OMG this is sooooo exciting!!!! I love the connection between Bella and Jake I wish he would tell her he imprinted on her!!!! As for Edward, no way can I blame Jacob for answering Bella's phone like that! After what Edward did to him??!!? It servse him right, Edward is just a smug bastard in this story! lol
Don't get me wrong I love Edward, I have just as many E/B stories as I have J/B and also J/N stories, it depends on the story who I want Bella with and this story? def. Jacob!

I love that there are so many Team Switz and Team Edward fans who are reading this story. It makes me breathe a little easier knowing that I'm not pushing a hard pill to swallow, you know? Especially since, in this story, Edward is really waving his "I'm a prick" flag around so flamboyantly. lol
Jake kind of has a habit of flubbing up his own plans, doesn't he? He tells himself he's not going to let Bella know about imprinting on her. He tries to cover up the 'thought sharing' thing, the next morning only to get busted by handing Bella a bathrobe... Poor guy. He just doesn't want to get his heart ripped out, again. I don't think he's going to be able to hold anything back for long, though. At least, not if Bella asks the right questions. After all. Werewolf-shapeshifter 101 tells us that he can't lie to her. Hehehe ;-)

Its good. I feel so bad for Jake. I always wish that Bella would just wake up and realize that Jacob's the better, healthier choice.

Glad you're updating again. I'm really enjoying this story. I was nervous at first, because you wrote that we would probably be angry with Jake. I wasn't. Despite Edward's feelings, he left AGAIN (like a coward) without concidering what that might do to his wife. I think his real motives for leaving was to remind her how 'pathetic' she was without him, so that she would forgive him like before.
Looking forward to the next chapter....

Sadly, however, I don't believe you are far from the truth, either. Although it was not something he acknowledged *on the surface* it was plain that deep down, Edward believed that time and distance would be the answer to their problems. He would leave, some time would pass, Bella would be calling for him, all would be forgiven and they could go about their lives. Edward might mope and wax on about his own self loathing and how he doesn't deserve his beautiful girl, etc, but in truth, he doesn't know what to do with himself now t hat she is, apparently, willing to stand on her own two feet.
100=odd years of mind reading hasn't taught Edward a whole lot about pushing the boundaries, has it?
So glad that you are still enjoying the story, despite my own absence where updates are concerned.

AHH eddward is such a jerk!! I can totally see him doing something like this though! What a creep! Oh i am so happy that bella is only half something! stronger but human like! i love it! you are so creative and your writing is so inviting! i can't wait to read more! i like that your charters are still true! As for Edward, yeah... he did a crappy thing. I always felt that he had this potential, as well. You might be surprised to find that I don't hate him. I kind of pity him, really. I just hated him for Bella because I always saw this underlying possessiveness there.
I'm really glad that you find the characters believable because it is something that I'm trying really hard to do and I'm thrilled that you enjoy the family relationship that I'm building with Bella and the rest of the Cullens. I also would have liked to see a more realisitic familial bond between them all.

I never even thought of the Isle Esme incident when I wrote that, but now that you mention it, it does sound awfully familiar, doesn't it? lol I've been enjoying your reviews. I really appreciate them. As for how to type the cynical hooting sound... I'll have to think about that one, cause Oooooh just doesn't look right, does it? Hehehe!
As for Edward's dishonesty, I always thought that he was perfectly capable of it, under the right circumstances. Given the fact that Bella is now Edward's wife and not his girlfriend, in the way that I manipulated the time-line, I think it would be very possible. Edward's beliefs are very puritarian and he has never hidden the fact that he has a jealous side to go along with his selfish nature. This fic is not about the Edward bashing, because he's really important to this story, but I wanted to create a realistic scenario for he and Bella to have a rift that used the characters' canon personalities. The whole *Edward never came back* thing just never did it for me. I like me some drama. ;-)

Lol Like I said, before, it is a Bella/Jake, but I'm trying to create this while keeping canon personalities, so I hope I am getting it right. I don't hate Edward. I'm just not so sure I like him for Bella. It has been a little while since I have updated, but only because I have been swamped with insanity, over here. But, I am smack into chapter 20, so the story will go on.

Hmm very well written chapter, I like Leah's pov on the subject. of course I don't want Jake to end up with Bella so I'm hoping that he can stop at just being her friend. But I'd never flame you for your plot. I am adult enough to realise if I don't like something I can quit reading... mind you I'm addicted to your story.... lol
In one of my chapters I had Edward live under a waterfall for awee while to drown out the sounds, and alot of people felt I was torturing him. Made for an interesting week for in email inbox lol. I just figured if I caused that much emotion, then it has to be good right?
So don't let the flamers bother you... just chalk it up and move on.
Just like I'm about to do because I'm still behind everyone else ;p
Author's Response: Sorry that I took so long to respond. I honestly thought that I already had, and then noticed that I hadn't, while looking this chapter over.
It's nice to see that you are enjoying the story, even though you are on Team Edward. This story is one of those "what if?" things that popped into my head and refused to go away. I'm all aboard the Team Jacob ship, but my plot is less about the teams, and more about using the characters' pre-designed personalities and telling the story of what could happen if things hadn't worked out quite so 'picture perfect.'
Oh, and for the record, although I haven't read your fic, I kind of like the idea of Edward trying to work things out in his own mind, in seclusion. Not because it would be torturous, mind you, but because it's different. I can only imagine the pressures he was enduring in your story to make him go to such extremes. And, I agree with your opinion on the matter of the flaming trolls. At least we got reactions, eh? ;-)

Loved the sentence "In my opinion, Jacob Black was an insolent child," LOL Jake and Edward acted so alike it's funny that Edward can't see it.
As you pointed out (I think) that there won't be a renesme, and then that Jake imprinted on Bella I am scared to find out what will happen to Jake and Edward.
And now that Valentino is in the picture I wonder what will happen. It's ironic that the hotel is called Safe Haven when I think it's turning out to be anything but...
