Poor Bella! I can see drama headed this way though - of course. Jake + Bella + Edward is never a good mix, no matter how entertaining.

I love that line. "Yes, I could deal with it very well. That was why I was hiding in my bedroom, pretending to be sick." That made me laugh, you have no idea.

One question though. What does WWEFD? mean? What would ............. do?

I read through this chapter this morning when I was suppose to be looking up something for church! When I saw the update everything came to a screeching halt so I could read. (I did get my church stuff done. ;) )Now that I was able to read it again and more slowly I can tell you that this was a good chapter. You don't need to apologize at all.

My main question is about Jessica. At the first of the story she told Edward that he would regret what she did to him, Now that Bella has made herself an enemy to her, is she (Jessica) going to cause bigger problems for the two of them?

Next question--do her dreams have any significance in this story? That was a good dream (her in his arms) but scary too with the Volutri finding them!

I'm glad she is talking to Jake. She needs to have someone, and Jake is always a good one to go to. Edward doesn't understand that no matter how large of a house Bella will feel trapped since she is living a lie.

Can't wait for the next update!!

Jessica is more a gnat than anything else. The scene at the beginning between Edward and Jessica was more to establish Edward as a character than to establish Jessica as a worthy enemy. But I wouldn't be surprised if she cropped up again. Girl likes her clothes and isn't exactly pleased with Bella.

Her dreams are not insignificant, but that doesn't mean things will play out exactly like she dreams.

Just caught up with your story and it is so good.  You are a very good writer and really know how to build a story. 

I can't wait for Edward to get home...he is hopefully going to break when he sees the relationship blooming between Bella and Jacob.   

I just hope Tanya didn't meet in in Haiti...yuck.

Ooh, what a great chapter! Most definitely worth the wait. You characterise Edward really well- he's an individual character with an original twist but in essentials he's still true to the Twilight novels.

I really enjoyed this one and I don't know why, but I found the mental image of Emmett all dressed up smart adorable lol :) Very good, well done.

Thanks so much for the comments on characterization. Edward is complex, and sometimes he is hard to show.

I find Emmett exceptionally lovable in this story. I don't know what sets him apart in this story versus others I've written/read, but I have a soft spot for him. 

I'm glad Jacob is back! Even though I am on Team Edward, I love Jacob as Bella's best friend! :) Plus, I love how Edward gets jealous... it's pretty hot! :)

Likmona! Awesome chapter! I wish she would havedanced once with Edward. Wtf is up with him dancing 3 dances with Tanya? Please tell me he didn't kiss her! GAH! Then he goes all territorial once Laurent starts talking to Bella. I can see why she is a little miffed at how he is treating her. I feel bad for Bella not being able to talk to anyone and being so lonely. I wonder if Edward is going to find out about her talking with Jacob. Looking forward to your next update!!!Bella confronting those two at the table was PRICELESS!!! Great job.

I LOVE this story. You've got me soo reeled in. But you're right in your chap note. This isn't my fave chap cuz I don't like the idea of Bella and Jacob gettin' all cozy while Edward is away. Argh! I did, however, like the drama of Bella's jealousy at the charity gala and her internal dialogue throughout this posting; the emotion she feels for Edward and the fact that she stood up for him to Jacob. I swear, that boy has never had much sense for boundaries. "...I was just ripping on him because I like you." Hmmm. Can you tell that I'm totally Team Edward? :) Hope you get the chance to update more often. YOU'RE KILLING ME!!! :)

Glad you enjoyed Bella's internal dialogue-- I was trying to portray her mixed feelings about Edward. 

The next chapter should go up Thursday, barring anything unusual. 

Ugh!  Jacob!  No!  Please bring Edward back and have him kick his butt!

Wow, you did just an amazing job of showing Edward's hypocrisy, and her isolation.  It totally makes sense that she would turn to some one else not related to him. Can't wait for the next chapter!
