I am absolutely loving the direction your story is taking. And I'm extremely intrigued with what could possibly be tethering Edward to Heidi.
Here's my guess: perhaps Heidi is blackmailing Edward somehow. Because of the almost affection with which Edward spoke of Aro, I don't think it involves Aro directly. Oooh the possibilities are endless!
And I am very much loving the intimate and romantic gestures Edward is bestowing on Bella. And the best part about it is that I don't think he does it consciously. The way he takes her hand as they're walking, the way he leans into her and breathes her in, it's almost natural and instinctive. Much like the time he laid his head on Bella's lap and momentarily surrendered to her soothing caress.
Your story is wonderfully romantic. I can't wait to read more.

Still with you....but Edward had better have a plan in place. Otherwise he is just a cruel tease. Taking someone to lunch, ok - flowers, holding hands and needing more intimate contact - he's using her. Not ok. I hope he redeems himself in the next chapter!
