Oh, ET! You know how I have that soft spot about Summit, although I’m sure they’re not as innocent as I would like to believe. This one was rough for me. All that aside, though, it was just the thing Jen needed to regain her strength. She’s always needed an adversary to summon her confidence, and she’s clearly ready to kick some ass now.
Leah is great – I love what you’re doing with her. The person who I think would be the most fierce in all of this (to me) though, is Clare. I hope we get to see/hear her reaction. There were so many lines crossed, but in the end, she wants what’s best for her baby, and I can imagine her being unbelievably furious at handling of this nature. I’m really sad that Mr. P is not there, though, because I think he’d be the rock that Jen needs. I sense that Rob will be quite overwhelmed by all of this.
While I dearly hope he sticks to the plan, I see him caving in a misguided attempt to protect her. That, to me, will be a bigger setback for them than the separation, the baby, or anything else that has come their way… which is ironic, considering that she’s always been the one willing to sacrifice and succumb for him. But I see her rebelling against him doing it for her. So of course, I have to click to the Next and see...
It goes without saying that you’re killing me. In a good way, but killing me nonetheless.

Author's Response: I knew you would have trouble with this one, based on my view of Summit. Of course you know I think they are the devil.... we are the yiing yang for them i suppose. But yes, she needs that adversary to make her put her stirrups on and ride the bull so to speak.
ah Leah... you know how I love TG... and Jen really does need a friend that sits outside the Rob fold that still understands what jen is going through. Leah will be a great ally.
Clare. I ahve already read your other review so i am trying to come up with the words..... Clare is upset by what has happened, but she is also frustrated that this is such a big deal. That her boy. and his girl are stressing over this public thing. that he can't merely be in a relationship with the woman the he loves without feeling some kind of worry over it. And she has no control over that for him. he is truly his own man and must do his thing. He is still her baby, but there are some things she can not take care of. she can try.
and her time in Los angeles with jen has made Rob realize that he has to take care of some things without Mum and dad. does that make sense?
he could very well cave. he does want to protect her. and he knows she is teetering... but then again. he should know by now that when jen is backed into a corner, she comes out talons sharpened. and his denying her would be the worst possible thing for them.... absolutely.... this chapter went thru about 5 radical changes... one day i will show you the first and second drafts... they are so radical (and i don't mean that in an 80's terminology) it scared Theatregirl....

I laugh, because I am in the middle of writing an RPF, which I am not posting until it's done, and I can just imagine the flack I am going to get w/ KStew.. lol
That's another reason I waited to read this one, as I was afraid to read any RPFs for fear that they would influence me. However, w/ Kris as a Beta, i know she'd help me catch it, and, damnit, I miss Rob stories!!!

So, I'm assuming she had a hysterectomy?
If they wanted babies that bad, she's not on hormones, so I'd assume she has her ovaries.. They could get a surrogate?

A little background on her medical- but only a little because it does play a large role in the story.
She has one ovary. She lost one in the accident. She did not receive a hysterectomy. they were able to piece her uterus back together in the accident, although it left her severely scarred, leading to Ashermann's Syndrome. They could most definitely surrogate. But her obsession with being a mother is a little twisted, based on the relationship she had with her mother. She wants to be a mother in every sense of the word. A sad mental position when she can be a wonderful mother by surrogate.
The kid thing is a big topic in this story. Let's just say she has a mental block on what a mother really is....

It makes no difference to me, as I feel you have artistic license to write whatever, but smoking is now illegal in all bars/clubs/pubs in London, actually I think all of the UK, but London I am certain.
I have maaaany friends who that pissed off.. lol Even in the VIP areas, so all the rock stars have to schlep it outside w/ the rest of us commonors.. lol
