Oh this chapter was so good! There was so much in it, I wouldn't know where to start. So, so glad that the two of them are moving forward.

Your sudden anouncement that you are taking time off (even if only 2 weeks) is shocking. I don't know what I will do ! don't think you are getting away with it!

Ok, I'm gonna be a complainer for one sec...New York isn't part of the New England states. I grew up in New England (live in Texas now). Just sayin'

Happy they are getting back to normal. Sad that there will be a couple weeks to wait for update, but I get it. RL is a bitch. My kids go back to school in a week and have already started back to dance and football so I get it. I love to story so I will wait with baited breath.

RL Rob, in Montreal with Kristen. Glad he is getting some fun time and down time with his mates. It's obvious that he and Kristen are a thing...just want him to be happy!

Steph! Great chapter. Gonna miss you while you're on break. I know what you mean about getting back to school! My 20 yr old leaves tomorrow to go back to college and the 18 yr old will probably be working on the oilfields of North Dakota soon. I have empty nest syndrome. The stories are my escape.

I LOVED this chapter!   This is what I love about your writing Steph - that even in a chapter with f-hot lemons like this, it's the banter between Mack, Joe and Jen that I enjoy more than anything. 

No one writes funny banter better than you.  And to think that Mr. Johnson is some sort of crazy well known ex-marine or something!  Oh, he must be so proud to be father to our boy Leroy :) :)

Well, Steph, I have been been meaning to type a review way before this, but I couldn't stop reading!!  You have had me in tears and laughter here - seriously the best story I have read so far :-)

 

I just love Jen - she is so beautiful and real, and needless to say Rob is pretty good too!  Keep the chapters coming..   hehe - I await with bated breath!

 

PS:  I just LOVE how you have popped a couple of Top Gear snippets in there - I am a total car freak and TG is my favourite show ever - and before Rob came along, James May was my favourite Brit!  He is on the backburner now though..  LOL

I'm loving Joe he's so sweet and protective of them both and now he knows that Jen knows their sign language, surely there is potential for some fun there??  I'd love to know what they call Kristen before they change it? Thank God Rob and Jen are getting back to normal, I know the timing would be similar, if not longer, in real life, but it's been a long road.  I can't wait for Jen to meet up with her online friend Theatregirl, that could be an intersting conversation.  To help you out, the football term would go "he shoots, he scores!"  or "he shoots and he scores!" with fake cheering noises in the background.  Enjoy your break and as ever I can't wait for the next update - but I will.  Jane x

"that boy has so much draw he could change the tides!" Awww...dear Steph...I was running out of new ways to describe Rob and VOILA!!!  You gave me a new phrase that just says it all so perfectly. I'm with you on the Beastie Boys T-shirt. It's just like Rob, isn't it? Those impeccable British manners that won't let him say it to their faces but instead he lets the vintage t-shirt speak for him. I said a loud "HELL YEAH" in my best Southern drawl when I saw that pic. I just love his sense of humor. Great chappie to leave us hanging on to as you take a much deserved break. I'm so glad Rob and Jen are getting back to normal. Reminds me of Marvin Gaye's song "Sexual Healing".......  MWAH!

I had been all caught up for about ten minutes when this hit!  I almost threw something!  But I saved it for today, when I could read and review deliberately and not be rushed.  For I am so glad they are on the path to normal.

I was surprised to see her on the plane.  I really thought she'd stay back and take care of Mr. P.  But they need this time together.  If he'd left after their little breakthrough, they might have backslid, and that would be very bad.

The baseball references were cracking me up, starting with "What are you thnking about?" all the way through "thirdthirdthird."  Really excellent!

Hope you're hanging in there and really taking your break, ET.  You deserve it!  *mwah*  Miss you!

two weeks. it has taken me two weeks to get to responding... this work and life thing is killing me... can i stop time please? ugh...

hehe. yeah. her on the plane... one of those forks in the road these kids decided to take. Poor Mr. P... he would have loved a little time alone with his new daughter... ah well. it was what Jen and Rob wanted, actually Rob insisted.... they needed to be together. they needed to do this. sigh. 

so glad you liked the baseball references. they're not done yet. And isn't it wonderful that Jen could think about Mike, and think about something that was intimate like this and not cringe or wail or ruin the moment. she is learning to move on. 

break has been so so. so much work at work, i hardly have time to come home and think before the bed is calling. i am so ready for this weekend... then I look forward to thanksgiving... 13 weeks...
