I so want Bella to report the guys who drugged her.  Hope she can grow some confidence and come into her element.  Love this story.  Thanks for the update!

Excellent chapter!

I can understand how Bella feels...Well, not exactly. But I can understand embarrassing yourself in front of the guy you like. Although, I don't think Edward cared too much. He knew what she went through and I believe he expected her to get sick. Now, I don't think he expected her to be naked in the window..lol.

I know that Edward cares about her and I don't think he'll act different about her getting drugged and sick. He might not look at her since he most likely saw her naked and will think about it when he sees her, but that's expected. (I still think he likes her, but is trying to remain professional.)

I wonder what Dr. Hale is going to talk to her about. Maybe to see if she's alright since was drugged the previous night? To see if anything happened to her before Edward got there?

Sorry for the rant. I just love this story! I can't wait to see what happens next!

I worried about the cookies... poor bella!  She thought she was avoiding the drugs, but they put them in the cookies!

Author's Response:

I know, doesn't that seem especially evil?  What a way to ruin an innocent cookie! ;)

Agreed. I did some stupid irresponsible stuff when I was younger, too. Though, when I look back at it, I realize how naive I was. Anything could have happened... but just like you said, I was also so very lucky, and I get it only now.

Author's Response:

I'd like to believe that I had some sort of intuition that kept me from getting into too much trouble and that I was smart enough to keep from succumbing to some of the shadiest things I was exposed to.  But when I think back now I realize how much luck was involved.  Thank god!  I have two daughters and can only hope that they are lucky too when they go through all the adolescent stuff.  I'm not looking forward to witnessing it!

Aaah! I'm loving your story and hoping you'll update with new chapters soon! I am absolutely amazed by this Edward you've portrayed.  I love him. I find myself getting all nervous, embarassed, and flustered along with Bella, lol.  Please keep writing! Please!

Author's Response:

I'm so happy to hear about your response to my Edward - that is exactly what I was going for!  I certainly feel that way about him as I'm writing him.  He is a rare specimen of a man!  Thank you for the review!

I attended more than my share of those scary parties and am just thankful that I am able to write the words that I was there. It was a wonder I survived my idiocy.

I'm really glad you got Bella out in time. Great story you have brewing!

Author's Response:

Three cheers for surviving adolescent stupidity!!!  Thanks again for your review! :)

Reviewer: readergoof (Signed) · Date: May 10, 2010 01:27 PM · On: Forging a Path

i've never heard of something you can put into cookies - brownies yes - cookies no

Author's Response:

Yes, unfortunately even innocent little cookies can be laced with horrible substances.  I was at a party once where I was offered a cookie that was laced with something but no one even knew what was in it.  Everyone that was eating them (I did not partake!) was so f-ed up that they couldn't even stand or talk.  I based the idea for the cookies on my memories of this specific party. Don't get me wrong, I'm not proud of some of the parties that I attended back then.

Okay, that was a nasty party. Just got to luv a party where u almost get date raped:( Thank God Victoria, at least called, someone to come get Bella before abandoning her. I can't wait to see what Edward thinks about this situation.

Author's Response:

Yes, a totally nasty party.  I've been to worse actually.  I hate to admit to my own stupidity at this age, but we all learn from our mistakes!  I hope you enjoy reading the rest of the story and how all the characters deal with the aftermath of the disaster of a party.

Well, yes - Bella was naive - BUT at 16, you don't know how to handle being in that kind of environment.  And she certainly doesn't have the background to be able to correctly judge her surroundings.

Anyway, great job with this story - can't wait to see where it goes from here!

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and leaving a review!  I really appreciate the support and hope that you continue to enjoy the story!

Author's Response:

Yes - and a little too close!  Thanks for your review!

I just read this story and really, really like it. It's well written and true to the real life but not too depressing, but giving hope which is important.

Thank you so much for sharing.

As for the last chapter, I kind of wonder whether Bells did not suspect there was something in the cookie she was given? After all you hear like from little kid not to touch such things at the parties, or perhaps her sheltered life has prevented her from such a knowledge, the fact she didn't have friends her age before to tell her about it.

Author's Response:

I so appreciate your review!  Yes, Bella was pretty naive about the cookie.  I explain her thoughts about this in the next chapter. As you can imagine, she can't believe that she was so naive either and beats herself up about it.  Her situation is unique, because she's been exposed to many unsavory things, but not participated herself.  She's both savvy and naive all at once. And most importantly, she's eager to be normal or what she thinks might be normal.

Thanks again for sharing your thoughts!

wow, wow, wow

i cant wait for more, and i cant wait to see edward take care of bella

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!  I'm so glad that you are enjoying the story!

Oh no :( Poor Bella being so naive and trusting Demetri & Felix, despite how uncomfortable she felt under their attention. Thank god that Victoria took enough care of Bella to make sure she called someone for her - thankfully it was Edward answering Alice's phone or heavens knows what would have happened.

What will the aftermath be, and is Bella really ok, given that she's just closed her eyes with all those drugs in her system.

Author's Response:

All such great thoughts and comments!  I'm sure that the next chapter will answer all of these questions.  Bella will be forced to deal with the aftermath of her poor decisions.  And of course, she is confused as ever!  Thank you so much for your review!

Reviewer: ifka (Signed) · Date: May 10, 2010 02:10 AM · On: Forging a Path

A very good chapter. I appreciate that you describe her entire development, and that you are not only focused on her and Edwards feelings for eachother.

What I recognize from this chapter is the feeling of having visited a friend's home and everything at the friend's just seemed so perfect, and then you come home wanting to change everything.

Author's Response:

Yes, exactly.  Bella's eyes are being opened by Alice and the Cullens.  She is just beginning to realize how narrow her view of life and its possibilities has been.  She is beginning to change her perception and with Alice's help she is beginning to develop a new identity for herself.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful reading and comments!

Quarterback huh.  That's cool.

Author's Response:

Yes, my Jake's a little different.  I keep telling all the Jacob haters not to worry!  There won't be any love triangles in this story!

Thanks again for the review!

lol she was naive to go to a party with some of the dropkicks from therapy.. hello?? lol

Author's Response:

Yes, you are so right.  Isn't it always the kids of druggy fuck ups that generally have all the access to drugs?  She is not just naive, but eager to do what is normal.  She'll learn really quick!  Thanks for the review!
