Fantastic chapter, Steph.  I think you really captured the insanity that is Rob + whoever, (Kristen/Jen) so well.  I was at Comic-Con last year (2009) and the Twilight movie thing w/the cast afterwards and it was absolutely INSANE.  It is amazing to me that, even w/the security no one has gotten hurt - THANK GOD, and that includes them and the fans alike. 

I also wanted you to know that my productivity at work today was in the negative numbers (I'm a secretary) because I discovered your/Jen's photobucket...sigh  : )

As for Nick, well, there is something that his name rhymes with that pretty much sums it up...He's really going to have to redeem himself after the shit he pulled.

It truly IS amazing more negative things haven't happened. The absolute frenzy around them is insane, and I'll never be a part of it. respect and admire from afar. support them in their movies. that's all I'll ever do.

Completely and utterly awesome chapter Steph...that was one of my favorites so far...the absolute chaos, the never-ending scrutiny...I don't know how any of them live through it.

And I totally agree with your note...you don't have to be any of the ridiculous labels that people define themselves with in regards to Rob and Kristen's relationship, whatever it may be. But as a card-carrying member of the human race, I feel absolutely horrible for what they go through just to live their lives. This really did what you wanted it to...it made me think. And I have to say, Jen will have a lot to deal with. I guess for me it boils down to this - not wanting to be with Rob because of his celebrity is as bad as only wanting him for that reason. What Jen sees is that what he does is not who he is. He's just a man, and but one that is worth going through the fire for, because of the man he is on the inside, the one she is sees when the camera flashes stop and the doors close on the rest of the world. And to her, that is the man that is worth it.

Just beautiful Steph. I adored this chapter!

My heart is in my throat right now and I feel a little sick.  Jen's dream really shook me, it hurt....to see Kris and Rob walking ahead of her and getting further and further away and then to see the look in Nick's eyes, the pain and regret in Rob's.  You literally made me cry.  And I don't mean just a few tiny tears----my heart broke for Jen and I CRIED!!!!  I can't begin to imagine what all she is going to have to deal with, to learn how to handle, to suck it up, to get thicker skin, etc.  And I did really have to stop and think about how Rob handles all of this in RL.  And do we as his fans make it harder, more difficult for him to have any semblence of a normal life?  There are a lot of us who I know honestly respect him and I hope that were I ever to meet him I would show him the respect and privacy he deserves.  But we all know that there are fans, photographers, etc out there who show him no respect at all.  How does a person live like that?  How do you survive? How do you cope?  How do you grow as a person?  How do you form relationships?  Very difficult questions with no easy answers. 

This was a great chapter.  It made me stop and think, it made me cry, it made me mad, and sad.

Wow! that's all I can say right now. I've read you review a half dozen times, and each time I tear up.

All those questions are what I ask myself every day as i write this, it's what made me write this from the very beginning. How does one cope with it all when it is thrust upon you?

And Jen. she has so much to prepare for. We haven't REALLY thought about that yet...until now. Rob was so ready to be out. but it really is a BIG thing, maybe something he has forgotten or grown numb to. It affects him still, sure, you can see it in his face, in his hunch. But Jen has never before felt the chaos that is fame. not directly. 

The dream has meaning, most certainly it does. is this hiding thing a good thing? being apart from him. it affects them both so much. how will they do it?

sigh. your words make me feel so good about writing this story. to make us STOP and think about his life and of those around him. 

that's all i ever wanted. and you got it. everything. 

thank you so very much. you give me hope.

I've been watching so many youtube vids with robert being interviewed and you describe him so perfectly!!!!  All my friends at work just shake their heads at me while smiling when i use my lunchbreak to catch up on another chapter!!!  I so love the internet on my phone!!!!  Ok, off to read some more!!!

Christ on a crutch Steph, first you whip out the Hungry Rome Rob reference (which is burned into my brain with such clarity, its frightening) then the biting.... NICE! I almost stroked out from the heat flash I experienced!

I'm so glad that all is well with RobJen and the BritPack.  They need the break before the craziness that will be the filming of Bel Ami.
