Too much BDSM not enough Edward and Bella. Not enough background for either of them, no proper physical description of Edward and heck I really don't care whether Bella sticks sex toys in the dishwasher

I'm glad you stuck with me through the first chapter!  The story is written from Bella's POV, but I have been considering wirting an outtake from Edward.  We'll see how it goes.  Thanks for reading and I appreciate the feedback!

wow...im not a fan of the BDSM stories, but this one has definately has me intrigued and also, the amount of reviews you had for just one chapter had me interested. =]

Yes, very well written and apparently carefully researched. 

It is so hard for me to see this as a Bella-Edward story, so if I keep reading, I might have to imagine some other characters. 

It is hard for me to understand them taking this on 24/7; I've read some blogs on the topic, and I understand some of the basic power exchange concepts, but I have trouble imagining *Bella* voluntarily giving up her job, her education (she would have to have a PhD) and her ownership of her own thoughts completely, full-time, and permanently.

I know there are people who live this lifestyle, and I mean no offense, truly, but it seems so....selfish....in some way.  Bella's entire being is given over to Edward's whims, demands, and ownership.  He may to do her what he wishes.  But why?  Do they love each other? Is love not the point? Is it just about sex, or is it about something else?  Why is it full-time?  Why, why, why?

It is a testament to your writing, as well as to the fixed characters in my mind, that this chapter makes me so deeply uncomfortable.  I am no prudish reader, and I have enjoyed reading a few of the other BDSM stories, but this...I think it just takes me so far away from the characters and so far outside my ability to empathize with others that I don't really know how to read.

Thank you for your thoughtful review and for taking the time to let me know your feelings.  I think I understand where you are coming from.  When I first found out that there are people who live like this, I was both intrigued and repelled.  Part of my motivation for writing this was because I wanted to figure out why a person would choose this and what their life would be like.  As far as seeing Edward and Bella in these roles, it didn't seem like quite as much of a stretch when I was on a Domward binge as I had been before I started working on this.  But this story contorts those characterizations to even greater extremes, so I understand your difficulty.

I don't actually know any people who participate in this kind of lifestyle, I've only read accounts on the internet and such.  I wish I could definitively say that it is about love or sex or some personality trait, but the motivation is probably unique to each relationship.  In my mind, there has to be love ultimately motivating a person in this day and age to sacrifice so much.  At least that is a large part of what motivates Bella in this story and it will be explored as the story progresses.  In some ways I think of it like a mother who relinquishes her career aspirations in favor of rearing her children.  It isn't a perfect analogy, I know, but it is the closest I can come to relating to the thought process.

I hope you keep reading, but I understand if you decide this too far out of your comfort zone.  I really appreciated hearing your thoughts.

Intrest= yes, its great keep going, BDSM is great to read.

I liked the chapter is good- I'm trying to work out the plot before you tell us though- Is the master Edward or someone else and Edward gets worked into the story another way lol.

I'm glad you liked the first chapter.  Yes, Edward is Bella's Master.  There is one small clue in the chapter, but it will be more definitively established in Chapter 2.  Still, Bella doesn't think of him as Edward, so you won't see his name very often.
