Love this story! Just started it the other day and haven't been able to stop. Good chapter and I'm glad that Edward has stopped being a dick for the time being and I hope that he keeps it up.

Ok, loving the story, but I just finished Chapter 13...hockey has periods instead of quarters. I loved reading your description of overtime...sudden death...LOL made me laugh (in a good way, not a mocking way b/c i made the mistakes all the time until i got used to it). My hockey friends and I call overtime "free hockey", b/c hey, you only pay for the 3 periods and overtime is a freebie!!!
Ok...back to reading chapter 14...

I really love this story.
It actually took me two days and a night to read all the chapters.
I hope you update soon, and I promise not to peek at fanfiction!

Date with Edward - amazing Date going to NHL game - amazing NHL game with Edward - beyond priceless
I have never been so jealous of a fictional character before. Even lemons and diamond rings are not as good. Well...maybe as good, but WOW! What a great date. I have never been on one that good. Way to make your readers hate Bella because she has Edward! :)

Great chapter. I'm glad Bella's been allowed to start her specialty rounding early so she doesn't have to redo her year.
Oh and I can't speak for anyone else but Psych made it to Australia and I love it! Bones too!
Can't wait to read more. Please update soon.

You know, it might cheer Edward up a bit to visit some of the kids in that ward, but given that it's the infectious diseases ward, that's probably not a good idea. And I could have sworn that the pretensious idiot doc who was down on Bella was Dr Powell, not Dr Peters. Maybe I got it wrong... sorry about that.
I didn't need to forgive you, I kinda understood where Edward was coming from, even without knowing the buildup. But now I'm wondering how long it was between Tanya talking to Bella and her talking to Edward; if it was a case of Bella not getting the chance to talk to Edward about it, or if it slipped her mind with everything else going on.
Can't wait to read more!

He would feel sorry for himself right now. MEN. I am glad he is fiction, or I might hunt him down and throw a scalpel in his general direction...I hope Bella holds out and really makes him suffer first. HA. Slutward. :)

WOW! I have been reading your story every chance I got over the weekend. I found it on wed night and have been addicted to it since. I haven't read a story in so long that made me feel like I was there and cry my eyes out at the same time. you are such an awsome writer. I can't wait to get updates and see what else you come up with.

Hey, I've been reading your story for awhile now and wanted to let you know that I enjoy it. You did a pretty good job with the medical stuff, but there are a couple of errors that I thought I'd make you aware of just for you knowledge. First off, CF is not an infectious disease and CFers are almost never put on ID floors because for the most part only a couple of pediatric hospitals in the country have ID floors and secondly because the organisms that infect CFers are mainly only harmful to other CF patients. Doctors and medical personnel wear masks and protective gear not to protect them, but to protect the other CFers and other patients in the hospital with compromised immune systems, etc. CFers are usually put on medical floors or respiratory floors (if the peds hospital has one).
Doctors who specialize in peds go into peds right after medical school. They don't 'join' after the first year out of medical school like some other specialties. Bella would never be allowed to 'join' her specialty early. That's not a medical school choice, that's a state requirement that the doctor has to complete a certain number of hours before they can go to the next level. I'm also a little confused because you've called Bella an intern, but in this chapter Carmen refers to her as a student. If she is an intern, she is not a student and any intern would not be pleased to be referred to as a student even though the reality is that they are still learning.
Doctors almost never have offices directly on the units. Their offices are almost always in the medical school or in the office section of the hospital. Occasionally, the offices are in the hallway directly off the unit. As for how the rotations work for med school, one attending is the 'attending' for the month and has the interns (there are usually 3 or 4) under them and teaches them. At the end of the month, a new attending is in charge of the unit and the interns move to a different rotation (hemoncology, NICU, PICU, surgical, clinic), so you having a whole bunch of ID attendings in the doctor's lounge of the ID unit would never happen. As for an attending assigning an intern to organize a supply closet...well, I won't say it's never happened, but in 20 years of being a pediatric nurse and working at about 40 different hospitals (I'm a travel nurse), I've never even heard of that happening. There are also other doctors who oversee the interns (residents who are second or third years out of med school). Lastly, Bella wouldn't be rounding on one team in the morning (with Dr. K) and then another in the afternoons. It's just not done that way.
All of my comments are based on American hospitals. If you are not American, then I bow to your country's way of doing things. Oops, one more thing, Doctors do not run units, nurses do. Bella wouldn't go up to Angela to find out what she was supposed to do. Angela wouldn't have any idea, though she could point her in the direction of the doctor's lounge. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them for you. Sorry if I've overstepped myself, no harm is meant.
Author's Response: I actually had most of this written a while ago and when I started out I had a different idea of where I was going. I know I majorly biffed on the way I had that worked the internship and her moving up into peds. Anyway, I knew it was wrong, but when I decided to go that direction it was already so deeply into the story that it was too late to fix.
I'm a layman doing my best :) Also, I don't think I said that CF in and of itself was an infectious disease, but that the CF patients had contracted ID's.
Anyway, thanks for pointing out my snafus. I try to do my best to keep things as realistic as possible, but at the same time, I'm taking massive creative license to make it fit my needs. I'm sure it makes a ton of people with medical backgrounds cringe when they read this! Oh well, it's all for fun anyway, right? Thanks for the review

Bella's prom experience? That was mine. Except I didn't have Emmett or Edward to kick his ass for me. Just my girlfriends, who laughed (and helped me laugh) at how stupid men can be. Love this story!!

Great chapter! Ok, I understand why Edward went all psycho now. He really does need to learn to behave like an adult in these situations. I'm glad Bella is having a better time at work now. Can't wait for more!!

Man, is that a load off my shoulders. Loved this chapter and can not wait until you update!! Oh, I loved the little girl Bella met!
