family. :)

Thank you.  I have had, in the past, the tendency to be verbose (I am when I talk, anyway, lol) but I try to keep things pared down when I write. I find it works well for me.  Glad you enjoy it!

OMIGOD! Im crying. And believe me, it takes alot for a story to make me cry! That one line that Jasper said started the water works: Ask her, Edward! Now or I will hurt you. Bella Swan will always be my little sister and you hurt her. Look at her, you still are! This story is just great. Amazing. Like Embry I need better vocabulary(:

Ok so here I am running downstairs again to get to the computer and tell you about how much I loved this freaking story.

So I just finished it but there are a couple of things from the last chapter I wanted to talk about so I'll got back to that one and leave some notest here, eh?

Ok so when I saw it was Edward's POV I was like "what the hell, NOW?" And I was totally NOT having it. But then, you proved me WAY wrong. I mean, I didn't like it, not gonna lie . . . but I get it. And it makes PERFECT sense that you would use him, and then of course the title makes sense now too.

It just all sort of perfectly fit together (well not sort of, right? That's all your creative genius at work).

I guess I didn't like it because I just don't have love for him in this little world you created, but there would always be that "what if" if there were no closure here so it makes perfect sense. And it's not like his POV was bad, it was quite beautiful actually, I just wasn't having it. My dislike of him is profound.

AND GAH, I love how strong Bella had become. I love that she is still ever so selfless but she is making the choice for her too, if that makes sense. ANd it So interesting that she could have gone either way here and I like how you kept that real. That it wasn't "Oh Eddie you know what, I'm just not feeling it anymore." No she still loves him and he obviously loves her but she's making a choice. I REALLY like that and NOW I'm dying to read her POV. I JUST hate that I'm not doing it where I can immediately write to you about all the things I'm dying to talk about. So, I'm WAY excited to start the Bella moments one.

So there was this part, and I don't remember what chapter . . . where Embry was talking about Bella driving and how it seem to make her happy and how it was her truck anyway . . . WOW such a CLEAR difference from her relationship with Edward. I really took note at that moment that his was the right thing. I mean I still feel bad for Jacob but Embry just works here, I love it and it's SO cute.

And that thing that Emily said-- "it's almost impossible to resist such commitment, such devotion." Yeah, WOW. I sat there thinking about it for awhile and it's SO true. Like I can't imagine what I would do if I were honestly faced with something like that. How DO you say no? Especially with that whole--you're their world thing and they only want your happiness and safety. WOW.

Ok so I think that is all I wanted to say about this chapter. And about the story in general I just adored it, wholly. And I'm swooning over your version of Embry, but I TOTALLY don't picture that guy from the movies because I didn't like him, I picture someone else . . . but if I were asked who I couldn't say, I'd just know him when I see him.

So I think I'm going to JUST LOVE this WHOLE freaking Mating Imperative series and I can't wait to keep reading it. Ok I'm off to the previous chapter to leave the notes there about it.

I do get the Edward stuff, yeah. He isn't my favorite character, either, lol, BUT I really wanted to shut that door firmly here at the end of this first story.  I had PMs from people expecting -- for real -- for me to kill Embry off (!!!) and get Bella with Edward anyway.  Gak.

Thank you for liking my Bella. I tried to make her canon, but canon in this circumstance.  I think that her choices were sound from her perspective, so I'm glad you think so, too. :D  Makes me all kinds of happy. 

The truck moment was meant to do just what it did so I am patting myself on the back. *beams*

*Between you and me, my Embry isn't Kiowa Gordon, though he's a sweet kid. My Embry is probably more like Paul Meraz, looks-wise, but taller. LOL*

It was a fascinating chapter for me to write, honestly.  Hard to bring it to a close in a way that did bring some closure, even if it was hard.  You might be interested in reading this part from Bella's POV in the story Becoming Whole: Bella's Moments from the Hardest Part.  The final chapter there gives her POV of this chapter, here.

Wow! That was beautiful, amazing, loving, sweet and agonizing. Embry is so adorable but I feel so bad for Jacob. I thought imprinting was a two-way deal and that the girl would also feel it instantly? Maybe I'm wrong or maybe it just fits better this way in this story. Either way, I think this was an amazing first chapter and I'm really looking forward to the rest!

In canon, Jacob tells Bella that the imprint, the girl, always has a choice.  The male/wolf does not, but his imprint does. In my AU, I try to keep to that. Jacob in canon told Bella that it was likely inevitable that the imprint came to love the werewolf because he'd be nigh on irresistable to her eventually, but it was never a compulsion. More like he would learn and come to be everything she wanted and needed and he'd do it instinctively.

LOL Sorry! I've written I think 5 stories in this Mating Imperative AU, including one "instruction manual" so I guess I might come across all pedantic.
